Chapter Fifteen features a female disciple, namely Taiping.

How could it possibly fly away on a cloud by itself?

You knocked someone into the mud, shocking their soul; they're still unconscious.

Can they just pack their bags and leave?

If it were any other cultivator, they probably would have left, but Wu Er couldn't.

After all, he was an excellent young man who had received nine years of compulsory education.

Although he was somewhat mischievous, he was not like other cultivators who were devoid of emotion.

So, Wu Er used a little magic to make Han Qingxiu, who was lying in the mud, float up.

He said, "Alright, let me find you a place to lie down."

After saying that, he waved his hand at the sky and grabbed a cloud from afar.

Then, riding on a cloud, he took Han Qingxiu and flew towards his secluded cultivation place—Xiaoyuan Peak.

Immortals soar through the sky, accompanied by clouds and mist. They arrive in the northern regions in the morning and reach the southern sea by evening.

Wu Er was also an immortal, so his speed in the air was naturally not slow. In the blink of an eye, he flew over several mountain peaks and arrived above an inconspicuous little mountain.

This unassuming mountain is called Xiaoyuan Peak.

Looking down, it is neither towering into the clouds nor steep and unique; it has almost no distinguishing features.

As for why an immortal would choose such an ordinary place to live in seclusion...

This is indeed a story with a unique twist.

Just like the name of this small hill, Xiaoyuan, it was all due to a small, serendipitous encounter.

As they slowly descended, Wu Er saw an old tree that was several hundred years old. Although the trunk was very tall, it was growing crookedly.

It might be related to the fact that people often hang themselves from this tree...

After flying over this tree, not far ahead, we arrived at the place where Wu Er lived in seclusion.

A simple little wooden house, with a small pond full of lotus flowers behind it.

Wu Er landed in front of the door, and Han Qingxiu floated beside him.

Looking at the couplets by the door, Wu Er couldn't help but smile.

He then said in a slow voice, "One can obtain lotus roots from lotus, and one need not plums if one has apricots."

The first line is "Origin of lotus is obtained from lotus".

The second line is "With apricots, there is no need for plums".

At first glance, it seems quite ordinary, but upon closer inspection, it carries a certain indescribable meaning.

Wu Er had thought about this couplet for a long time.

Because of the lotus, one obtains the lotus root; this is a homophone for "because of what, one obtains a spouse".

"With apricots, there's no need for plums," a homophone for "fortunate enough, there's no need for a matchmaker."

This couplet describes someone's determination to find a partner.

After reading it once, Wu Er looked away and said self-deprecatingly, "So lucky I don't need a matchmaker? I thought it was a good idea back then, but now I'm still single?"

After saying that, he pushed open the door of the small house.

But as soon as the door was pushed open, a slight fluctuation of spiritual energy emanated from the hinges.

"Um?"

Although it wasn't particularly noticeable, Wu Er still caught its eye.

"Someone has set up a perception array at my residence."

He glanced at it sideways, and the method of setting up the formation seemed somewhat familiar. After a moment's thought, Wu Er knew who had set it up.

He shrugged helplessly and casually erased the magic circle.

Then Wu Er entered the house, and Han Qingxiu, who was still unconscious, naturally floated into the house as well, and closed the door of the wooden house.

Then, after casting a spell to place Han Qingxiu on the only bed in the wooden house.

Wu Er walked to a chair in the wooden house, wanting to rest for a while.

But as soon as my bottom touched the chair, I heard a few loud "bangs" from outside.

Someone was knocking on the door, quite forcefully and urgently.

Wu Er breathed a sigh of relief. He didn't ask who was knocking on the door, but he knew who it was.

So I went over and opened the door.

"Senior brother, you're back! Where have you been these past few days? Didn't you say you wouldn't go out?"

Standing outside the door was a woman, petite and delicate, with Wu Er's reflection in her large eyes.

The person who arrived was none other than Wu Er's only junior sister, Wo Ningyan.

Wo Ningyan pouted, blinked her big eyes, and said with a hint of complaint, "Are you deliberately avoiding me?"

After saying that, she turned her head to the side, then gently stomped her foot, making an angry face, which looked quite cute.

This is a plea for comfort...

Faced with his adorable junior sister who was seeking comfort, Wu Er felt nothing, and even felt a little disgusted...

There was no way around it; he knew what kind of personality Wo Ningyan had.

Wu Er pretended not to hear what Wo Ningyan said, then shrank back into the house and closed the door behind him.

With a loud "smack," Wo Ningyan was startled.

"Bang bang bang"

"Senior brother, what are you doing? Open the door!"

Wu Er sat on a chair inside the room, reached out and knocked on the armrest of the chair, looking at the shaking door.

"Bang bang bang!"

"Senior brother, open the door quickly and let me in! Junior sister has missed you so much!"

Upon hearing this, Wu Er remained expressionless.

"Bang bang bang!"

"Senior brother, if you don't open the door, I'm going to force my way in, and I don't want to damage your house!"

Force your way in?

Wu Er gently shook his head. He said, "Let's first see if Wo Ningyan will force her way in. Even if she does, she'll probably be exhausted."

Don't be fooled by the fact that this house looks like a small wooden cabin.

actual!

It really is just a small wooden cabin...

But the wood in this little wooden house is no ordinary wood; it has been tempered countless times by Wu Er himself!

This is truly wood imbued with divine energy, its hardness comparable to a ninth-tier sacred artifact. It's not something you can just barge into.

Those whose cultivation level is below the Nascent Soul stage can't even get a sound when they knock on the door.

Its defensive capabilities are astonishing, and it can even withstand the divine sense of cultivators who are not at the Immortal Realm!

"Bang bang bang!"

There were a few more knocks on the door, then silence fell outside, and Wo Ningyan stopped talking.
