Chapter 12: Substitute
The resort project was under great urgency, and Xu Qingsui's department was shrouded in a tense and busy atmosphere, with almost everyone working hard to catch up with the progress.
As the assistant to the project manager and a newcomer, Xu Qingsui is extremely busy.

Feng Shao held a glass of wine and walked up to the two of them while cheering.
He had seen Xu Qingsui before, so he naturally knew her, but the others didn't, so they continued to make a fuss, "Who is this beautiful lady? Why don't you introduce her to us brothers!"

Huo Xilin didn't hide anything and directly put his arm around Xu Qingsui's waist and introduced her to everyone: "This is Mrs. Huo, you can call her sister-in-law from now on."

Even Xu Qingsui herself looked up in surprise. She didn't expect Huo Xilin to introduce her like this.

The person who was speaking was someone Xu Qingsui often saw on TV and in the news.
He is the international superstar Cui He, who debuted as a child star. Despite his young age, he has won a grand slam of various awards.
"I just got the job. I'd like to invite you guys to have a meal so you can get to know each other."
"Sister-in-law, please take care of me in the future."
Several people present stood up one after another and walked to Xu Qingsui and introduced themselves one by one.
Xu Qingsui was very nervous at first, but everyone got along so easily and she soon relaxed.
"It seems that I came at a bad time."
A pleasant female voice came from behind, breaking the harmonious atmosphere.
Xu Qingsui turned his head and was slightly stunned when he saw the woman's face clearly.
The bright and cheerful face in that photo gradually overlapped with the face in front of him.
Yan Xisui ignored everyone, walked past Xu Qingsui, and walked in front of Huo Xilin: "Brother Lin, long time no see."
Her smile was the same as always, and her words were intimate and natural.
Huo Xilin had a blank expression on his face. He looked at her deeply without revealing any emotion. He said calmly, "Why are you here?"

Without waiting for Huo Xilin to answer, Yan Xisui's eyes moved around and finally noticed Xu Qingsui standing next to him.
There was a hint of surprise in her eyes, and she asked, "Who is this?"
Huo Xilin ignored Yan Xisui, took Xu Qingsui's hand, walked to the sofa and sat down.
Feng Shao saw that something was wrong, so he quickly spoke up to ease the embarrassment: "You haven't eaten yet, waiter, take our order!"
In the dim light, Xu Qingsui couldn't see the expression of the person next to him, he just felt that the temperature around him was frighteningly low.
After the party, everyone became unusually silent, and there was no more talking and laughing as at the beginning.
Halfway through, Xu Qingsui went to the bathroom, and when he came out he heard someone talking in the corner.
"Brother Lin, did you marry her because she looks like me?"
It’s Yan Xisui.
Xu Qingsui knew that she was talking about herself. She and Yan Xisui did have some similarities in their eyes and eyebrows.
Only now did she know that Huo Xilin married her for this reason.
It's just a substitute.
"Brother Lin, you deliberately went to her just to piss me off, didn't you?" Yan Xisui's voice was a little tearful, "Brother Lin, I'm back and I won't leave anymore. Please don't be mad at me anymore, okay?"

She and Huo Xilin had only agreed to get married, which was essentially a partnership. She had no right to ask about his private affairs.
Soon, Huo Xilin and Yan Xisui came back one after another.
"Are you full?" Huo Xilin asked Xu Qingsui.

After Huo Xilin finished speaking, he said hello to everyone, took Xu Qingsui's hand and was about to leave.

After saying that, Huo Xilin directly pulled Xu Qingsui out of the private room.
In the car, Huo Xilin lit a cigarette.
This was the first time he smoked in front of her, and Xu Qingsui could feel that he seemed a little annoyed.
