Chapter 68: The Horrible Hospital

"Although I can see it, I don't know where the entrance is. Old Golden Hair, you're quite knowledgeable about this formation. Do you know where the entrance is?" I asked, frowning. Even with my discerning eyes, I couldn't tell which was the entrance. Imagine how mysterious this was.

King Xujin pointed to the three large poplar trees in front of the maternity hospital and said, "The three poplar trees at the main entrance of the maternity hospital are the Life Gate, one of the Eight Gates. Most patients who come to this maternity hospital will pass through the Life Gate first. In the Ghost Gate Bagua Dun, the Life Gate leads to the Death Gate. Once you enter the Death Gate, you will definitely die. In other words, the mortality rate of those who enter the Life Gate is very high."

I was stunned for a moment. Holy shit, King Xujin was right. The first time I came to this maternity hospital, I entered through the three large poplar trees outside, which is the life gate. But I don't know if I entered the death gate...

King Xujin then pointed to the lush flower beds on either side of the maternity ward and said, "The flower bed on the left is the Injury Gate, which leads to the Shock Gate. A single mistake can cause hemiplegia. While not fatal, it will be like being a walking corpse. The flower bed on the right is the Rest Gate, which leads to the Scenery Gate. This gate is the safest. The other gates should be at the back of the maternity ward and are not important. As for the ninth gate, the Ghost Gate, you will only see it after entering the eight gates. Now we must split up and break through the formation, entering from the Life, Injury, and Rest Gates. One of you must enter the Life Gate. Although it is the most dangerous, it is the key to breaking the formation. Who of you dares to enter the Life Gate?"

I exchanged glances with the madman in black, who suddenly raised his hand and said, "Your foundation in Taoism has just been solidified, so don't stress yourself out. I'll take care of the gate of life."

I nodded gratefully. Damn it, it was actually Su Xiaoniu who told me not to go to the Shengmen. Not only was I afraid, but Su Xiaoniu was too. According to Su Xiaoniu, the Shengmen was a place specifically for restraining ghosts. I have a female ghost named Su Xiaoniu inside me, and if I'm not careful, I might kill her inside. That would be a big loss.

Now that the Shengmen had chosen a candidate, King Xujin decisively pointed at the Shangmen and said, "The Shangmen will be yours. I will go to the Xiumen."

Damn, Xiumen is the safest, this golden-haired old man really knows how to choose! Although Shangmen is not as scary as Shengmen, one can still end up with a terrible end of hemiplegia if not careful, this damn old man!

Next, King Xujin explained how to open the Eight Gates, saying, "Skinny boy, listen carefully. Before entering the Sheng Gate, form the Tianren Seal with both hands, using the Jia Wu Ji seal." He then said to me, "Stinky boy, listen carefully too. When entering the Shang Gate, form the Tianchong Seal with the Jia Yin Gui seal."

He also demonstrated the Tianchongyin method to me. I memorized it after learning it twice.

"Whether you break the formation or not, you must get out before 11 o'clock at night, otherwise you will be trapped inside and will never get out, understand?" After King Xujin said this, he took the lead and walked towards Xiumen.

The madman in black glanced at me, said nothing, and walked directly towards the three large poplar trees. That was the exit.

I watched them walk to the entrance point, and they both formed seals with their hands at the same time. In front of them, a deep, crystal blue door like a slit suddenly appeared. Then, they stepped in without hesitation.

After they went in, I walked carefully to the entrance of the eye gate, recalling the Tianchong seal method that the golden-haired old man taught me before, and made seals with my hands. After a while, an eye gate exactly the same as theirs appeared in front of me. After hesitating for a moment, I tried to walk in.

There was a flash of light in front of my eyes, as if countless elves were lingering around me.

I suddenly opened my eyes. It was still a dim night and the location was still the hospital entrance. The only difference was that even without using my wisdom eye, I could clearly see the entire abandoned large hospital, with a dilapidated, desolate and terrifying atmosphere.

However, I couldn't find King Xujin and the black-clad madman. Perhaps they entered from the other side, which is why I couldn't see them. Thinking this, I slowly walked into the hospital. Ahead was the guardhouse, with a rusty automatic door, a large section of which lay broken on the ground.

I wanted to step over the rusty iron gate, but just as I reached the security room, a half-dead doctor approached me. He was wearing a uniform and glasses, tall and pale. He had only one right hand, which held his bloody left arm. He groaned in pain as he approached me.

Damn, it was terrifying! This creature, neither human nor ghost, looked like the walking dead from a sci-fi movie. I was so frightened that I stepped back and asked Su Xiaoniu, "Is this a human or a ghost?"

Su Xiaoniu's answer was straightforward: "It's neither a human nor a ghost. Just as you think, it's the living dead, or in a more vulgar way, a zombie."

I swallowed my saliva. It was neither a human nor a ghost, but a zombie. I definitely couldn't deal with it the same way I would deal with a ghost.

Su Xiaoniu continued, "It's very simple to deal with this kind of low-IQ zombie. Just light a candle in the distance and he will be attracted by the flames. Then you can just avoid him and run away."

I nodded. Luckily, the zombies walked very slowly, giving me plenty of time to prepare. I ran to a tree near the door, lit a candle, and quietly walked away. Just as Su Xiaoniu had said, the zombies saw the flames as if they had seen a delicious meal, and they left me and walked towards the candles.

I took the opportunity to sneak into the hospital.

What I never expected was that the scene inside was even more terrifying, so terrifying that it made me nauseous and even faint.

Ghosts of those who died in vain, the living dead infected by the virus, zombies, and goblins were wandering around. The hall floor, glass, and walls were covered with traces of broken and rusty iron. The hospital was devastated and bloodstained, turning it into a gloomy and barren place.
