I put down the log and hurried back to the deck. I saw Ning Xue leaning against the railing and fell asleep. I finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Was Ning Xue sleepwalking? Was some strange force driving her to the captain's cabin and writing that sentence? And most importantly, was that sentence true or false?
I was a little unsure, but I didn't know what to do, so I could only walk to her side and stare at her to prevent her from doing anything strange again. However, she seemed to be fast asleep, snoring softly, and before I knew it, her body tilted over and leaned on my shoulder.
I breathed a sigh of relief. Maybe I was overthinking it? I fell asleep in a daze.
The next morning, I heard Xiao Bingbing's voice in a daze. I opened my eyes and found her pacing anxiously on the deck. I asked her what was wrong, and Xiao Bingbing said anxiously, "My sister is missing!"
"Ah? Ning Xue is missing? Wasn't she right next to me..." I was stunned before I could even say "next to me", because there was nothing next to me at this moment!
I jumped up and asked, "Have you searched every cabin, bow and stern?"
Xiao Bingbing nodded and said, "Xiao Mo, Xuan Xuan and I have been looking for her together, but we can't find her!"
In the distance, Su Xiaoniu and Xuanxuan approached. Su Xiaoniu said solemnly, "There's blood on the stern. It should have been left two hours ago. Maybe... Ning Xue cut her wrists and jumped into the river."
"Impossible!" I couldn't believe it! How could Ning Xue slit her wrists and commit suicide? How could she possibly be someone who would commit suicide? Even if she died, she wouldn't do such a ridiculous thing. I know her too well!
"Brother Xu Fei, what my sister-in-law said is true. If you don't believe me, you can go and see for yourself." Xuanxuan also said so.
I quickly ran to the stern and, sure enough, near the railing, I saw a large, freshly left bloodstain. It was still wet and fresh. If I had a DNA tester, I could confirm that the blood was Ning Xue's, but...
Xiao Bingbing came up and pointed to the corner under the railing and said, "That's... my sister's special gun!"
I looked over and saw, indeed, a black pistol discarded in a corner. I recognized it; it was Ning Xue's, along with a matching silver pistol. Ning Xue had always been inseparable from these two pistols, but now, this black pistol was discarded here, and Ning Xue herself was nowhere to be seen...
"Ning Xue, tell me, you can't be that stupid..." I stared at the scene in disbelief, my eyes bloodshot and my head feeling like it was about to explode. Suddenly, a piercing pain shot through my neck. I screamed and fell to the ground, fainting.
After a while, I woke up and saw Su Xiaoniu's worried face. A tear fell on my face.
I woke up.
"What's wrong with me?" He scratched his scalp. Why did he suddenly fall asleep?
"Brother Xu Fei might have been overly stimulated, and the seal of the Lixue Yin Curse was almost broken. Fortunately, I treated him in time and applied three Tianyi Chongsha Yins on your neck, and the situation has improved." Xuanxuan's voice came from behind me.
I nodded. When I thought of Ning Xue, my head started to hurt, and my neck also hurt.
Ning Xue, it took me three years and so much effort to bring you back to the world from the underworld. You wouldn't commit suicide like this. Something must have happened!
"You seem very excited?" Su Xiaoniu looked at me indifferently.
I was stunned, unsure what Su Xiaoniu meant. But seeing her indifferent expression, I felt very uncomfortable. I immediately shook my head and said, "Ning Xue is our friend. She's missing, and we're all worried, aren't we?"
Su Xiaoniu didn't say anything. She stood up and walked to the edge of the boat railing. She leaned against the railing and looked at the Yellow River horizon in the distance. Facing the whistling wind, she was like a fairy of the Yellow River, standing in the distance.
I didn't know what to say, so I just sat on the ground and looked at her.
We didn't go fishing that day and were not in the mood to eat. We didn't go to bed until midnight.
When we woke up that morning, the cabin door was wide open. Gloria frantically announced that Don was missing. He was one of the two Exorcist Tower experts who had come aboard with her. We shouted until we were hoarse, but there was no response. We searched everywhere, searching everywhere, but there was no sign of him.
We were all shocked.
Ning Xue disappeared yesterday, and Don disappeared today. This...
I asked Guy, another man who was with Don, if he noticed any strange behavior of Don when he was sleeping last night?
Guy thought for a moment, then shook his head. "I slept so soundly last night that I didn't notice. But yesterday evening, I went to the captain's cabin with him, and he peeked at the log in the captain's cabin drawer. I didn't think it was interesting, so I didn't read it."
Another log!
Without saying anything, I ran towards the captain's cabin below the cabin. Su Xiaoniu and the others followed me without realizing it.
The logbook in the captain's room had always been kept in a drawer. I took the logbook with ease and opened it decisively. The words Ning Xue had written in blood were gone, replaced by another sentence written in blood.
The log reads: "I'm Don. It's just me, Oria, and Guy on this ship. Yesterday, a beautiful woman named Ning Xue disappeared. None of us knows where she went, leaving us all in a state of panic, unable to eat or sleep. That evening, I called Guy to the captain's cabin and looked through this log. Unexpectedly, I found Ning Xue's death log, written in blood. She predicted my own death, written the day before my death." — And next, you!
