The sound of police sirens rang out outside; it must be Sister Li and her team who had tracked them down.
Xie Wei looked at the little girl, who was still wearing the JK uniform she wore for the performance, nestled in his arms, and gently patted her back, speaking softly.
"Little Candy, we should go out now."
Su Tang seemed not to hear her and did not react at all.
Xie Wei, unable to hold the girl, shook his head and sighed softly. He then steadily lifted her legs, intending to carry her out.
The person in his arms seemed to sense the man's intentions. She snuggled closer to him, wrapped her arms around Xie Wei's neck, found a comfortable position, and then crossed her long, white-stockinged legs around Xie Wei's waist.
The little girl's overreaching behavior made it impossible for Xie Wei to dislike her.
When Xie Wei came out of the door, the police entered the house and were stunned by the terrible state of Lian Shiwei. One of his hand bones was crushed and several of his ribs were broken. He had probably fainted from the pain.
The lead policeman remembered what his superiors had told him: not to be alarmed by anything they saw and to keep the matter to themselves.
Arrange for someone to take Lian Shiwei to the hospital immediately.
Sister Li walked up to Xie Wei, glanced at Su Tang, and breathed a sigh of relief when she found that Su Tang was unharmed.
"Thank you, young master. Thank you for your help again." Sister Li bowed deeply to express her gratitude.
Xie Wei waved his hand and patted Su Tang, trying to get her to come down.
Su Tang ignored him and used both hands and feet to hug Xie Wei tightly, seemingly venting her dissatisfaction >_<.
"Miss might be overly frightened," Sister Li immediately covered for her mistress and tried to cover for her.
In the end, Xie Wei still carried Su Tang into the car that Sister Li had driven.
"Young Master Xie, shall we go first?" Sister Li asked tentatively.
Xie Wei looked at the person in his arms and reached out to pinch her cheek.
"Xiange Bar"
Upon hearing Xie Wei's answer, Su Tang looked up in surprise, only to meet Xie Wei's gaze.
Xie Wei raised an eyebrow, looking at Su Tang with an expression that said, "I'm just waiting for you to take the bait."
Without needing many words, Xie Wei's choice already proved a lot. Su Tang blushed and shrank back into Xie Wei's arms.
Sister Li, who was driving in front, looked at the two people behind her through the rearview mirror and looked like she had just been knocked in the foot.
Upon arriving at Xiange, Sister Li got out of the car and opened the door for Xie Wei.
Xie Wei carried Su Tang out of the car, swiped his fingerprint to enter the house, went upstairs, and put Su Tang on the bed in her original room.
"Alright, now that everyone's gone, you little turtle, it's time to tell me what happened today," Xie Wei said seriously, looking at Su Tang who was pretending to be dead.
"Brother Xingzhi, when did you find out?" Su Tang opened her eyes and looked up at Xie Wei.
Xie Wei rolled his eyes. "There are too many flaws; I don't even know where to begin."
"How could the dignified little princess of the Su family not have her own personal bodyguards?"
"Oh, I sensed several presences outside the villa. I wonder what their purpose is."
"And it's quite a coincidence that you had a conflict with him right after I arrived." He narrowed his eyes slightly, his scrutinizing tone already quite obvious.
"Besides, you didn't have any conflict with him, did you? Someone must have seen me coming and sent you a signal through something, which is why you shouted."
Xie Wei's voice grew increasingly stern, as if he were truly enraged.
"Brother Xingzhi, are you angry?" Su Tang knew she was in the wrong, so her voice softened.
Xie Wei pretended not to hear and continued, "The fact that so many flaws were exposed can only mean that these were all impromptu decisions on your part."
"You used yourself to scheme against me, using yourself as bait to lure me into a trap..."
"Does Brother Xingzhi hate me?" Su Tang interrupted Xie Wei.
At first, she pretended to be scared, but Xie Wei didn't comfort her. Instead, he told her to talk to Su Tang about going out. Su Tang then knew that Xie Wei had seen through everything and was angry.
She felt a little regretful, but mostly happy. She knew Xie Wei was angry not because she had deceived him, but because he was worried about her safety.
This was indeed a spur-of-the-moment decision by Su Tang, and the method was certainly somewhat dangerous.
So the subsequent shameless clinging to Xie Wei was all to coax him, and it seems to have worked quite well.
Hearing Su Tang's words, Xie Wei pursed his lips, but finally shook his head, "I can't bear to part with it."
"So... you like me?" Su Tang's eyes sparkled with anticipation, looking every bit like a young girl.
"Hmm," Xie Wei knew that Su Tang's impromptu idea was all to make him see his own heart clearly.
Given all this, how could Xie Wei possibly dislike her?
"Really?" Su Tang sat up and leaned closer to Xie Wei.
Xie Wei glanced at Su Tang, noticing her somewhat excited expression, and waited quietly for what she would say next. This little girl definitely wouldn't let her off so easily.
As Xie Wei had predicted, Su Tang continued, "I don't believe it. I want Xingzhi to prove it to me."
"I was a little frightened today, I need a kiss from Xingzhi to comfort me."
Xie Wei chuckled softly and leaned down, intending to give the little girl a light kiss as she had suggested.
As their lips met, Su Tang wrapped her arms around Xie Wei's shoulders, and the little girl's "little snake" seemed to break free of its restraints, rushing recklessly into Xie Wei's body, catching him off guard.
The comforting conversation lasted for nearly fifteen minutes.
"Ha ha……"
"Ha ha……"
Su Tang's face flushed red, and she was momentarily out of breath. Her long, alluring eyes were filled with a captivating, dreamy quality, like a thirsty person seeking sustenance.
"Brother Xingzhi," Su Tang released her hand from Xie Wei's shoulder, instead crossed it behind Xie Wei's neck, moved her head back, looked at Xie Wei with reddened eyes, and called out to him.
