Chapter 84 What a coincidence!

A cool breeze blew by, causing the branches and leaves in the forest to rub against each other and make a rustling sound.

Wu Er, who had rushed into the forest, broke out in a cold sweat, and all the initial drive in his mind vanished.

He injured the monster in the courtyard, which gave him some confidence. Without thinking too much, he instinctively decided to eliminate it completely and chased it a long way.

Looking back now, I realize that I might not be able to defeat this monster.

"Sasha~"

The monster was perched on the tree, causing the leaves to rub against each other incessantly.

Its red eyes were fixed on Wu Er, and its claws gleamed coldly.

"I was so stupid! I was so impulsive! How did I end up running into the woods!"

Wu Er bitterly blamed himself, while secretly sighing at his current predicament.

This monster is not only not stupid, it's also very cunning!

Knowing it was injured and might not be able to defeat Wu Er in the open, it ran into the forest, hoping to use the terrain to kill Wu Er.

"roar!!!"

The monster roared and then pounced down from the tree.

It stretched out its claws and revealed its sharp teeth in mid-air, targeting Wu Er's chest and neck respectively.

Wu Er reacted quickly, jerking his body backward and leaping a great distance.

He then threw the hoe in his hand, aiming it straight at the monster's head.

In the blink of an eye, the monster was hit, and Wu Er narrowly dodged the claws and fangs that came at him.

Having managed to save one life, Wu Er couldn't help but breathe a heavy sigh of relief before turning around and running away at lightning speed.

He ran in the opposite direction from where he came from. Wu Er thought he should lure the monster away from the small temple so that his fellow disciples would be safer.

The monster was first ambushed and injured, then hit by a hoe, and was knocked unconscious for a short while.

By the time it got up and chased after Wu Er, there was already quite a distance between them.

However, that monster was incredibly fast; ordinary people simply couldn't outrun it.

After chasing each other for a short while, Wu Er took a moment to look back while running and saw that the monster was about to catch up with him.

If we keep running, we'll be caught up. We need to think of a solution quickly.

Although Wu Er tried very hard to come up with a solution, it proved to be very difficult to do so in this situation.

"Smack!"

As soon as the monster got close to Wu Er, it pounced and its body slammed into Wu Er's back.

Wu Er was also hit hard, and the huge impact caused him to lose his balance.

First, its body tilted, then it fell to the ground, and then it rolled around on the dusty ground.

After Wu Er stopped, he immediately looked around and saw that the monster was very close to him. He could clearly see the monster's red eyes and sharp claws.

It’s over…

After those two words flashed through Wu Er's mind, it went completely blank.

"Woof woof!"

Just then, a howl came from behind Wu Er and the monster.

The sound made three more words flash through Wu Er's mind—foxtail grass!

That's right, the howl came from the foxtail grass, and only it could make that half-wolf, half-dog sound.

The monster paused upon hearing the foxtail grass's howl, then slowly turned around to face it.

"roar!!!"

The monster roared at the foxtail grass.

"Woof woof!"

Faced with this monster, the foxtail grass was not afraid and howled twice more.

The monster was very angry at the foxtail grass's howling and stretched out a claw to slap it.

"Awoo!"

The foxtail grass was hit, its body was sent flying, and after letting out a mournful cry, it disappeared without a trace.

After swatting away the foxtail grass, the monster turned to face Wu Er.

Wu Er, who was lying on the ground, also recovered and forced himself to stand up, even taking out the sharp stone he was carrying.

"Go to hell!"

Wu Er threw the stone at the monster again, but unfortunately, he missed.

Not only did it fail to hit him, the monster also slapped Wu Er with its backhand.

Suddenly, a powerful force struck, and Wu Er was sent flying far away like a blade of grass.

"Bang!"

Wu Er landed on the ground, kicking up a fistful of dust. At the same time, he felt a churning sensation in his stomach, followed by a metallic taste in his mouth.

"Pfft~"

Wu Er spat out a mouthful of blood.

After swatting Wu Er away, the monster had no intention of letting him go. It strode towards Wu Er, wanting to deliver the final blow and kill the man who had hurt it.

"You little devil! I thought you'd learn your lesson after you got away last time, but I never expected you to be harming people again!"

A clear, crisp female voice drifted through the woods.

This surprised both Wu Er and the monster.

As night fell and moonlight streamed into the woods, a figure emerged from the shadows in the distance.

This woman is the beautiful girl who saved Wu Er!

As soon as the woman appeared, the monster's body began to tremble slightly and it let out a few low growls.

"I'll teach you a lesson today!"

The beautiful woman leaped up and landed in front of the monster, her palm flashing with light, followed by a bolt of divine lightning appearing in the air.

"Boom!"

The lightning bolt, as thick as a finger, illuminated the surroundings before striking the monster.

Immediately, a burnt smell filled the air.

After the monster was in pain, it began to twist its body wildly, and its claws slashed wildly around, causing damage to many trees.

The pretty woman was agile and dodged the monster's claws with a single step back.

After flailing its claws for a while, the monster gradually calmed down and began to attack the woman with composure.
