Chapter 7: The Vain Male Wife of the Domineering Boss
"Would you like something to drink?"
Lin Zhi opened the small refrigerator in the room and leaned over to look at the stock inside.
The overly loose shirt rose slightly as he moved, and the lines of his long legs, which were already not concealed, became even softer under the bright indoor lights.
This seemed to intensify the subtle yet lingering peach-colored scent in the air, making people feel palpitations as if an unknown danger was approaching.
"Need not."
Mingyao refused, his voice slightly hoarse.
"I came here to talk to you about grandpa's thoughts on your future career."
Mingyao almost eagerly stated the purpose of his trip so that he could resolve the matter and leave quickly. Although his usual style was not to talk nonsense, he knew that his emotions seemed a little confused and the uncontrollable feeling made him a little uncomfortable.
"Grandpa, do you want me to join the Ming family? If that's the case, just help me reject Grandpa."
Lin Zhi prepared so much, of course, in order to get close to Mingyao, but he didn't intend to do it in this way. Simply working for Mingyao would be meaningless.
"So what do you think?"
Lin Zhi's answer was somewhat beyond Mingyao's expectations. Although he came here to ask about Lin Zhi's personal wishes, he thought Lin Zhi would not refuse, but Lin Zhi refused.
Mingyao thought of the scene where Lin Zhi and Hesheng's Qiu Qingrong were talking to each other last time, and his brows unconsciously frowned.
"I don't have any ideas for now, I just don't want to be your subordinate."
The tiredness after the enjoyment made Lin Zhi's voice a little soft. He sat opposite Ming Yao, crossed his legs and swayed on his toes.
Mingyao's attention was attracted and he paused for a short while unconsciously, then returned to Lin Zhi's words.
These words had nothing to do with rejection; Mingyao conveyed his confusion with his expression.
"Why?"
"I don't like bosses who are too strict, and... I can't just hang on to the empty title of Mrs. Ming and not enjoy the benefits of Mrs. Ming, and I have to lose my current benefits."
It seemed that when thinking of that scene, Lin Zhi's expression was a little distressed.
This made Mingyao curious. He didn't know why Lin Zhi would lose her current benefits if she worked for him, so he asked, "For example?"
Mingyao intentionally or unintentionally ignored the sentence that he didn't like a strict boss.
"For example, I can't take your ride. I might be found going to the same place as you. What should I say if my colleagues ask me where I live? What if someone gives me a hard time? I'm your wife but I can't use this title to pressure others. I'm really unhappy just thinking about it."
Lin Zhi counted them one by one with his fingers, and said the last sentence with such vanity that he did not hide it at all.
01 I couldn't help but hold my face with my hands. The host's acting skills are so good. He is so vain but somehow he makes people feel so cute, delicate and pretentious.
Mingyao was silent for a while. He really should let his grandfather see Lin Zhi like this. He should see how the old man could praise someone for being well-behaved and sensible. Even the reason for rejecting his feelings was so speechless. But thinking about Lin Zhi's personality, he inexplicably felt that it was logical.
"So, it's better to stay away from you."
Listening to Lin Zhi's words, Mingyao's fingers gently stroked the armrest of the wheelchair and said lightly: "The last time you rode in my car, you said you had to get closer to me so that you could get benefits from the old man."
"That's closer to your life. If I go to Ming's, who knows where I'll be sent to? How can I always see you?"
Lin Zhi raised an eyebrow, looking as if to say, "There are no loopholes in what I said."
"Why don't you be my assistant?"
Mingyao thought about it and felt that it was feasible. If he wanted to test Lin Zhi's ability, it would be better to keep him by his side and see what kind of results he could achieve.
Besides, even if he had some ulterior motives, he would be cautious under his watch.
If I don't have the ability, I can explain it to the old man.
"How much is my salary?"
“There will be a detailed contract later.”
"Can I get a ride with you?"
"Of course the assistant who is traveling with me can."
"If someone gives me a hard time can I use your name?"
"Of course," Mingyao added, looking at Lin Zhi and said, "Don't take advantage of your position to bully others."
"How could that be, Mr. Ming? I am very obedient."
Lin Zhi leaned back in a large soft chair, her eyes glistening with a thin layer of light, making her look very well-behaved and innocent.
The collar was a little crooked because of his sitting posture, and the skin on his collarbone was shining white in the light.
The breath that made Mingyao feel a little breathless seemed to entangle him again. When Mingyao saw that he had finished talking and was about to leave, one foot stepped on his thigh.
"Our conversation isn't over yet. Sorry, I was a little impatient to stop you."
Having said that, Lin Zhi's feet did not leave his legs, but slid from top to bottom to his knees, pressing against them with her toes.
Mingyao's body was stiff. Although he couldn't walk, he still had feeling in his legs. His thighs were no different from those of normal people. In fact, his nerves were more sensitive because he had been in a wheelchair for so many years.
Since he came to talk just after get off work, he was still wearing formal clothes, and the high-quality trousers conveyed the touch perfectly.
An unfamiliar tingling sensation seemed to spread from under his skin to everywhere, causing him to clench the armrests of the wheelchair. He tightened his jaw and stared at the tip of the toe resting on his knee with a gloomy look, resisting the urge to clench it tightly or even crush it.
His voice became hoarse: "Put it down, don't touch me."
The owner of the foot did not seem to realize that he had done anything big, and his toes slid down and swayed slightly in the air.
Mingyao's gaze moved up inch by inch, from the ankle to the calf, and from the calf to the knee, and met the pair of eyes that pretended to be well-behaved.
It's clearly an illusion.
A strong desire for destruction arises, making people want to destroy the false and plunder the truth.
"You seem to have changed a little from before."
Mingyao looked at him quietly. In the past, this man would not dare to do these things in front of him.
"If you want to live a better life, you must be bolder. And I find that Mr. Ming is not that difficult to talk to," Lin Zhi naturally smoothed things over and moved on to the next topic. "What I want to talk to you about is something that is not stipulated in the contract. I think we need to talk about it in depth to avoid confusion in the future."
Mingyao raised his eyes and motioned Lin Zhi to continue.
"Since we don't know how long our marriage will last, there are very important things to do during the period, such as this."
Lin Zhi pointed at the small toys on his bed with a calm expression.
"In the contract, we only agreed that I was not allowed to bring anyone here, not allowed to tell others about our marriage, and not allowed to use this identity to brag to others or even exercise privileges, but there was no stipulation on whether I could develop romantic or even sexual relationships with others."
Mingyao's brows sank slightly. He had indeed not considered this matter at the beginning. After all, he did not need it, so he subconsciously ignored it. But it was obviously a very inhumane thing to ask others to do so all the time, so Mingyao naturally would not do that.
"I won't interfere with your needs. Just don't let others know your identity and be sensible."
This was within Lin Zhi's expectations, but it was not what he wanted.
Lin Zhi stood up and stood in front of Ming Yao.
"Although it is a formal marriage, betrayal of marriage is not something that should be advocated, especially if I meet someone I like, I will naturally want to marry him, which will create an extremely contradictory relationship."
"I believe that Mr. Ming, you don't want to be told one day that your wife is about to get married."
"So what you mean?"
Mingyao sensed some signals from his words, but was not quite sure.
"I mean...Mr. Ming, do you want to try it with me?"
Lin Zhi leaned forward slightly and got very close to Ming Yao.
Their breaths intertwined and their eyes met.
Mingyao saw something in Lin Zhi's eyes that was different from anything he had seen before. It was not sweet talk or vanity, but a straightforward and pure intention, with love and obsession, an emotion that seemed to devour the person.
The violent beating of his heart caused a brief blank in his brain, so Ming Yao did not push him away and keep a distance from him at the first moment.
"To show my sincerity, next month's living expenses can be reduced by 100,000."
Mingyao's first reaction after hearing this was that, considering Lin Zhi's love of money, one hundred thousand was really a sincere gesture.
The second reaction was, is he only worth 100,000?
"How about it, Mr. Ming, have you thought about it?"
They were too close to each other, Mingyao thought.
The opening and closing of Lin Zhi's lips while speaking seemed to be an ambiguous touch, and it was a distance between them that was about to kiss but had not yet kissed.
"Not considering it."
Mingyao tilted his head slightly and answered with a startled realization that his voice was so hoarse that it didn't sound like his own.
"Well, if Mr. Ming has this idea, please come to me first. Before I change my mind, I will be loyal to our marriage and make good use of my little babies."
"Don't worry, I won't force you. As I said before, Mr. Ming, I'm easy to deal with."
Lin Zhi opened the door for Mingyao and waved to him with a smile.
After Mingyao realized what tools his little darlings were, he pressed the forward button on his wheelchair hard.
The author has something to say:
Now Mr. Ming: I won't interfere with you, I won't consider
Mr. Ming in the future: Wife, the little ones are not as good as my big one
