Seeing that Theresa had turned her face away and looked sullen, Rudy smiled and raised his hand to touch her soft hair.
"Okay, don't be angry."
"If anyone should be angry, it should be me. Why did you hide something so important from me?"
"And what's the deal with Diluc?"
Theresa pouted and slapped away his hand that was touching her head; she didn't enjoy it at all!
Hmph!
"He's just an annoying guy."
"Diluc is the spear-wielding hero among the seven heroes."
"Of course, his divine weapon is not a holy spear like yours, but a long spear, a type of cold weapon."
“When I was instructing him in magic, this guy started pursuing me.”
"After defeating the Demon King, he even proposed to me."
"Of course I couldn't agree. After all, he's not my type at all."
"Hmph, he actually chased after me, you pervert! I hate lolicon the most!"
"Uh..." Rudy was speechless when he heard this.
"Hey Theresa, don't you think it's because you're just too charming? It has nothing to do with whether you're a lolicon or not, right?"
Upon hearing this, Theresa glared at him fiercely and cursed:
"You're no better, you pervert, you lolicon!"
Rudy burst out laughing and gave her a big kiss on the cheek.
Say whatever you want.
"Anyway, the contract has already been signed, and I was the one who was passive. Also, I'm not a lolicon!"
"Aren't you?"
Theresa looked at him with disdain.
"Of course not!"
Rudy, with a solemn expression, continued:
"I just happen to like someone like you, Theresa. If you insist on calling me a lolicon, I won't object, as long as it's you..."
Theresa's cheeks burned.
"You're so glib, you're no good!"
"I never said I was a good person. You can call me a bad guy, baby, I'll take it."
"Shameless! Aren't you ashamed? Who...who is your darling?"
Theresa was extremely embarrassed.
He can actually say such cheesy things; he's so shameless!
Rudy smiled and looked at her tenderly.
"You."
"Who else could it be?"
"I cherish Theresa very much, so only I can bully you in this lifetime."
"..."
"So your precious child is just meant to be bullied?"
Theresa rolled her eyes, but her heart couldn't stop pounding.
At that moment, the image of Rudy standing firmly in front of the goddess in the face of her oppressive aura resurfaced in her mind.
Being his darling, it seems... not so bad?
"Alright, Theresa, continue with what you have to say about the paladins."
"What's the rush? I'll tell you."
She glared at him, then, after organizing her thoughts, she began to speak:
"Actually, I didn't want church people to come to the academy either, but... that guy threatened me!"
"What?"
Rudy's expression turned serious. "How did he threaten you?"
A hint of anger flashed in Theresa's eyes, and she said unhappily:
“That guy Diluc said that because I didn’t agree to let his students enroll, he was going to distribute my portrait all over the world and have the church spread the word that he was going to pursue me.”
"What could I do but agree to his request?"
"Uh...that's quite a terrible threat."
Rudy was speechless.
Lilith's idea was to use Theresa as a machine to attract the Demon King and find him.
However, Theresa herself did not want to attract the Demon King's attention.
If her portrait were to be publicized all over the world, it would definitely cause a lot of trouble.
"Anything else? Theresa, you still haven't told me why those three people teamed up with me. Was it your doing that I got a bye this time? I saw it clearly; a petal fell into the lottery box during the draw."
Theresa didn't hide anything from this and nodded slightly.
"Yes, I did it."
"I had no choice but to put you in a team with them."
“That guy Diluc seems to have discovered that I've already signed a contract with someone, so his disciple is probably here to investigate this matter.”
"I assigned you to that squad so that you could observe them closely and see if there's anything wrong with them. The church... to be honest, I have a feeling something's off about it, including that Diluc, he gives me a strange feeling too."
Rudy nodded in satisfaction upon hearing Theresa's explanation.
"An investigation is no problem, but what benefits are you going to give me?"
"Huh? You...you want more benefits?"
Theresa stared at him, her eyes wide with disbelief.
"Otherwise what?"
Rudy shrugged and said matter-of-factly:
"Investigating other people's troublesome matters is exhausting; I need motivation."
Theresa trembled slightly and looked at him cautiously.
"What...what kind of motivation do you want?"
Rudy grinned and lifted her delicate chin.
"It's very simple."
"Theresia, come to my room tonight."
"Ugh! You...you can forget about it!"
Theresa's cheeks were already flushed red. She glared at him defiantly, trying to make him back down.
Rudy met her gaze firmly, showing no intention of backing down.
"Do you think it's right to expect a horse to run without feeding it?"
