Chapter 20 Amaterasu

Linnaeus had no choice but to stop.

He was somewhat helpless. There were so many people on this street, why did this guy only target him?

The undead monster stared coldly at Linnai with its pair of dark blue, icy eyes, and let out a low growl from its open mouth. It slowly raised its broken greatsword with its right hand.

His handsome half and monstrous half were both made terrifying by his grinning mouth, revealing his gleaming white teeth.

Although the monster's appearance was already quite frightening, you could still tell that its expression was full of anger.

It stared intently at Linnaeus, as if it had seen an enemy.

That expression seemed to say:

—I've finally found you, damn it!

Lin Nai frowned slightly.

What's going on with this undead monster?

Why does this guy look like I stole his wife when we first met?

The surrounding environment was rendered in black and white, and everything lost its color.

The undead greatsword master seems to possess a special domain, centered on himself, influencing the surrounding environment.

Linnaeus faintly heard mournful sobs.

The sound was rustling, very soft, very mixed, and very chaotic. Lin Nai's first reaction was to doubt that she was hearing things correctly, even though she had tinnitus.

Besides the mournful cries, there were also the desperate screams of a man, pleas for mercy, which eventually turned into frantic screams...

Linnaeus quickly identified the source of the sound.

It was coming from this undead greatswordsman in front of us!

“You…” Lin Nai stared intently at the half-human face of the undead monster, and for some reason, suddenly felt a sense of familiarity…

It seems like...I've seen it somewhere before?

"Do you... know me?"

Lin Nai frowned and asked uncertainly.

"hafnium!"

The blue flames in the undead greatsword's eyes burned even more intensely, as if Linnai's words had further enraged him. He let out a hoarse and gloomy growl and swung his greatsword at him!

Lin Nai's eyes widened; she hadn't expected the monster to attack without warning!

Your body reacts instinctively, and you step back!

The blade swept across his chest almost completely.

The undead greatswordsman hadn't expected his sword strike to miss, but he immediately gripped the hilt, spun the blade, and swung it back again.

"Brother Linna!"

Night hurriedly pushed Lin Nai, allowing Lin Nai to successfully dodge to a safe place.

The sword energy unleashed was as sharp as a knife, severing the roadside vending machine and two streetlights in one fell swoop!

Trees snapped in half, and houses collapsed with a deafening roar.

In an instant, smoke and dust billowed up!

Linnaeus rolled over and stood up again, the dust that rose up almost engulfing him.

"Cough cough cough..." Lin Nai raised her hand and waved away the dust around her, coughing violently several times.

Although she awakened as an apostle of the White Death God, Linna has still not been able to fully master the apostle's abilities.

Aside from the fact that their physical attributes are indeed many times stronger than before, they don't even know how to use the specific skills...

It could only handle minor characters like Liang Wei, but it was clearly no match for the high-level undead monster in front of it.

'This is a bit tricky...' Linna thought to herself.

The undead greatswordsman charged forward again, raising his sword to deliver a downward slash towards Linnai!

Linnaeus gritted his teeth, rolled over, and dodged the downward slashing sword that seemed to shatter the mountain.

As she rolled to her feet, Lin Nai also picked up a brick from the roadside...

Then, relying on his explosive power, he leaped up and flashed behind the undead greatswordsman.

He concentrated all his soul power on the brick and swung it out!

"Smack!"

Linnai slammed the brick hard into the back of the undead greatswordsman's head...

However, this attack was clearly ineffective.

The undead greatswordsman didn't budge, but the brick in Linnai's hand broke in two.

Linnaeus: "..."

Then, with a swift turn and a flick of his sword, the sheer azure sword energy shattered the half-brick in Lin Nai's hand into dust...

Lin Nai was also thrown back four or five meters by the impact of the sword energy, his back hitting a wall, making him grimace in pain.

The undead greatswordsman was not satisfied and charged at him again with his greatsword!

Just then, the girl's figure suddenly appeared and blocked his way.

boom--

Dark red flames swept out, and the undead greatswordsman was blocked by the towering flames.

Night calmly stared at the undead greatswordsman, her eyes still the pure obsidian color, and turned to ask, "Brother Linnai, are you alright?"

Lin Nai leaned against the wall: "It's nothing, just my hands are a little numb from the shaking. That guy has incredible strength..."

He then looked up at the night and fell silent.

Previously, seeing this girl as timid and shy, even with a socially awkward demeanor, I assumed that even if she was the second-ranked Black Angel among the demons, she would be a Black Angel with little strength... at least certainly not the type responsible for combat...

But now it seems that was clearly a mistake... This girl was able to force that undead greatsword warrior back with a single move, so she must be at least a demon of the Wraith level or higher.

Linnaeus was silent for a moment, then asked, "You still have injuries on your wings, are you alright?"

Nightfall said calmly, "It's not a big problem."
