Chapter 56 I will take Huo Jue away!

Smoke curled up from the chimney.

Wen Xia Nuan reached out to take the egg, but the next second, a scream pierced the sky: "Who told you to take it!"

Old Mrs. Huo rushed out like a firecracker, her eyes fell on the egg in Wen Xianuan's hand and she reached out to grab it.

Wen Xia Nuan, however, dodged before her, taking the egg with her. She frowned and looked at Mrs. Huo, her expression filled with coldness: "What are you doing?"

Mrs. Huo stared at Wen Xia Nuan intently: "What are you holding?"

She shook the egg in her hand: "You can't see something so obvious?"

Old Mrs. Huo stared at Wen Xia Nuan with gritted teeth, her eyes filled with coldness: "Wen Xia Nuan, who told you to take my eggs? These are all for my grandson to eat!"

Wen Xia Nuan smiled and glanced at Huo Jue. After just one glance, she looked away again: "Old lady, don't worry, I will never eat your eggs."

"Then put it down right away!"

The old lady stared at Wen Xia Nuan with a burning gaze. Wen Xia Nuan waved her hand: "If you want me to put down this egg, I have to tell you that I can't."

With a clang, Wen Xia Nuan cracked the egg and it fell into the bowl. There was a coldness in her eyes: "This is what your eldest grandson wanted to eat, so I'm going to cook it."

She spoke in a cold voice, "Huo Jue is still sick. You can't leave any food in his mouth, right?"

Mrs. Huo's eyes immediately fell on Huo Jue: "Ajue, tell me, why do you have to eat this when there are so many other things you can eat?"

"You should know who I want to leave this for!"

Old Mrs. Huo spoke earnestly, but Huo Jue turned a deaf ear to her.

The water in the pot was already boiling. Wen Xia Nuan beat the eggs and poured them directly into the pot.

Old Mrs. Huo stood by and cried out in pain, feeling extremely distressed.

Wen Xia Nuan put on her ear pick and saw that the boiled egg was ready. She scooped it up and waved towards Huo Jue, "Come here and eat quickly!"

"Eat it and your body will be healthy!"

The bowl of boiled eggs in front of him made Huo Jue feel inexplicably warm. His grandmother's voice could be heard in his ears, but for Huo Jue, he felt more at ease than ever before.

When he put the hot boiled egg into his mouth, he felt the long-lost warmth. He could even say that this was the most delicious thing he had ever eaten in his life.

"How about it?"

Huo Jue nodded, his hoarse voice filled with warmth: "Thank you, Wen Zhiqing."

Wen Xia Nuan waved her hand: "Don't be polite, this is what you deserve."

Mrs. Huo also said bluntly: "What do you mean he deserves it? What did Huo Jue deserve?"

She glared at him, and Wen Xia Nuan sneered, "Old Madam, I don't like what you're saying. You don't even mention how much Huo Jue has sacrificed for your family!"

Mrs. Huo remained silent. Wen Xia Nuan sneered and looked at Huo Jue and said, "From now on, you can eat whatever you want. Since your family doesn't treat you as a human being, then follow me!"

Huo Jue's heart couldn't help but skip a beat, and he looked up at Wen Xia Nuan.

The old lady sneered and looked at Wen Xia Nuan: "Wen Zhiqing, you are so bold! What kind of ability do you, a sent-down youth, have? You want me, the Huo family, to follow you? I think you are really dreaming!"

"Huo Jue, it's not that grandma won't give you food, but you also know that Ah Xiao is still studying, so your body has to keep up, right? Besides, only when your brother succeeds, you will have a chance to have a better life, right?"

"What do you mean by a better life? A better life for my brother, right?"

Wen Xia Nuan's eyes fell on Huo Jue with a half-smile: "Huo Jue, although I don't have this ability now, believe me, I am not always incapable. When I return home, I will be able to do whatever you want!"

"My eldest grandson won't go with you!"

Old Madam Huo cursed angrily, "Wen Xia Nuan, you're a lesbian, and all you want to do is bring a man home. Don't you have any shame?"

Wen Xia Nuan looked up at Old Madam Huo and said with a forced smile, "It's not up to you to decide whether I'm shameful or not! As long as Huo Jue is willing, I'm willing to take him away!"

Our daughter is really amazing. She made Old Madam Huo so angry that she was almost to death!

[This old lady really deserves it. Who could have imagined she was so biased? Huo Jue is clearly her grandson, but look at what she's done to him!]

[I'm on our daughter's side this time. We should really piss off the old lady!]

As the barrage of comments appeared before her eyes, Wen Xia Nuan felt even more confident.

Old Mrs. Huo covered her chest with her hands, her whole body trembling with anger.

She looked at Huo Jue and angrily scolded him, "You bastard, are you just going to watch your grandmother get bullied like this?"

Huo Jue's eyes fell on the old lady, and then he moved slightly: "Grandma, if Wen Zhiqing is really willing, I am willing to go with him."

"You, what did you say?"

Huo Jue looked away and met Old Madam Huo's gaze. He had never been so clear-headed before: "I said, if Wen Zhiqing is willing, I can go with her."

He has borne enough of the Huo family's burden over the years, and from now on, he just wants to live a good life for himself.

"Huo Jue, do you not want this family anymore?"

Old Mrs. Huo widened her eyes and looked at him in disbelief.

Huo Jue didn't say anything, but his expression said it all.

"Okay, okay, you've grown up now and know how to run away! Huo Jue, you really are my good grandson!"

Old Mrs. Huo felt extremely aggrieved. She looked at her grandson with disappointment in her eyes. "If you really want to leave in the future, then go! Just pretend that I don't have a grandson like you!"

Wen Xia Nuan watched Old Madam Huo leave, and seeing Huo Jue still standing there, she couldn't help but step forward.

At that time, she was thinking of trying to save face by not making any effort, but now that she had calmed down and looked at Huo Jue, Wen Xia Nuan felt that this idea was completely contrary to what she thought.

Could Huo Jue really go back to the city with her?

Wen Xia Nuan's eyes fell on Huo Jue, and she opened her mouth, but found that she couldn't say a word.

"Wen Zhiqing, thank you so much for what you did just now."

Huo Jue raised his head and met her gaze: "I know what you are thinking."

Wen Xia Nuan stared at him blankly, not quite understanding what Huo Jue meant by this sentence.

"I know that what you just said was just to save face."

Huo Jue spoke calmly, but Wen Xia Nuan felt a little uncomfortable in her heart: "Huo Jue, I mean everything I say."

She stared at the man seriously: "I did act on impulse at first, but now I have figured it out. I will not leave you here alone."
