Chapter 26 "Happy Wedding".

Chapter 26 Indulging Your Pampered Nature: "Happy Wedding."

Liang Jingzhuo's dinner reservation time was just right; there was still an hour before the Victoria Harbour fireworks show after they finished eating.

After leaving the restaurant, they didn't take a car, but walked directly to the shore.

Traffic is restricted near Harbour City tonight; taking a car is not much faster than walking.

Xie Qingci, unaware of today's plans, asked him, "Where are we going?"

The evening breeze was a bit strong at the harbor ferry crossing, blowing across her bare shoulders and ruffling her hair. Liang Jingzhuo glanced at her exposed shoulders and back, unbuttoned his suit jacket, and draped it over her shoulders.

"There will be a fireworks show in Victoria Harbour tonight."

Xie Qingci paused for a moment when she was suddenly enveloped in a warm sensation from body heat on her shoulder.

Liang Jingzhuo straightened her collar. "Or do you not want to see it? Then we can go back now."

go back?

Where to go? To the hotel?

Xie Qingci immediately straightened her back and said decisively, "Let's go, there's still plenty of time, no rush."

Liang Jingzhuo glanced at her suddenly tense expression and replied, "Okay." He then led her to continue walking towards the dock.

Several fireworks viewing spots are bound to be packed tonight, and he didn't want to take her to those crowded places, so he simply chartered a yacht, which was closer, had a better view, and avoided the crowds.

This was Liang Jingzhuo's first time arranging a date like this, and he wasn't sure if Xie Qingci would like it, but he figured that girls' preferences wouldn't be too different.

Several of my business partners from mainland China bring their female companions to watch the Victoria Harbour fireworks show almost every year.

The magnificent night view, coupled with the dazzling display of lights, is truly an unrepeatable sight.

As they boarded the ship at the dock, Liang Jingzhuo turned around and helped Xie Qingci.

The pedal swayed slightly as she stepped onto it with her high heels. A wave surged over her, causing her to stumble slightly, but her hand landed steadily in his palm.

He loosened his grip slightly, gave her a quick squeeze, and her shoulder unexpectedly bumped into his chest, which he then pulled her close.

Once he stepped onto the deck and steadied himself, he asked her, "Are you alright?"

He was worried that she might get seasick if she hadn't used water transport much before.

Xie Qingci looked down at the ground beneath her feet and nodded, "It's alright, nothing's wrong."

When Shen Chutang was in Jingzhao, he often took her to various cruise ship parties, so she was no stranger to them.

Liang Jingzhuo glanced at her expression to make sure she was alright before leading her to the front.

Stepping onto the fore-deck, the wind picked up, and even though her skirt covered her ankles, a cool breeze was blowing, and Xie Qingci did feel a bit cold.

Liang Jingzhuo glanced at her legs beneath the swaying hem of her skirt, then turned and asked a staff member on the ship for a blanket. "You can sit down and cover yourself with the blanket."

The night view of Victoria Harbour is indeed irreplaceable, stunning, and dazzling. Xie Qingci's gaze lingered on the brightly lit buildings in the distance.

Hearing this, he turned around and replied, "Okay."

The soft chairs and sofas, the wine and fruit platters—everything was prepared perfectly and thoughtfully. Xie Qingci inexplicably felt that today was finally a real date.

Shortly after they were seated, the yacht started up and sailed to the best viewing spot to dock.

Liang Jingzhuo's time management was perfect. Shortly after the yacht was moored horizontally, the countdown to the fireworks display began.

Under the night sky, the sea ripples, reflecting the extravagance at the very top of the city, and even the whistling sea breeze becomes indistinct as the countdown begins.

As the timer reached zero, amidst a roar, clusters of sparks rose into the air and exploded with a "bang," a shower of golden light rising and falling like a torrential rain, a dazzling and breathtaking spectacle.

Cheers of celebration for the prosperity of the motherland came from the surrounding yachts. Xie Qingci tilted her head back and smiled along with them.

The dazzling light and shadow fell into her eyes, just like a grand fireworks display.

Liang Jingzhuo's gaze lingered for a moment on the continuously burning brocade in mid-air, then he turned to look at the person beside him, paused for a while, and took out something he had prepared for a long time.

Hsieh Ching-Tzu has seen many fireworks displays, but this is the first time she has seen one at sea, up close. It felt like the fireworks were exploding right in front of her, a truly breathtaking visual experience.

The fireworks show lasted a long time, and her neck was getting sore from looking up. Just as she was about to lower her head to relax, a voice called out, "Xie Qingci," accompanied by the sound of the sea breeze.

She turned her head to look over.

Liang Jingzhuo sat beside her, holding up a diamond ring in his hand. "I said I'd get you a new one after we registered our marriage."

He kept his promise.

The ring was custom-made with the designer the day her ring size was determined. Custom jewelry usually takes a long time, and his requirement was to do it as soon as possible. He promised to replace it with a new one after they got their marriage certificate, and he was determined to do so.

Amidst the booming sound of fireworks, Xie Qingci smiled and extended her hand, "Thank you..."

She stopped mid-sentence.

She remembered what he said—that they didn't need to say thank you.

He then said, "Okay."

Liang Jingzhuo lifted her hand and added another ring to her ring finger, which already wore a wedding ring.

A carat fire diamond, refracting brilliant light under the shadows.

After putting it on, he looked up at her.

The fireworks, still exploding in mid-air, cast their light into their eyes. Xie Qingci met his gaze, her breathing suddenly slowed, and she stiffened her back as if she knew what he was about to do.

The sea breeze caressed my face, swaying my skirt and hair, and the world was plunged into a grand carnival, lively and exciting.

Liang Jingzhuo looked at her for a moment, then leaned down slightly and placed a kiss on her forehead. "Happy wedding."

-

The fireworks show lasted for more than twenty minutes. After it ended, Liang Jingzhuo asked Xie Qingci if she wanted to sit on the yacht for a while longer.

She shook her head firmly. Compared to the awkward situation of going to the hotel, she felt that being exposed to the wind was more unbearable.

She was even a little worried that she might catch a cold when she got back.

She poured herself a small glass of champagne halfway through, but it was too cold in the end, so she only took a sip, and Liang Jingzhuo drank the rest for her.

On their way back to the restaurant's parking lot after leaving the yacht, they finally encountered the dispersing crowd.

Police officers maintaining order were observing the situation vigilantly on the roadside. There were so many people that they were almost touching each other from head to toe. Xie Qingci was constantly being protected by Liang Jingzhuo in front of her.

His strong arms, like barriers breaking through the current, opened up a space for her to breathe freely, while one hand steadied her shoulder to prevent her from tripping.

When someone tried to cut in line, he would give way and reassure her, "No rush, we'll go later."

The tremor from the fireworks explosions on the yacht still seems to linger in my heart, making my heartbeat clear and throb.

Xie Qingci replied softly, "Okay."

After finally getting out of the crowded area, the crowd began to disperse, and a father carrying a child walked past me.

The little dumpling, who was dozing off on his father's head, didn't hold onto his lollipop tightly.

The sticky candy fell down and hit Liang Jingzhuo's shoulder.

He was wearing a white shirt for registration today, and the lollipop rolled off, leaving colorful marks.

Xie Qingci glanced at the conspicuous mark, took out a wet wipe from her bag, and said, "Wipe it off first."

She always brings all the necessary small items when she goes out.

Liang Jingzhuo took it, wiped it a couple of times, and then left it at that, but he probably wouldn't want the shirt anymore.

After passing the port, the wind wasn't so strong anymore. Xie Qingci took off her coat. "You can put this on. There's not much wind now."

The wind had chilled her to the bone, and only now did she finally feel some warmth.

Liang Jingzhuo didn't take it. "No need, I'll just change into something else later."

This thought, which had calmed Xie Qingci's heartbeat, made her babble incoherently, "Okay."

While they were having dinner, Lu Li went back to the Liang family mansion and asked Uncle Zhong and Aunt Ali to pack some of Liang Jingzhuo and Xie Qingci's clothes.

Knowing that the two wouldn't be coming back tonight, Zhuang Shuying and Aunt Ali exchanged a silent glance, and only laughed together after seeing Lu Li off.

Zhuang Shuying was very pleased with this and ordered no one in the family to call Liang Jingzhuo tonight, especially Liang Junshi, who always asked him about work. Even if the sky were to fall today, he was not allowed to talk to him.

Liang Junshi glanced at her speechlessly, "Why are you so happy? It's like you're in love."

Zhuang Shuying rolled her eyes at him, "Xiao Ci is studying, so it's hard to arrange a honeymoon. Can't we let them have some time alone together? Give me your phone, I'm confiscating it."

Liang Junshi sighed helplessly: "Am I that clueless? Besides, when have I ever been constantly on the phone with Jingzhuo?"

Zhuang Shuying snatched the phone from his hand. "Do you think I don't know? Ever since Jing Zhuo joined the company, when have you ever let him have it easy?"

Zhuang Shuying wasn't upset if this wasn't brought up. After all, he was her son, and she was bound to feel sorry for him. "I think you'd be happy if he became a heartless work machine!"

No matter how glamorous the outside world portrays them, only they, as fathers and mothers, know the hardships they endured.

Liang Junshi frowned helplessly, "Wasn't that to give him some experience?"

Zhuang Shuying stopped arguing with him, took his phone and turned around, saying, "I don't care, I'll return it to you tomorrow morning."

-

Liang Jingzhuo also booked a hotel in Harbour City, with the same suites offering panoramic views of Victoria Harbour.

After going upstairs and inserting the room card, he asked Xie Qingci, "Do you want to take a shower first? You were in the cold wind for a long time."

The completely unfamiliar, enclosed environment brought back the awkward feeling of being in the same room last night. Xie Qingci glanced at the fructose stains on his shoulder and said, "You go first, your clothes are dirty."

Liang Jingzhuo didn't insist further and simply replied, "Okay," before entering the bathroom.

Xie Qingci was left alone in the reception room. She sat on the sofa for a while and glanced at the two bags of clothes that Lu Li had just brought over.

I walked over, picked up hers, unzipped it, and checked what clothes Aunt Ali had brought her.

I brought all my outerwear, underwear, and pajamas.

When her fingertips reached the pajamas and touched the familiar fabric, she paused for a moment, pulled them out, and then closed her eyes.

Before coming, she didn't know she would be sharing a bedroom with Liang Jingzhuo, and she even brought a V-neck slip dress with her.

But after learning that she would be sleeping with him, she put the nightgown away, as the style was really not suitable.

Where did Aunt Ali find this?

She brought three sets of pajamas: one long-sleeved, one short-sleeved, and this nightgown.

As luck would have it, I picked this one.

Scrolling down further, I was relieved to find that I had brought all my underwear.

After the clothes were sorted out, Xie Qingci took them one by one to the dressing room and hung them up.

At that moment, I heard the bathroom door open behind me.

She assumed Liang Jingzhuo had finished taking a shower.

I turned around and glanced at him, then told him, "I'll hang your clothes up for you. If you leave them pressed down, they'll wrinkle tomorrow and you won't be able to wear them..."

She spoke the last word in gradually decreasing volume, her gaze fixed on the person walking out of the bathroom, and after two seconds, she slowly opened her eyes wide.

Liang Jingzhuo hadn't showered yet, and when she was taking off her clothes, she realized she had forgotten to bring her pajamas, so she went out to get them.

He had taken off half of his clothes, untied his tie and hung it around his neck, pulled the hem of his shirt out of his trousers, and unbuttoned them all, revealing well-defined and full abs, as well as a firm and smooth chest.

He is abstinent yet carefree, exuding a subtle, sophisticated sexiness.

He glanced up at the shirt she had hung up for him and said, "I forgot my pajamas."

After saying that, he stepped forward, stood behind her, and went to the wardrobe to get his pajamas.

Xie Qingci held her breath in shock, her vision suddenly blocked by his body. As he raised his arm to grab his clothes, his shirt opened even wider, revealing his muscular physique.

She even felt that if she moved forward even slightly, she would bump into him.

With his neck stiff, adhering to the principle of not looking at what is improper, he slowly turned his head back, his ears inexplicably burning, and he responded with a soft "Mmm".
