Chapter 137 Nightmare Beast.

Not wanting to offend either of the Three Pure Ones or the Jade Emperor, they gave a fair answer: "They are all very good."

Then he posed the question to Taiqing, "Taiqing, what do you think?"

"Sisi is quite good." Taiqing smiled faintly. "Xiaosi and Chunyu are also good."

"Long'er is too impulsive and lacks compassion."

Shang Qing was displeased. "What compassion do we need now that we're undergoing trials? They're just virtual people in the trials, not real civilians. My Long'er understands this clearly, which is why he doesn't want to waste time."

Taiqing glanced at him casually and said rather rudely, "Pity can be shown to anyone, not just ordinary people. Who says virtual people don't deserve pity?"

"Shangqing is a god. Only a god with a compassionate heart can hear the prayers of the world and all living beings."

Shang Qing naturally understood this principle, but he just didn't want to admit that Long'er was inferior to the others.

"Then tell me, what's so good about Sisi?"

"In every aspect."

Yuqing laughed loudly, "Hahaha, Brother Taiqing always likes to tell the truth. Our Sisi is good in every way."

"Oh…"

Shang Qing smiled coldly, "You couldn't find any other words to praise him, so you came up with this sentence, didn't you?"

"When Sisi gave the locust tree demon some snacks, did you notice Long'er's expression? She looked disgusted. Does that mean beggars don't deserve divine mercy?"

Taiqing's question made Shangqing hesitate, "She...she was just too focused on her training."

"How can you be sure this isn't part of the training? People's subconscious expressions don't lie. She has no compassion, just like when she killed the locust tree demon. She doesn't know how to be flexible and only knows how to kill blindly. She's too impulsive."

At this point, Shangqing became angry, "Sisi has so many good things, of course she doesn't need to be killed. Once her Moon Chasing Crossbow comes out, what monster would dare to fight her?"

"You could give it to me, why don't you?" Taiqing asked with a smile. "You can't even bear to part with your own disciple?"

Shangqing was speechless and his face turned red. No matter how many treasures he had, they were not as many as Yuqing and Yuan'er's, and he could not compare.

He ground his back teeth and said, "Fine, fine, Sisi is the best, okay?"

Yuqing smiled happily, "That's exactly right."

"..."

Shang Qing snorted, "There's still a second round. Don't be too happy yet; she might not be able to win in a row!"

The River of Oblivion at this moment.

Ye'er looked at the small boat in the middle, on which sat a hunched old woman, slowly sailing towards them.

"Can you commit murder? Those who commit murder cannot board the boat. Think it over carefully, or you will be swallowed by the River of Oblivion if you choose the wrong path."

Ye'er took a shaky step, clutching the red rope, when suddenly a soul bumped into her and cried out.

"Let me get on the boat first!"

The moment they stepped on it, it was as if they were falling into nothingness, straight into the River of Oblivion. The vengeful ghosts in the river were excitedly boiling, screaming everywhere, but soon fell silent.

Ye'er swallowed hard in fear.

"Can't we make an exception?"

The old woman looked up, and the eerie gaze sent a chill down her spine.

"Get on the boat," she urged.

Ye'er stepped onto the boat as if she were about to fall, but the red rope in her hand emitted light and actually held her back.

She didn't fall!

The old woman chuckled, "She's lucky, actually."

Ye'er knew that she couldn't have been lucky; it was that little fairy who helped her. The little fairy truly lived up to her name.

Ye'er hurriedly knelt down on the boat to express her gratitude.

Soon they reached the other side, where Ye'er saw two familiar figures: Qin Mingyue and Chunxiang.

"elder sister!"

She ran over and threw herself into the man's arms.

The woman smiled gently, "Ye'er is here. Let's go, let's cross the Bridge of Helplessness together."

With tears in her eyes, Ye'er said, "Okay."

………

Sisi stood outside a house, somewhat dazed. She had just left the city and suddenly felt dizzy; she had arrived here.

Is she the only one here? Where are the others?

Moreover, this house belongs to the Zhou family in the human realm, so why is she here?

As she pondered, a woman emerged from the house. It was Qin Shi, carrying a basket on her back. She called out, "Mother, I'm going up the mountain to find food. Take good care of Sisi."

The person inside responded with a soft "hmm".

The scene shifts to the mountain, where Qin carefully bends down to search for food on the ground. After a long drought, the land is barren, and she has searched for a long time without finding anything edible.

Qin was somewhat desperate.

"Is there any point in living like this? Day after day, night after night, starving, with no food or water, we'll all starve to death sooner or later."

"My poor, precious Sisi, so little, has to die with us. I feel so sorry for her..."

She sobbed softly, when she suddenly noticed the ground around her was moving; many lush green vegetables were sprouting from the soil.

Qin's body suddenly stiffened.

Not only that, withered trees sprang up from the ground, laden with sweet fruit, the earth trembled violently, and herds of wild boars rushed out and crashed to their deaths in front of Qin Shi.

Sisi smiled, "That way Mommy won't cry anymore, right?"

Qin Shi, however, showed no joy. Her face was blank, as if these events had exceeded her expectations.

Why isn't Mother happy that there's food to eat?

Could it be because the food wasn't cooked thoroughly?

Sisi had prepared many different roast chickens and ducks, and the aroma made Qin's stomach rumble, but she remained seated on the ground without moving.

Why isn't Mother eating?

The little guy muttered something.

Qin finally moved. She didn't eat the food, but instead, as if she couldn't see it, she lay on the ground and cried again.

"In a drought year, we have nothing to eat, the eldest son is disfigured, the third and fourth sons have run away, the fifth son's leg is broken, and Sisi is mentally challenged. How are we supposed to survive?!"

"I might as well just die. I'd rather be dead."

With that, she rushed headlong down the cliff.

Seeing that she was about to step onto the cliff, and that the person behind her still showed no intention of saving her, Qin subconsciously turned around and saw the little girl looking at her with a grin.

When did they find me?

Qin's face suddenly changed, transforming into a small, luminous white beast, resembling a deer, except that it was entirely white, even its eyes were white.

"Wow!"

Sisi exclaimed in surprise, ran to its side, and reached out to touch its fur. "Your fur is so soft, it feels so good! What are you?"

"I'm nothing." It glared at her, shivering as it tried to get away from her hand, but Sisi chuckled and hugged it.

"You're so soft."

"I am a Nightmare Beast, I am a Divine Beast, please respect me, okay?"

Sisi blinked. "How can I respect you?"

"Kneel down and call me sir."

The Nightmare Beast looked arrogant, then was suddenly slapped by a chubby little hand. "You dare make me kneel? Aren't you afraid of being struck by lightning?"

"I won't..."

With a loud rumble, the Nightmare Beast trembled, and Sisi giggled, pinching and rubbing her ears. "Are you scared?"
