Before it could finish speaking, a pair of large hands, formed from the power of shadow, slapped heavily across its face.
"Snap—"
In an instant, the dog's brain buzzed, and it couldn't even feel its mouth anymore.
"Tell me, where are your companions?" Chu Feng's tone was chilling, his eyes revealing intense killing intent.
"Huh? What did you say?" The shadow dog saw stars. It could only see the man's mouth moving, but its ears were ringing and it couldn't hear anything at all.
It's obvious how powerful this big hole is.
"What a stupid dog!"
Chu Feng rolled his eyes, grabbed the dog by the neck, and used Shadow Step to quickly leave.

It happened shortly after he left.
A baby, half a meter tall, descended from the sky with its arrival.
The monsters within a kilometer radius trembled in fear, as if they had encountered a superior being.
Its eyes were blood red, its face was covered in pustules, and its cherry-sized nose sniffed around in the air.
A look of ecstasy appeared on his face.
"Humans? Such pure Shadow Fiend power!"
The infant stuck out its tongue and licked its lips, its blood-red eyes turning towards the direction where Chu Feng had disappeared.

Outside a hospital that has been abandoned for who knows how many years.
Chu Feng's shadow clung to a large tree, with hawks and hounds beneath his feet.
"This is your hideout?"
"hold head high!"
The shadow dog's mouth twitched, and its body trembled.
"How many monsters like you are there inside?" Chu Feng questioned.
"They've all gone out to find food; they're all wounded Dark Shadow Hounds, about twenty of them."
Shadow Dog dared not hide anything and answered truthfully.
"Injured?" Chu Feng's eyes lit up, a sly glint in them. His current strength was at the second tier of E-rank, and the Shadow Assassin's attack range was twenty meters.
Moreover, this is the den of the Shadow Dogs, so we can simply wait and wait for them to come to us.
Do it if you want to!
With a leap, his shadow shrank by a meter, skimming the ground as he headed towards the hospital.
The released Dark Shadow Hound watched the man head into the lair, felt sorry for its companion for a second, and then ran away.

A happy expression appeared on the Soul-Eating Doll's face as it closed its eyes to savor the flavor.
But the next second, its brows furrowed tightly, and then its face turned ugly, as if it had eaten something filthy.
"It doesn't taste right!"
The Soul-Eating Doll smacked its lips, revealing a thoughtful expression.
Immediately afterwards, its nose sniffed incessantly in the air, heading towards the direction from which the shadow dog had come.

Inside an abandoned hospital.
Chu Feng used his Shadow Step technique to head deeper into the area.
The rooms were dilapidated, covered in cobwebs, and the iron doors were rotten, bearing the marks of time.
"Why isn't there one?" Chu Feng was puzzled. He searched all the rooms in the hospital, but didn't see a single Shadow Dog.
Just as he was pondering this, the sound of something breaking suddenly came from behind the hospital.
"Huh? We just searched the whole area, and there was nothing there except a bunch of shacks!"
Chu Feng was puzzled and headed toward the source of the sound.
When he returned, he saw a dark figure disappear into the shack.
"Holy crap, a doghouse!" Chu Feng slapped his forehead, instantly realizing the solution.
I counted the dog kennels around the area; there were fifty-two in total. And each kennel was about five meters apart.
This looks like the Shadowhound's lair.
With a swift movement, he headed towards the first doghouse. Once inside, Chu Feng's shadow discovered that it was quite unique.
These bastards actually know how to dig holes, and their shacks are more than ten meters deep underground. No wonder he couldn't find them.
Shadow Assassin was ready and cautiously probed deeper into the dog hole.
Even though these guys are all injured, their strength is still only D-rank, so it's better to be careful.
Deep inside the dog hole, a shadowy dog was fast asleep.
With a human bone in its mouth, drooling, it lay sprawled out, sleeping soundly.
Scanning it, the information about the shadow dog immediately appeared.
Name: Dark Shadow Hound (Severely Injured)
Strength: D-rank, Tier 1
Abilities: Shadow Assassin, Shadow Lurker
"You bastard, you know how to enjoy yourself!" Chu Feng made his move instantly.
The Shadow Assassin launched a surprise attack, instantly piercing the Shadow Hound's throat.
"ah-"
It convulsed in excruciating pain, its eyes barely opening when it saw a handsome face staring intently at it.
"Dare to utter a sound, and I'll wipe you out right now!"
The shadow dog was stunned; it was dreaming of playing happily with a group of female puppies in a sea of love.
Suddenly, I woke up!
Already severely injured, and further weakened by the Shadow Strike, the Shadow Hound was now filled with nothing but terror and helplessness.
"Just bear with it, it'll be over soon!"
