Chapter 57 Indulging Your Pampered Lingerie
Even a 100-kilometer training run is nothing special.
Xie Qingci felt that she had never sweated this much even during a two-hour private weight training session for women.
She's dehydrated.
Liang Jingzhuo asked her if she wanted to take a shower. She still had reservations about showering with him, but unfortunately, she didn't have the strength to stand up, so she could only reply, "Okay."
Her eyes were still red and swollen from crying, so Liang Jingzhuo picked her up and took her to take a bath.
I encountered some difficulties when helping her put on her bra. It was easy to take it off, but it wasn't so smooth to put it on.
After studying the snap fasteners for a while, I finally managed to put it on smoothly.
When she lay down on the bed, Xie Qingci simply closed her eyes lazily.
I had only been comfortably lying down for a few seconds when I was pulled to a warm chest by a pillow.
She remained still, letting him manipulate her.
Liang Jingzhuo kissed her forehead and asked, "Are you hungry?"
He nodded subconsciously, then quickly shook his head, "No."
I'm so tired, I don't even want to go to eat. I'll just go hungry and eat tomorrow.
As if knowing what she was thinking, Liang Jingzhuo took out his phone and said, "I'll order food; you can eat in your room."
Just after I finished doing that, Lin Lexin sent me a message.
Ask him: "Have you seen your sister-in-law yet?"
For New Year's Eve, Liang Jingzhuo had always spent it in the office every year.
All the other employees had left work, but he stayed at the company to work overtime. He never felt that this day was anything special; it was just that the calendar had moved forward another notch.
Even today, Lin Lexin called to ask if he had arranged the concert tickets for her yet.
He was busy boarding the plane at the time and only replied, "I'll send it to you when I get back."
The person on the other end of the phone cheered, then, remembering the special day, casually asked, "It's New Year's Eve in China today, you're not going to work overtime at the company, are you?"
He was stunned for a moment before realizing that tonight was the last day of the year.
He originally planned to return to Hong Kong Island to finish his work before going directly to Jingzhao, as there were several urgent documents that he had to approve in person.
He recalled seeing a post on Xie Qingci's WeChat Moments from last year's New Year's Eve, showing her having dinner with her classmates.
Posted right at midnight, with the caption: 【May your wishes come true, and may peace prevail year after year.】
After hanging up the phone, I changed my travel plans and decided to go directly to Jingzhao to find her, but I never expected to miss her like that.
He went to Beijing, but she came to Hong Kong Island.
He replied: "I saw him."
Just as I was about to put down my phone, the person in my arms opened their eyes, looked over, and asked in confusion, "Who is this?"
Xie Qingci had met almost all of Liang's relatives and friends at the Liang family mansion, so this name seemed unfamiliar to her.
Lin Lexin sent another message saying that the fireworks over Victoria Harbour tonight were absolutely stunning.
Liang Jingzhuo glanced at the message and replied, "The younger sister I told you about before."
Xie Qingci remembered, and then suddenly realized something, and looked up, "Wasn't it her who told you where I was last time?"
Afterwards, she asked him how he found her, and he replied that a younger sister had seen her.
Liang Jingzhuo replied to Lin Lexin with a "Hmm." He put down his phone, turned around, and said, "Yes, she went out to play and happened to run into you."
Xie Qingci thought back for a moment and seemed to vaguely remember that a girl had been staring at her.
She initially thought it was one of her classmates.
Liang Jingzhuo didn't intend to chat with Lin Lexin. After telling her to go home early, he planned to put down his phone.
The very enthusiastic Lin then sent another message asking: "Where are you and your sister-in-law? In Jingzhao?"
He replied: "No, it's on Hong Kong Island."
Lin Lexin became even more excited and asked him if he would bring Xie Qingci to the banquet tomorrow night. She wanted to attend with her mother and take the opportunity to meet her sister-in-law, whom she had met before but was not yet familiar with.
The Liang family holds a New Year's Eve banquet every year on New Year's Day. In previous years, Liang Jingzhuo would leave after giving a speech and would not stay at the venue for long.
He glanced at the message Lin Lexin had sent, then turned to look at the person who was also replying to a message on their phone.
"The company is having a New Year's dinner tomorrow, are you going?"
If she didn't want to go, they would go out alone; if she wanted to go, he would take her out for a while.
Xie Qingci looked over and saw Lin Lexin's message on his phone screen. After thinking for a moment, she nodded, "Okay."
Go and meet with this girl, and tell her not to reveal her whereabouts so easily in the future.
Liang Jingzhuo agreed and told Lin Lexin that Xie Qingci would go.
Lin Lexin was overjoyed and excited about finally meeting her sister-in-law. She then chattered on about how beautiful the Victoria Harbour fireworks were that night, lasting a full half hour. "Did you see them? Where did you watch them? At Harbour City? Or on a yacht? I wouldn't mind seeing my sister-in-law right now!"
Liang Jingzhuo didn't reply; he simply turned off the screen and put down his phone.
Xie Qingci suddenly remembered that just now, he had whispered "Happy New Year" in her ear, and she hadn't seen any of the stunning fireworks that lasted for half an hour.
Just as her cheeks were getting hotter, the doorbell rang outside the bedroom. Liang Jingzhuo's meal had arrived.
Although Liang Jingzhuo said they could eat in the room, Xie Qingci didn't have that habit and went to the restaurant with him anyway.
She thought the catering would be extremely busy tonight, but she didn't expect it to be delivered so quickly.
The packaging box was exquisite and detailed, but it was impossible to tell which restaurant it came from, although the taste was good.
She casually asked, "Which restaurant?"
She looked within a three-kilometer radius and found that none of the restaurants offered delivery at that time; most of them had already closed down.
Liang Jingzhuo pushed a plate of peeled shrimp in front of her, took off his gloves, wiped his hands with a cleaning wipe, and replied, "It was arranged by the property management."
No wonder it was so fast.
Xie Qingci recalled that the property manager had asked her last time if she needed help arranging a chef to come over; indeed, nothing is impossible.
She glanced at the shrimp, now completely shelled and piled on the plate, pursed her lips, and then picked one up and put it in her mouth.
After dinner, Xie Qingci went to pack her luggage, while Liang Jingzhuo took the time to read a few urgent documents.
When Xie Qingci squatted in the dressing room and opened her suitcase, she saw the gift Ke Meng had stuffed in yesterday. It was a black and pink color-blocked item, very exquisite.
She didn't bring many personal belongings, but this box took up most of the space in her suitcase. She took it out; the box looked big, but it wasn't heavy.
Ke Meng repeatedly instructed that she should wait until she and Liang Jingzhuo met before opening the package, and said it was a gift for the two of them together.
Now that we've met, Liang Jingzhuo—
She turned around and glanced back.
He hasn't gone back to his room yet.
He hung the clothes in the closet, packed his suitcase, and took the gift box as he went out.
Liang Jingzhuo was in his study. After reading through several urgent documents, he went to take over a video conference with an overseas meeting that came up unexpectedly.
He was usually home alone, and the study door was habitually left open. Xie Qingci only realized he was busy when she walked to the study door.
Sitting behind my desk, head down, flipping through documents, I could hear the sounds of a meeting coming from my computer.
Her steps were very light. She paused when she saw this, intending to retreat silently again. But Liang Jingzhuo looked up at that moment.
She stopped retreating, and just as she was about to signal him to continue, he noticed what she was holding first.
It's like a gift.
Ask her with your expression: Is it for him?
Xie Qingci glanced at what she was holding, nodded, and thought to herself that there was no rush and she could look at it after he finished his work.
He nodded to her, signaling her to come over.
The meeting continued, with a constant stream of discussions taking place. Since it wasn't yet time for him to express his opinion, no one called on him.
Xie Qingci walked over quietly, wanting to say that it was a gift from her roommate, whom she had met that night, but when the words were on the tip of her tongue, she felt that it was not a good time to speak, as he was still in a meeting.
So she silently handed him the box.
Liang Jingzhuo took the box and remembered that Xie Qingci had said she would give him a gift. He assumed that she had bought it for him and began to unpack it.
Some of the elaborate and exquisite packaging boxes were a bit troublesome to open, and he didn't know what she had bought.
The packaging looks somewhat feminine, which is not the kind of packaging style that men's products would choose.
Just as he was about to open the lock by untying the last ribbon and pinching the clasp with his fingertips, the report on the computer ended, and he heard someone calling him to offer their opinion.
He responded, looked up at the camera, and was about to speak when his subordinate opened the box, glanced at it, and then suddenly paused.
He swallowed the words he had only spoken halfway through.
Xie Qingci watched him unpack the box, and was wondering what Ke Meng had bought, with all these layers and so much trouble. The next second, a piece of sexy lingerie folded inside an exquisite lining came into view.
She was also taken aback.
Three seconds later, when Liang Jingzhuo had come to her senses and looked up at her, she shouted in her heart: Ke Meng!!!
Liang Jingzhuo suddenly fell silent. His subordinate, who was waiting for him to speak on the other side of the screen, paused for a few seconds and then asked timidly if there was anything that needed to be adjusted.
He replied, "No, just do it this way. Send a copy of the proposal to my email."
Then the video call was abruptly ended.
Xie Qingci glanced at the computer screen that had exited the meeting interface, her clenched hands sweating, thinking that it might just be a misunderstanding.
Liang Jingzhuo looked at her and asked, "Are you inviting me?"
"..." Xie Qingci took a breath and said frankly, "No, I didn't buy this."
Liang Jingzhuo didn't speak, just looked at her quietly, seemingly not very convinced.
She replied truthfully, "It was a gift from a classmate... You saw it the other day, Ke Meng."
I really can't trust her too much; she's completely unreliable. I should have opened it and checked first.
Liang Jingzhuo glanced down at the items in the box and replied, "Mm."
They then put their hands together and said, "It's too late today, I'll try tomorrow."
"…………"
What?!
-
New Year's Day is a public holiday in Hong Kong, so Leung King-chuk didn't have to go to the company. They went to bed too late last night, and the two of them woke up late as well.
After I got up, Aunt Li had already arrived. It was past breakfast time, and lunch would be served in two hours, so I only prepared some simple meals for them.
Xie Qingci was so sleepy that she just wanted to eat and then take a nap.
She was groggily awakened by a kiss in the dimly lit room, her vision blurred, her senses amplified, and she could only feel the wet, burning kiss on her lips. She responded sleepily, and just as another intense encounter was about to begin, Liang Jingzhuo's phone rang.
The process was interrupted as he got up and went out to answer the phone. Although he did nothing, it broke her deep sleep. She didn't know exactly when Liang Jingzhuo returned.
Thinking of this, she secretly glanced at the person sitting opposite her.
Even in relaxed loungewear, she was dressed impeccably and quietly eating breakfast, revealing no hint of anything untoward beyond her charm.
Aunt Li did a simple cleaning of the house and asked whether the clothes in the washing machine had been washed or not.
Xie Qingci paused for a moment upon hearing this, then quickly replied, "It's already washed. You can leave it there; I'll put it away myself later."
She was the one who cleaned up the mess in the living room last night. She threw away his shirt again, put his underwear and some of her own washable clothes into the washing machine, set the drying program, and then went back to her room to sleep.
I planned to put it away in the morning, but I forgot.
Aunt Li replied with a "okay".
After breakfast, Aunt Li cleared away the dishes, and Xie Qingci went to collect the laundry.
She folded her own clothes and put them in the laundry basket, then paused for a moment when taking out the underwear she and Liang Jingzhuo had washed in the lingerie washing machine.
Last night, as he held her hand, the memory of touching that fiery secret place swept through his mind without warning. His fingertips felt as if they had been burned by the temperature of that memory, and he suddenly clenched his fist.
Avoiding those inappropriate thoughts, she quickly folded her underwear and left the laundry room. When she came out, only Liang Jingzhuo was left in the living room; Aunt Li was nowhere to be seen.
She asked, "Where's Aunt Li?"
Liang Jingzhuo was drinking water by the island platform when he heard the sound. He glanced at her and said calmly, "I sent her back."
?
"So what are we having for lunch?" Xie Qingci didn't understand what he was doing. He called people over in the morning, and now he's telling them to leave.
He then went to check the refrigerator to see what food was in stock.
He stood by the island platform looking at her, his expression pure and calm. "I'm going back to work tomorrow. Don't you want to spend a little more time with me?"
When he said "stay a little longer," he meant spending time alone.
We have to attend a banquet tonight, which will be a lot of people. Ms. Zhuang and Lin Lexin are both going. It's uncertain whether we can bring her back here tonight.
Xie Qingci paused for a moment, then exclaimed, "Ah..." She had forgotten that Hong Kong Island only had New Year's Day as a public holiday.
He replied, "Okay."
There's still plenty of food in the fridge; enough for lunch.
Having just eaten breakfast, Xie Qingci wouldn't be hungry for a while, so she went to her room to get the books she had brought with her.
The end of the New Year holiday marks the start of the final month of the semester. In addition, she plans to pursue a master's degree in Hong Kong after completing her undergraduate studies. The application requirements for universities include IELTS and TOEFL scores, which she has not yet taken.
Liang Jingzhuo was working on the sofa, while she sat down on the carpet next to the table in front of the sofa to review her lessons.
During a break from his work, Liang Jingzhuo glanced up and his gaze swept over the IELTS test materials on the table.
I asked her, "Didn't you find any of the schools and teachers you liked among the ones I recommended?"
Upon hearing this, Xie Qingci looked up, took off one of her earphones, and replied, "No, I just think I can take the exam myself."
Although it would be much more convenient to leave everything to him, and she wouldn't even need to do such tedious preparations herself, she still wanted to test her abilities.
"Besides, it wasn't that difficult." She smiled, looking very confident.
Looking at the smile on her lips, Liang Jingzhuo also smiled and replied, "Mm."
His attention returned to his work. After finishing his tasks for the day, he glanced at the time and realized it was well past lunchtime. He closed his laptop and was about to ask Xie Qingci what she wanted for lunch.
I looked up and saw someone already asleep on the table.
I just said I was going to study hard.
He got up and walked over, glanced at the pages of the book she was pressing against her face, and then looked back at her face.
Her sleeping face was peaceful. He reached out and brushed the stray hairs from her forehead. He didn't want to disturb her, but he felt that this was not the right time.
So I reached out and scratched the tip of her nose. Her brow furrowed in her sleep, and she raised her hand to cover her nose, but still showed no sign of waking up.
He chuckled, took her hand in his, and lowered his head to kiss her.
Forehead, brow, tip of nose, mouth, cheeks.
Xie Qingci was so tired that after finishing a class period of review, she stretched and glanced at the person sitting on the sofa who was focused on working. She decided to take a nap.
She had just fallen asleep when she felt a few taps on her face. In her drowsy state, she thought it was Xiao Ju scratching her face.
She dodged for a moment, then said, "Little Orange, go play with Aunt Wen for a while..."
After saying that, the tapping on his face stopped, and a deep, slow voice reached his ears, "Where did this little orange come from?"
She paused for a moment, then suddenly opened her eyes. Before her eyes was a face that had suddenly magnified—the face of the person who had been sitting on the sofa just before she went to sleep.
His handsome eyebrows were slightly raised, with a teasing look.
She woke up abruptly, looked up, her mind went blank for a moment before she came back to reality. She glanced at the time and realized she had only slept for half an hour; it was already lunchtime.
I rubbed my arm, which was a little numb from being pressed, and asked him, "Are you hungry?"
Liang Jingzhuo glanced at the red marks on her cheeks from the pages of the book and replied, "No, are you hungry? Let's go out to eat."
Eating breakfast late doesn't necessarily mean you'll be hungry, but it disrupts your eating habits, potentially leading to several meals a day being eaten at irregular times.
Xie Qingci shook her head. "Not yet, but it's late, let's eat something."
After saying that, she prepared to get up from the table. "What would you like to eat? Let me see if I can cook."
If you don't know how to do it, you'll have to seek help from outside the venue and ask Aunt Wen how to do it.
I sat in a low position for too long, and my legs went numb. When I stood up, they felt weak and I almost fell.
Liang Jingzhuo caught her in time, then pulled her onto his lap, massaged her legs, and, displeased with her clumsiness, whispered, "Get up slowly."
Suddenly shifting from the soft cushion to the more powerful and warm legs, Xie Qingci paused instinctively for a moment, then responded with a soft "Mmm..."
However, the tingling numbness in her feet made it difficult for her to stand up for a moment.
She looked at the person in front of her who was massaging her legs with his eyes downcast, her gaze drifting away for a moment before returning.
Liang Jingzhuo looked up and asked her, "Are you feeling better?"
As her blood flowed again, the discomfort quickly subsided, and she nodded, "Much better."
Just as she was about to say something, she went to check the food in the refrigerator, when the person watching her suddenly moved closer and kissed her.
His usual gentle and light touch, while still stirring endless excitement, reveals from the way he kisses that it really is just a kiss.
Xie Qingci closed her eyes, placed her hand on his shoulder, and sat on his lap to return his kiss.
During a brief moment of head tilting and sucking, their noses touched, and Liang Jingzhuo opened his eyes, stopping the kiss.
He looked at her trembling eyelashes, gently pecked her lips twice, and said in a slightly husky voice, "Let's go out to eat."
Xie Qingci turned her face away, lowered her eyes slightly, and responded with a soft "Mm".
