After listening, Wu Er nodded, then turned to the demon race and asked, "Do you have anything to say?"
Perhaps because he was a human immortal, the snow wolf demon who spoke up was very reserved.
There's no way around it; humans and demons have been at odds for too long. When a demon sees a human immortal, he's bound to be intimidated, fearing that if he doesn't say a word, he might bring about the destruction of his entire group.
But the snow wolf demon shook its teeth, then suppressed its fear and said, "Immortal, we have indeed been poisoned by these humans. Several of the lesser demons in my clan have fallen ill and are suffering terribly. I must stand up for them!"
Wu Er pondered these words carefully.
It turns out this isn't a lie.
Neither side was lying, but they said completely opposite things.
Clearly, there is some misunderstanding or other reason behind this.
Since it's a misunderstanding, this fight seems pointless.
Wu Er decided to stop the fight peacefully.
“It’s all the truth, everything you’ve said is the truth.”
Upon hearing this, the humans and demons present were first taken aback, then revealed a hint of ferocity, looking at each other with hostility, clearly not believing that the other was telling the truth.
If Wu Er hadn't spoken earlier and revealed his identity, a fight would probably have broken out again.
"Please calm down," Wu Er said again. "I am here and will certainly be impartial."
He said something reassuring, calming both groups down and preventing them from becoming agitated.
"Immortal, if everything is true, then our struggle is utterly meaningless!"
"Meaningless, despicable humans, you are the ones who are lying!"
Well, the words of reassurance I just said were useless; they only made them start arguing again.
Wu Er closed his eyes slightly, deciding to investigate this strange matter.
