Chapter 175 Good Morning Kiss

Sisi was taken aback, and after a long while she laughed, "If you take him away, who will keep the dog company?"

The dog seemed confused. She sat on the stool holding the puppy and suddenly started crying. Her mother-in-law patted her back and asked, "Why are you crying all of a sudden?"

"Grandma, sister doesn't want the puppy. The puppy won't survive this winter. It hasn't been nursing for several days."

The old woman suddenly realized that it wasn't that the dog wasn't nursing anymore; it was that the big dog was sometimes hungry and sometimes full, so it didn't produce any milk at all.

She cried so hard that her mother-in-law comforted her for a long time. After the dog stopped crying, she timidly put the puppy into her arms again, saying, "Sister, you should take the dog with you. It can live."

The puppy was not in good condition; it was listless, thin as a skeleton, and almost identical to other dogs.

Sisi patted her head. "Okay, sister, take the dog away and let the dog live, okay?"

She then stopped crying and started to smile.

The dog ate heartily, but the grandmother didn't eat much. She seemed to have itchy eyes and kept rubbing them with a handkerchief.

As darkness fell, Sisi sat in the room combing her hair. Due to limited space, she couldn't take a bath. Zhou Qiyan lay on the bed, feeling a bit annoyed. After a while, he got up and took the comb from her to comb her hair.

"Let's leave tomorrow. This place is remote, and there's only one family living here. Their living conditions are really too harsh."

Sisi responded and looked at the snowflakes falling outside, slightly lost in thought. Zhou Qiyan was displeased with her absent-mindedness and punished her by lightly biting her lips.

What are you thinking about?

I miss my dog.

Zhou Qiyan held her in his arms and buried his face in the crook of her neck. "Madam, you have managed the Six Realms very well. There are rich people and poor people. You can't take care of everything. There are many like Gou'er."

Sisi tilted her head back slightly, her mood somewhat low. "If something like this happens, it's ultimately because I, the Heavenly Emperor, haven't done my job properly. I saw it, and I couldn't just ignore it."

"Before we leave, let's leave her some extra food. This place is remote, and she probably won't have anywhere to spend money if we give her any."

"Um."

Zhou Qiyan gently kissed her neck, but didn't take any further action. He quickly sighed, "We still need to find a place to stay where we can take a bath."

Sisi didn't sleep well that night. She heard rustling voices outside and crying. Worried, she put on her clothes and went out.

There wasn't enough room for the carriage in the courtyard, so it was parked outside. Sisi saw the dog being pushed to the ground, and several men were unloading things from the carriage one after another.

The dog saw her covering her mouth and not making a sound, and kept shaking its head at her, but the men still noticed her.

They were all stunned. They had never seen anyone as beautiful as her in their lives. Her fair face was so white that it almost blended into the snow.

"I presume this young lady is today's guest? What brings you here? Why don't you come to my house? My house is much more spacious than this old woman's, and my big bed is very comfortable..."

Before he could finish speaking, Sisi curled her lips into a smile, and the snow on the ground swirled and flew up, instantly covering him up like a snowball with only his nose showing.

"Monster...monster..."

In the other days, they ran away as fast as they could, not caring about anything good or bad, their lives were the most important thing.

Unfortunately, they were never as fast as Sisi.

Seeing several "snowmen," Sisi pulled the dog up and asked softly, "Why isn't the dog sleeping outside? Does the dog know them?"

The dog bit its lip. "They are the uncles in the village. They often bully Grandma. Grandma said that my sister's things are valuable, and told the dog to keep an eye on them. They are bad people."

The little hands in her palms were already blue and white from the cold. Sisi rubbed them and then took off her fox fur coat and draped it over her shoulders.

"Do dogs like snow?"

The dog shook its head. "I don't like it. It's so cold when it snows, and I don't know how to go out and find food. I'll go hungry."

"Does my sister know magic? Do you believe it, Doggy?"

The dog stared at her blankly for a moment, then nodded. She had seen her sister turn those bad guys into little balls. Her sister was so amazing.

Sisi's fingertips flickered with spiritual energy, and Gou'er opened his eyes wide in surprise as he watched the spiritual energy jump and bounce into her palm.

"How about the dog throws it out and wishes for the snow to stop?"

"Is it really possible for it not to snow?"

Sisi smiled and said, "Let's give it a try."

The dog threw out the spiritual energy, and in an instant, the snow stopped, and the thick snow on the ground quickly melted away, revealing the grass and soil.

"real!"

The dog jumped up and down happily, "Sister is amazing! It really stopped snowing and it's not cold anymore."

Sisi patted her head. "Alright, go back to sleep. You can't go out at night, okay?"

"Uh-huh."

The dog skipped and hopped back into the house.

Sisi glanced at the unconscious people, then looked away and at the dog in the shed.

The big dog could no longer get up, and the little dog nestled in its arms, drawing warmth from its last bit of body. When it saw her approaching, the big dog nuzzled the little dog, as if it had understood what she had said during the day.

"It's not easy to live for eighteen years."

Sisi gave the puppy a lot of food, and the big dog struggled to sit up. After finishing the meal, he licked the puppy's fur, fed it one last feeding, and then got up and walked outside.

The old woman knew the big dog was gone as soon as she woke up in the morning. All the dogs in the village are like that; they hide and die secretly when they know they are about to die.

The dog was crying while holding the puppy. She sighed, her expression suddenly enlightened, and then leaned down and whispered a few words in her ear.

Bai Zhi was making breakfast when she saw the dog running into the house, so she quickly grabbed it.

"You can't go in. Madam is still sleeping. We have to wait for her to come out, understand?"

The dog nodded as if it understood, and sat by the door.

Sisi wanted to get up, but Zhou Qiyan kept holding her waist, and he woke up as soon as she moved.

"Sleep a little longer."

"Don't want to leave?"

Zhou Qiyan hesitated for a while with his eyes closed, then let go of his arm. Sisi supported herself, and he pressed down on her again.

His eyes were dark and deep. "I want a good morning kiss."

"..."

Sisi felt that he was too clingy. Although he had only been with one man, it seemed a bit abnormal.

She had made up her mind to take him to see a doctor, and gave him a perfunctory kiss on the corner of his lips.

"Too perfunctory."

Zhou Qiyan was very dissatisfied. After the two argued for a while, Sisi opened the door with her lips slightly swollen.

"Sister." The dog stood up with bright eyes. She reluctantly stroked the puppy in her arms and handed it to her.

"Sister... take the dog and go."

Sisi glanced at her mother-in-law, who was sitting in the yard with a pale face and her eyes closed, as if she were asleep.

Noticing something, she crouched down. "Doggy, did Grandma ask you to take Doggy away?"

The dog bit her lip, seemingly conflicted. She glanced at her mother-in-law, then lowered her head and said, "It's a puppy. Mother-in-law told my sister to take the puppy away."

"Isn't the dog going to leave?"

She shook her head vigorously, "Doggy can't leave. Doggy has to stay with Grandma. Grandma will go hungry if she's all alone and there's no Doggy to cook for her."
