Chapter 136 Ali and Laxus
At night, Orphelia sat on the edge of the bed, so sleepy that tears were streaming down her face, but she still wanted to watch the three little dragon cubs playing on the ground.
She leaned her head against the wall, bouncing back and forth as she fished, and Zeref couldn't bear to watch.
He reached out and held up Ophelia's chin, which had drooped again, and said softly, "If you're sleepy, go to sleep first."
Ophelia shook her head. "The kids haven't had their dinner yet."
Because the little dragon cubs are growing now, they have to have an extra meal every night.
So Ophelia could only sleep after they finished their snacks.
"I'll watch them eat dinner tonight. You go to sleep first."
Ophelia was indeed a little tired after walking around the fields during the day, and she couldn't hold on any longer. She yawned. "Okay, then you keep an eye on them and don't let them cause any more trouble."
The house she had just built was demolished by three little dragons within a year.
"Okay, I understand. I won't let them cause trouble again."
So Ophelia lay down and soon fell into a sweet dream.
The little dragon cub playing on the ground saw that its mother had fallen asleep, so it quietly slipped to the wall and tried to scratch it.
Zeref keenly caught the sound of them scratching the wall, and his expression immediately turned cold.
The three little dragons felt the pressure from their father and immediately retracted their claws, placing them on their abdomens and pretending nothing had happened.
Zeref glanced at them and said coldly, "Behave yourself, or I'll throw you out."
Threatened by his father, the little dragon cub had no choice but to go back to the animal-skin rug and play chasing and fighting.
The eldest one was the strongest and bit the second one's tail, causing the second one to groan in pain.
Zeref hurried to see Ophelia lying on the bed. Seeing that her brows were slightly furrowed, as if she was about to wake up, he hurriedly patted her back gently.
"Don't worry, I'm here."
Her voice gave Ophelia a sense of security and she fell into a deep sleep again.
Zeref's cold eyes glared at the second one who had just made the sound.
The second one was immediately scared and shrank his neck, covering his mouth with his two little paws, trying to get away with it by acting stupid and cute.
"Don't make any noise."
About half an hour later, the third light golden female cub came to Zeref's legs.
She gently touched Zeref's legs, looked at him pitifully with her watery eyes, and then pointed to her mouth.
"Bobo." Hungry, hungry.
Seeing how soft and cute she was, Zeref leaned over slightly and pulled her into his arms.
The eldest and second oldest were also looking at him eagerly, and wanted to come closer, but he kicked them aside.
"Wait."
Leaving behind these two cold words, Zeref carried the little female cub out of the room.
When he came back, he was holding a large pot of barbecue and a bowl of thick rice porridge.
The three little dragons gathered around the barbecue and ate happily. After they finished eating, they stared at the white rice porridge next to them.
Zeref pushed the rice porridge toward the little female cub, his voice low and doting. "Eat it."
Seeing this, the eldest and the second oldest licked their tongues and wanted to move closer, but a look from Zeref froze them in place.
After the little female cub finished eating, Zeref took out his personal handkerchief and wiped her mouth, then rubbed her furry head.
"When you're full, go to sleep."
The little female cub nodded obediently, then walked to her own grass nest in the corner, closed her eyes and fell asleep.
The other two little dragons had just recovered their energy after their meal and wanted to play for a while longer.
But under their father's gaze, they could only go back to their grass nest to sleep.
Only after the three little dragon cubs began to snore did Zeref lie down on the bed.
He pulled Ophelia into his arms, cradling her gently in his embrace as he slowly fell asleep.
This night was the sweetest sleep Ophelia had since giving birth.
When she woke up the next day, she was full of energy and felt very happy looking at the three cute little dragon cubs sleeping in the grass nest.
As expected, blood suppression is ineffective everywhere.
Then she turned her head to look at Zeref next to her.
The sunlight filtered through the window, like a golden veil covering Zeref's face, softening his sharp features.
Ophelia then realized that she had never looked at Zeref carefully.
And at this moment, she truly regarded him as her partner.
On the other side, Laxus, you came to the Fu tribe early in the morning.
The male guarding the gate of the Fu tribe saw her and greeted her with a smile.
"Hey, Laxus is here again today. What delicious food did you bring today?"
Laxus also heard the males' teasing towards him, but he didn't take it seriously.
"Just some roast rabbit."
Yesterday he heard that Ali wanted to eat roasted rabbit meat, so he went to hunt the fattest and tenderest wild rabbit early this morning, roasted it and brought it to her while it was hot.
"Then go quickly, Ali should be awake by now."
The people of the Fu tribe have become accustomed to Laxus bringing food to Ali three times a day.
Laxus scratched his head, a little confused by their teasing, but quickened his pace and headed towards the Fu Clan's single female dormitory.
The original five-story stone house was divided by Ophelia into single male dormitories, single female dormitories, and couple dormitories.
Although there are not many single females in the tribe, Ophelia still preserved the first floor of the five-story food hall as a dormitory for single females in the future.
The remaining second to fifth floors are dormitories for couples and single males. Since there is a male in charge of each household, she is not worried about any accidents.
She had made it clear to the males when they joined the tribe that if they forced the females, they would be killed without mercy.
They are not even given the chance to live as stray animals.
Some males accept it, some don't.
Of course, those who did not accept were rejected by Ophelia.
The tribe she wants to build is a harmonious and safe tribe, and she must not let a single bad apple spoil the whole pot of soup.
In the stone house on the first floor, Ali had woken up and was talking to the young female who was having breakfast outside the dormitory.
"Ali, my partner is making roast lamb today. It's very tender. Would you like to try it?"
"Sister Taya, no need."
"Taya doesn't need your kindness. Someone is giving her food." A little female next to her teased.
Several young females also covered their lips and chuckled at the same time.
Ali blushed at their laughter and stamped her feet. "Sisters, you misunderstood."
As he was speaking, he saw a tall figure slowly walking towards him.
Seeing that figure, the little females curled their lips and looked at Ali with ambiguous eyes.
"Ali, the person who brought you food is here."
Ali blushed and looked at Laxus who was walking slowly towards her, her heart beating like thunder.
"Ali, why is your face so red? Are you sick?"
A big, hot palm was placed on Ali's forehead, accompanied by the male's concerned words.
"You don't have a fever, are you feeling unwell?"
