After being coaxed by Wu Er, the little demon naturally told him.
They talked about a lot of things, mostly about the story of this new demon saint in the Eastern Wilderness, and how powerful and good he was.
But to be honest, this new demon saint is indeed very powerful.
According to the little demon, since the arrival of the new demon saint, he has unified most of the Eastern Wilderness, which was originally divided among many demon kings.
Moreover, various reforms were implemented.
They were thinking about banning cannibalism, educating the demons, territorial reform, and class reform.
Although many things were copied from the human system, for the demon race, these were all historic breakthroughs.
Even though the reforms have not been implemented for a long time, they have achieved considerable results.
This is why the demons we encountered today are behaving so strangely.
Having spared the lesser demons who had never eaten humans, Wu Er returned to the human stronghold in the Eastern Wilderness.
The human race has a considerable foundation in the Eastern Wilderness, having at least established a fairly large city for cultivators.
After finishing his work and having worked for so long, Wu Erzhen naturally needed to rest in the city and hand over the task he had been given.
As I flew along, accompanied by the clouds on the horizon, my mind naturally wandered the whole way.
What kind of changes will the actions of this Eastern Wilderness Demon Saint bring to the entire cultivation world?
There will probably be big changes. After being educated, the demon race will probably be able to get along better with the human race.
It's always good for the two races to have a peaceful and prosperous era without war.
Of course, this is only Wu Er's personal wish, and who can say for sure what will happen in the future?
At noon, they arrived at the cultivator city in the Eastern Wilderness.
After paying some entry tax, Wu Er entered the cultivator city in the Eastern Wilderness.
This cultivator city in the Eastern Wilderness is not as large as those in the Central Plains, but it has an unusually large population; the streets and alleys are almost entirely filled with cultivators.
It's likely that a large portion of them were sect cultivators who were dispatched, while another portion were independent cultivators like Wu Er who had accepted missions.
After arriving at the Hunyuan Sect's branch, Wu Er completed his mission and received spirit stones in return.
I don't know how tense the situation is in the Eastern Wilderness, but even a simple reconnaissance mission has a lot of rewards, much more than the rewards of other ordinary missions.
"They've really gone all out; they've increased the rewards for missions in the Eastern Wilderness just to attract people."
After glancing at the bulletin board where tasks were posted, Wu Er came to this conclusion.
Seeing that the situation in the Eastern Wilderness is becoming increasingly complicated, I won't be able to stay for long. A war might break out at any moment. If I get involved in this war, even a Nascent Soul cultivator might just be high-level cannon fodder.
So Wu Er planned to make money and run away, thinking he would rest here for a day and then rent a cloud boat to leave tomorrow.
With that in mind, Wu Er decided to find a cheap and good inn to stay in.
But as soon as they left the Hunyuan Sect branch, they sensed that something was wrong with the atmosphere outside.
There were fewer people on the street, and the surrounding spiritual energy solidified.
Putting all that aside, there were actually cultivators flying in the sky!
It should be noted that flying is generally prohibited in cultivator cities.
If someone were to take to the sky, there were only two possibilities: either they were a fugitive, or there was an emergency in the city that forced them to fly.
Seeing so many people flying in the sky, it doesn't seem to be the first possibility.
So, something must have happened in the city!
Wu Er knew beforehand that this place was bound to cause trouble sooner or later, and wanted to leave as soon as possible to avoid trouble.
Now look what's happened; the person hasn't even left yet, and this trouble has already come knocking.
"It was just bad luck. I was hoping to earn some extra money, but I ran into trouble."
Wu Er chuckled to himself, then hurried toward the edge of the city.
Since something's happened, let's go see what's going on. If things aren't looking good and the transvestites start fighting, then we should just run away.
Upon arriving near the city wall, they saw many cultivators.
The city walls were filled with cultivators from various sects, one on top of another, and they all took out their magical treasures, seemingly ready for battle.
Upon seeing this scene, Wu Er thought to himself: such a high level of preparedness must mean something serious.
Driven by curiosity, or perhaps simply by a love of excitement.
Wu Er also rose into the air and looked out of the city.
But upon looking at it, he was reminded of a line of poetry from Earth.
That is: Dark clouds loom over the city, threatening to crush it.
A dark cloud appeared outside the city, completely filling one side of the sky.
The black mist churned endlessly, like a boiling cauldron of water, making one's heart and lungs boil.
"This demonic aura... how many demons are there?"
The dark clouds filling the sky made Wu Er feel uneasy. Even though he had been running around everywhere, he had never seen such a dense demonic aura.
The dense demonic aura seemed to form the shape of a gigantic, ancient beast.
And this beast is simply... going to swallow the whole city whole.
He reached up and touched his chest, suppressing his fear, and then began to think about how to leave this dangerous place.
He was not a member of the three major sects, nor had he received much favor from them, so he had no obligation to risk his life for the three immortals here.
Thinking of this, Wu Er retreated, intending to go around to another city gate.
But after going around to another city gate, they found that there was also a large area of demonic clouds outside.
Helpless, Wu Er had no choice but to visit all four city gates, only to find that all four gates were surrounded by swirling demonic clouds.
It looks like the city is under siege, and getting out seems unlikely.
If they were to escape, they would likely be reduced to ashes by countless demon experts.
"Bad luck, bad luck, so bad luck!"
Wu Er cursed several times, feeling a real headache coming on.
