The Grand Master of the Hunyuan Sect is one of the Three Immortals of the Human Race.
He was dressed in a flowing robe that seemed to float like an immortal, with a gold-trimmed belt that exuded a low-key yet grand air. His handsome young face was simply stunning.
What's most eye-catching isn't the immortal's appearance, but the gourd hanging from his waist.
That was a sacred object called the Hunyuan Gourd. Legend has it that it could contain the entire world. If one possessed this treasure, moving mountains and rivers would be a piece of cake.
The immortals arrived with sacred artifacts, seemingly prepared for battle.
"They've arrived. What do you want to talk about? Speak quickly!"
This immortal from the Hunyuan Sect was very impatient, as could be heard from his words.
At the same time, this also makes him seem very unrefined, giving the impression of a hot-tempered person, completely lacking the solemnity of an immortal.
Indeed, immortals, demons, and saints all have different personalities and cannot be generalized.
Fortunately, the demon saint Kunwu remained dignified. Even when someone spoke to him in such a manner, he showed no displeasure and maintained the demeanor befitting a demon saint.
"Now that everyone's here, let's begin our discussion."
The Demon Saint Kunwu gestured, inviting the Hunyuan Sect immortal to come aboard the cloud boat for a talk.
But the immortal from the Hunyuan Sect was unmoved. He waved his sleeve and said impatiently, "If you have something to say, say it directly and let everyone witness it. Don't spout nonsense!"
This attitude is very puzzling.
As fellow demon saints and immortals, they should at least show some respect. To refuse them now would be very inappropriate.
It's unclear whether this behavior stems from the personality of this Hunyuan Sect immortal or represents the attitude of other immortals.
Even so, the Demon Saint Kunwu remained calm and composed, maintaining the air of a superior, and said in a slow and gentle voice, "That's fine too, it's the same everywhere."
Although he spoke in a slow voice, everyone present could hear him clearly because of the magical power he possessed.
It seems this meeting will be held under the watchful eyes of both the demons and the crowd.
The Kunwu Demon Saint stood upright in the air, but because he was wearing a mask, it was impossible to tell what expression he had on his face.
But one thing is certain: Kunwu remained very calm.
“In that case, let’s begin our discussion. The matter I want to discuss is of great importance, concerning the well-being of both races.”
The immortal of the Hunyuan Sect nodded and urged, "Don't say anything meaningless, speak quickly."
I could tolerate this offense, but I couldn't bear the repeated offenses.
Then Kunwu Demon Saint raised his wide sleeves, exuding an aura of emperor, and said in a deep voice, "Fellow immortals and demon saints, what is the meaning of your repeated disrespectful words?"
This questioning was tinged with anger.
They should be angry too. They were being polite, wanting to find a place to sit down and discuss things, but now they're acting like this, as if they don't respect people at all.
Perhaps, this immortal of the Hunyuan Sect never intended to talk in the first place.
"Hmph, you still care about saving face? I'm not giving you any face!"
Upon hearing this question, the immortal from the Hunyuan Sect not only failed to be more polite, but his tone became even more disrespectful.
Well, it seems he never intended to have a conversation in the first place.
Such a disrespectful attitude enraged the demons nearby, who gritted their teeth and claws, wishing they could kill this Hunyuan Sect immortal.
The human race was puzzled by their immortal's attitude, but dared not say anything.
After observing for a while, Wu Er said, "The talks broke down before they even started..."
That's indeed the case; the demon race is furious.
Meanwhile, the human race was stirred up by the atmosphere created by the Hunyuan Sect disciples, who shouted, "Follow the Great Venerable to slay demons!"
This has stirred up the atmosphere on both sides, and it's possible that a single spark could ignite a major battle.
Just as Wu Er said, the conversation broke down from the very beginning.
The attitude of the Hunyuan Sect immortals was very clear: they didn't want to talk, they didn't want to talk about anything, and if people were not convinced, then they would fight.
It has to be said that this has a rather scoundrel-like style.
Now that the Kunwu Demon Saint and this Hunyuan Sect immortal are very close, it would be easy for them to attack each other.
Now that the immortal has made his stance clear, the demon saint is left with only two choices: fight or retreat.
It's clear that when the Kunwu Demon Saint arrived, he said he wasn't there to kill.
So this great battle won't happen, and they will probably choose to withdraw with the demon army.
"Since you have no interest today, let's talk about it another day."
Leaving these words behind, the demon saint flew back to the cloud boat.
Along with a group of demon soldiers, they also flew back to the cloud boat, seemingly preparing to retreat.
Such a grand entrance, and now they're just leaving like this, it's certainly a bit embarrassing.
Wu Er was slightly puzzled.
Logically speaking, both demon saints and immortals are powerful figures in their own right.
As powerful figures who control their own regions, they all care about their reputation. At least according to the stories Wu Er heard, the Demon Saint Immortal could not lose face every time he appeared.
Even if the Kunwu Demon Saint didn't want to clash with the immortals of the Hunyuan Sect, there was no need for him to go to such lengths.
The demon saint and the immortal each made a move, striking a few blows on each other's forces, just to show off their power and prestige. That would be much more respectable than slinking away in disgrace.
"This is truly a strange demon saint."
Wu Er commented in this way.
After the Demon Saint boarded the cloud boat, the cloud boat, along with the surrounding demon race, began to retreat.
The demons retreated quickly and with great discipline, without causing any chaos.
This shows that the Kunwu Demon Saint is no ordinary person.
At first glance, there must be hundreds of thousands of demons, yet they have been unified and made so obedient.
After the dark clouds in the sky had all receded, the surrounding air was no longer so oppressive.
