The voice was soft, gentle, and unusually calm. It was clearly a girl's voice.
I swallowed and subconsciously looked back, only to discover that this girl was none other than the one who had carried me on her back that day and escaped Huo Liang and his men's search from the train station. She was still wearing her school uniform, a black and white velvet coat on the outside, and a short skirt underneath, revealing two slender, white legs.
Long straight black hair, draped over the shoulders, white stockings, and canvas shoes.
Her clear and bright big eyes looked at me without blinking, and her flawless face was not disturbed at all.
I breathed a sigh of relief and said, "It's you. How come you are here?" Although I asked knowingly, I had seen her before when I was looking at the 32nd floor from the door of the building. She was sitting on the windowsill, looking at the stars and the moon in the sky, and watching people coming and going on the ground.
Then I heard the girl say, "I came here to look for something. When I met them, I took them back with me." She pointed behind her.
I glanced over and saw two boys in school uniforms running towards me. At first glance, I realized they were Wang Zhong and Wang Xiaofei, the same brothers who had fought with Liao Zhiyuan in the bathroom that morning.
There are bruises on the face of student Wang Zhong. It seems that he was beaten badly by Liao Zhiyuan.
I asked them why they were here so late. Were they here to beat up Liao Zhiyuan? Because Liao Zhiyuan had previously said that Wang Zhong and Wang Xiaofei were going to beat him up after school...
Wang Zhong shook his head and said, "That's not true! Liao Zhiyuan recruited a group of people to beat me and my brother, so we've been hiding here and haven't dared to go home!"
Wang Xiaofei also nodded repeatedly and said yes.
Damn, that’s weird, that’s not what Liao Zhiyuan said before!
"I just ran into Liao Zhiyuan. He said that you guys wanted to beat him up, so he hid in the corner of the corridor and didn't dare to go home..." I told the truth.
"Don't believe what Liao Zhiyuan says. That guy is so hateful!" Wang Zhong said angrily.
I was confused for a moment. Liao Zhiyuan and the Wang brothers, who the hell was lying? Or perhaps, all three of them were lying!
I fixed my gaze on the girl and asked, "What are you looking for so late at night, and on the 32nd floor?"
The girl shook her head calmly and said, "I don't know what it is, but I only know that I left something here, and I have to find it."
My brow furrowed as I heard this. What could be so important? Even if it was really left here, why didn't she come looking for it during the day, but at this time? Besides, isn't she afraid?
I always feel that this girl is very special!
I asked her what her name was, and the girl said, "Zhang Shaoqi."
I was so frightened that my soul almost flew away. I stepped back and said in horror, "Zhang Shaoqi? You...you should have jumped off the building and committed suicide, right?"
But Wang Zhong and Wang Xiaofei said in unison: "Who told you that? Don't scare people so late at night, okay? Zhang Shaoqi is clearly a living, breathing person! She has a heartbeat, a warm body, isn't afraid of the sun, and lives a normal life just like us. How could she be like you think?"
I calmed down and thought, and it was true. This girl lived under the sun just like any other normal person. If she had become a ghost after committing suicide, there was no way I wouldn't have noticed! But no matter how I looked at her, even with my wisdom eyes, I couldn't see any difference between her and ordinary people.
"I have something to ask you. Let's leave here and find a place to talk it over," I said.
Zhang Shaoqi nodded to the two brothers, agreeing to go with me. I took them to the elevator, and as we passed the door to the room on the 32nd floor that couldn't be opened, I faintly heard weak breathing coming from inside the room. It sounded like a girl's voice.
I was stunned. Zhang Shaoqi was right in front of me, and there was a girl's panting in the room... So, Zhang Shaoqi was not what I imagined. Then, whose panting sound was that in the room?
Wang Xiaofei said in horror: "It's very dangerous here, let's leave quickly!"
I nodded and took them to the elevator and left the building. Nothing strange happened along the way, except that I was upset because I lost Zhang Longming! But it wasn't my fault, after all. He was the one who let him run around. Now everyone who ran away is gone, and I can't find him. I can only wait and see tomorrow to find out more.
This is a small cafe on the first floor of a building in the city center, near that strange building. It's not the most luxurious place in the city. I don't even have 500 yuan, so I can't afford to treat these students to a lavish meal. I can only find a smaller place.
Opposite the cafe is, of course, that strange building. Looking from the cafe, the light levels on each floor of the building are very different, especially the 30th to 32nd floors, which are still pitch black, making it look eerie no matter how you look at it.
The atmosphere in the cafe was peaceful and refreshing, completely different from the suffocating eerie atmosphere we had in the building.
We asked the waiter to make each of us a cup of coffee, adding sugar or not is up to their own preference. Wang Zhong and Wang Xiaofei, as brothers, both added a spoonful of sugar, but Zhang Shaoqi didn't want any sugar, perhaps she liked to drink pure coffee.
I looked at the three of them, took a sip of coffee, and then told them what I knew about Zhang Shaoqi's suicide by jumping off a building: "This is what happened."
Wang Xiaofei was a bit bolder than his brother and asked doubtfully, "So, you mean Zhang Shaoqi should be dead?"
