Why is beggar's chicken mentioned so importantly in Chapter Fourteen?

A gentle breeze blew through the secluded valley, carrying down a few fallen leaves from the mountain and splashing ripples in the small pool.

Han Qingxiu's sleeves fluttered gently, her eyes grew calmer, and her aura was completely different from before.

"The Gentle Breeze Sword Technique?"

Wu Er immediately recognized the origin of Han Qingxiu's sword intent; it was the Little Breeze Sword Technique, one of the basic sword techniques of the outer sect.

"Take this!"

Han Qingxiu gave a soft shout and then floated over.

The Gentle Breeze Sword Technique.

Just like its name suggests, the sword is like a gentle breeze, and the person is like a gentle breeze, describing a light and agile character.

It is the most skill-intensive sword technique among the sword techniques practiced by outer disciples.

Then Han Qingxiu bent down and flipped her wrist.

The sword spun around, just like a leaf falling in the mountains, neither hurried nor slow.

It may seem slow, but it is highly variable.

Wu Er naturally knew the wonders of this sword, and his eyes lit up. He also felt a little more admiration for Han Qingxiu.

After all, there aren't many disciples who focus on honing their skills.

Han Qingxiu slowly thrust forward, making it seem easy to dodge.

But if you dodge quickly, you'll be injured by their change of attack.

At this moment, Wu Er suppressed his cultivation to the Foundation Establishment stage, so it was not feasible for him to quickly dodge using his movement techniques.

However, even the most exquisite swordsmanship has its flaws.

If dodging quickly doesn't work, then why not just not dodge at all?

As the sword moves, wouldn't it be enough to simply move in unison with it?

Thus, Wu Er moved with the sword, retreating as far as the sword thrust out.

As soon as the sword thrust forward one foot, Wu Er would retreat one foot, never taking an extra step.

If the distance between the person and the sword remains constant, this change of move cannot be used.

If Han Qingxiu were to change the speed of her sword and actively attack Wu Er, then the sword's momentum would be broken.

Without the sword's momentum, the thrusting sword becomes much easier to dodge.

So now the two of them are in a situation where one doesn't actively avoid the situation, and the other doesn't actively provoke it.

And so, it turned into a test of endurance...

The sun moves from east to west, and it is now noon. The sunlight shines through the sparse leaves and directly onto the valley floor.

The dim light illuminated the gentle ripples in the small pond.

The small pond reflects the two figures moving forward and backward on the shore.

For quite some time, Han Qingxiu was still slowly thrusting forward, while Wu Er was still slowly retreating.

The two had been locked in a stalemate for quite some time, circling the small pool at the bottom of the valley several times.

Wu Er originally intended to test Han Qingxiu's stamina, but after wandering around for a while, he himself became impatient.

Looking at Han Qingxiu again, she maintained her sword stance, her face full of seriousness, without showing the slightest sign of boredom.

He was still taking slow, steady steps, gradually getting closer to Wu Er.

"Don't you find it boring?" Wu Er asked.

Han Qingxiu seemed not to hear her, and did not reply. She continued to hold her sword, immersed in her own sword intent.

Wu Er said again, "Hey, we've been locked in a stalemate for almost two hours, can't you come up with a different move?"

Han Qingxiu remained silent, but slowly approached, sword in hand.

Wu Er: "Don't you get tired of doing the same thing all the time?"

Han Qingxiu remained silent, holding her sword, and slowly advanced.

"How about we take a break before we continue?"

Han Qingxiu slowly moved forward X1.

"Really, maybe we shouldn't fight anymore."

Han Qingxiu slowly moved forward X2.

Hey, did you hear me?

Han Qingxiu slowly moved forward X3.

Are you out of your mind?

Han Qingxiu slowly moved forward X4.

"......"

Han Qingxiu slowly moved forward X5.

Wu Er, lol.

Just how focused is this child!

Wu Er roared inwardly, deciding to stop the stalemate. If this continued, even an immortal would go mad!

So Wu Er stopped pursuing perfect dodging and stopped retreating.

He stretched out his long neck, aimed at the sword's edge, and then charged into it.

Wu Er decided to use his neck to catch the sword!

As for why he used his neck to catch the sword?

Because Wu Er had done the same thing hundreds of years ago, he was very familiar with catching swords with his neck.

Then there was a clear, loud "clang," the echo of which lingered for a long time.

Judging from the sound, something broke.

Then, a flash of inspiration appeared, followed by a gust of wind that caused many more waves to surge on the nearby pool.

This Little Breeze Sword truly lives up to its name; it does indeed have quite a bit of wind.

However, apart from the wind, there was nothing else...

Wu Er stood steadily, touched his neck with his hand, and felt a little itchy.

"You're pretty good," Wu Er complimented Han Qingxiu.

If this move could tickle an immortal, it must be quite powerful.

However, Han Qingxiu was thrown far away by the recoil after swinging her sword, almost falling into the nearby pool and getting soaked.

Even if he didn't fall into the pool, he still ended up in the mud on the bank, covered in mud.

Yes, it turned into beggar's chicken.

"What...what...what happened?"

After plunging into the mud pit, Han Qingxiu was still in shock. She shuddered for a moment, rolled around in the mud several times, and then stood up.

He looked down at the mud covering his body.

He looked up again and saw Wu Er, who was completely unharmed.

He turned his head to look at his sword, which had broken in two.

Finally, I looked up at the sky and just stared blankly.

He looks completely bewildered.

But they should also be confused.

No matter who threw the sword, all that was heard was a loud bang and a gust of wind; everyone was stunned.

Looking at the dazed Han Qingxiu, and recalling how focused Han Qingxiu had been on using her sword earlier, Wu Er understood something.
