The two playfully wrestled and laughed.
Although the artistic atmosphere of handsome men and talented women wandering alone in the mountains was gone, the closeness of neighbors and friends was gained.
After playing around for a while, Wu Er saw Kun Wu's happy face and said with relief, "I went out to run some errands these days. When I came back, I heard from my junior brother that you were heartbroken and went to Xiaoyuan Peak to sit quietly."
Kunwu replied, "I also went out to run some errands a few days ago, and because things didn't go well, I'm still feeling resentful."
That's how it is; things don't go smoothly, so naturally it's very unpleasant.
Wu Er understood this perfectly; hadn't he been doing the same thing these past few days?
I worked for a major sect for free and almost got trapped in the city, becoming free labor.
If it weren't for someone's forgiving nature, like the Qijiang River, who only cursed a few times and then let it go, they probably would have found a place to squat down and become withdrawn.
Thus, Wu Er could understand Kun Wu very well.
Although both of them were quite old, Kunwu was a girl, so how could she be as strong as a man in terms of mental fortitude?
Wu Er thought so, but little did he know what Kun Wu was carrying on his shoulders.
"How about we talk about what's troubling us, like we always do?"
Wu Er took the initiative to suggest it.
He's not exactly good at reading between the lines, which is why he suggested using such a straightforward approach.
After listening, Kunwu replied, "Forget it, that's too blunt. How about I tell you a little story instead?"
What will the story be?
Wu Er thought about it for a moment, but he was too embarrassed to refuse, so he nodded and agreed.
After Wu Er nodded, Kun Wu began to tell his story.
"Once upon a time, there was a family that lived on the east side of the city. They were a very wealthy family, and the entire east side of the city belonged to them. Since they were a wealthy family, the master of the house naturally had three wives and four concubines, including a woman from a very far away tribe."
Kunwu looked up and told a story.
Wu Er took a deep breath and listened attentively to the story.
"Then the master of this house also had five children, four boys and one girl. The daughter was the youngest, and because the daughter was considered lowly, she was not even given a name and was simply called Xiao Wu. The preference for boys over girls was so severe that the youngest girl's status was even lower than that of a servant."
Upon hearing this, even if Wu Er was stupid, he could still understand something.
Kunwu paused for a moment, then continued, "After that, the head of the family died. Why he died, whether it was because he was old, because he was sick, or because he was murdered, is unclear. In short, he died. And with the head of the family dead, such a big family fell into chaos."
"The four sons were so eager to divide the inheritance that they threw the entire eastern part of the city into chaos. Not only did they fail to protect the property and let others benefit from it, but they also lost their lives. There was only one youngest daughter, who ran away because she was not well-liked and hid in a corner."
"Years later, the youngest daughter grew up and went to find some of her father's old friends, intending to seize the family property. Unfortunately, those friends were also sexist and preferred boys to girls. Helpless, the grown-up girl had to disguise herself as a man in order to gain their support."
"Later, after much trouble, the little girl, using a man's identity, finally managed to reclaim the family's assets. However, after the assets were recovered, several other wealthy families in the city became greedy, and so..."
Kunwu stopped the story here.
When Wu Er, who was deep in thought, saw that the sound had stopped, he asked, "What's next?"
Kun Wu smiled wryly and said, "I haven't thought about what to do next yet. I'll tell you when I do."
After saying this, Kun Wu stood up and said to Tian Dao, "Now that we've rested, it's time to get down to business."
Wu Er also stood up and said, "Yes, it's about time..."
After hearing what had just happened, he roughly understood something.
Although Wu Er had many speculations about Kun Wu's identity before, this story has now completely confirmed it.
Thus, he also knew what troubled his friend the most.
"By the way, could you wait here for me? I have something to give you."
Wu Er said to Kun Wu.
Kun Wu nodded, then asked, "What is it?"
Upon hearing this question, Wu Er did not answer directly. Instead, he got up and flew into the sky, leaving his voice behind.
"Something that can make you feel better."
Kunwu was somewhat stunned upon hearing these words.
Wu Er left quickly and returned quickly, flying away for less than a quarter of an hour before returning to Xiaoyuan Peak.
Kunwu stood on Xiaoyuan Peak, quietly waiting for Wu Er to return.
"Look, this is what I gave you."
Wu Er landed next to Kun Wu and then took out a small porcelain bottle.
Kun Wu didn't take the porcelain bottle immediately, but asked with concern, "What's wrong? Why do you look a little...pale?"
"Really?" Wu Er chuckled sheepishly.
Kunwu frowned slightly.
If you look closely, you can see that Wu Er's face is very pale, at least much paler than before, and he looks like he has lost too much blood.
"Are you really alright?" Kunwu asked again.
"It's nothing, I just rushed back and forth and got a bit of a stitch in my side." Wu Er held up the porcelain bottle in his hand. "Let's look at this first."
Kunwu shifted his gaze slightly and looked at the porcelain bottle.
"What's this?"
Wu Er immediately replied, "It's medicine, a very effective medicine! This porcelain bottle is a treasure; it contains a lot of medicine, enough to last a long time."
After saying that, Wu Er stuffed the porcelain bottle into Kun Wu's hand.
After finishing this task, Wu Er swayed slightly, then immediately said, "I'm a little tired, I'll go back and rest first. Remember to keep this medicine safe, it can cure illnesses, even serious ones!"
