High acidity

High acidity

Jiang Qing pinched his face with her hands and frowned disapprovingly: "Don't move."

The girl's smile is particularly bright and can easily infect everyone around her, but once she frowns, the coldness that has been hidden in an inconspicuous place will emerge, making people subconsciously follow her instructions.

These two very contradictory feelings are different sides of the same person, strange and harmonious.

The girl standing nearby had a serious look on her face, filled with worry.

Lin Nanyan looked at her and did not try to avoid her anymore.

The soft palm was pressed against his forehead, their skin touching, and the girl's warmth continued to flow in, as if it wanted to embed itself deep into his body.

He could hear his heartbeat in his chest, boom-boom-boom, and he couldn't stop his heartbeat every time.

Jiang Qing reached out her hand and touched the boy's forehead back and forth. After a long time, she came to a conclusion.

"I don't have a fever, just my ears are a little red."

She pinched Lin Nanyan's ear, and Lin Nanyan subconsciously wanted to dodge, but Jiang Qing fixed his face and he did not dodge.

"It seems that your acid tolerance has improved dramatically, even better than mine." Jiang Qing sighed incoherently with the candy in her mouth, she couldn't keep a straight face.

The selling point of this candy is that it is super sour. It is extremely sour when you put it in your mouth. After the initial sourness wears off, only the taste of ordinary candy remains, and it is not even as sweet as ordinary sugar.

Jiang Qing guessed that the sour powder coating was probably the selling point. Scarcity makes things valuable, so it wasn't cheap.

"Would you like another one?" she asked. The one in his mouth probably had no taste at all by now.

Lin Nanyan shook his head mechanically, his mouth felt numb and he couldn't taste anything.

"Okay then." Jiang Qing expressed regret that she failed to play a prank on Lin Nanyan.

She threw another sour candy into her mouth. Well, it was sour, but addictive.

Song Shuang exclaimed in amazement: "It has to be you, Jiang Jiang."

The sugar was so sour that she wanted to vomit until now. She swore that she would never be curious and eat random things again.

"You can eat something else. I bought a lot." Jiang Qing picked up the bag of snacks under the table and poured it onto the table.

Song Shuang excitedly took his own schoolbag and dug out the things. "I bought a lot too. There's the spicy noodles you love so much. You must try them."

A table full of snacks suddenly flooded over, covering Lin Nanyan's desk. He reached out and dug out the papers he had sorted out from under the snacks, then turned around and reported to his deskmate, "I'm going to the office to hand in my math papers."

"Yeah, go ahead." Jiang Qing was busy picking up snacks and waved her hand without looking back.

Seeing this, Lin Nanyan moved the stationery outward and set up a barrier around the edge of the table.

In the office, the math teacher was not there. He put his test paper on Teacher Li Wenxiu's desk. When he was about to leave, his teacher Zhang Kuo called him.

"Nan Yan, you are the top student in our class. I don't want you to be affected by other things. At your age, nothing is more important than studying."

Zhang Kuo looked at the promising student in front of him, whom he had never worried about, and gave him earnest advice: "If you have any difficulties or concerns, feel free to come and talk to the teacher."

"The teacher knows that you have a good relationship with Jiang Qing, but you can't take her out to mess around. Jiang Qing's mother had high hopes for her grades at the last parent-teacher conference. Her mother has helped you attend so many parent-teacher conferences. You can't let your aunt down."

Yes, until now, Zhang Kuo has always thought that it was Chen Heng who took the lead in skipping classes. Chen Heng had a good relationship with Lin Nanyan, so he brought Lin Nanyan along. Lin Nanyan had a good relationship with Jiang Qing, so he brought Jiang Qing along too. One thing led to another, and it became like the story of the Calabash Brothers saving their grandfather, with one losing the whole bunch.

Nowadays, children have high self-esteem and are in the rebellious period. He tried to persuade Lin Nanyan carefully and tactfully from another angle, trying to get him to maintain his past good habits, not skip classes, love to study, and help improve his deskmate's grades.

Chen Heng, who had no idea he was being blamed: ???

Lin Nanyan understood what the teacher meant, but he did not refute: "I understand, teacher."

Zhang Kuo nodded with satisfaction. The child was indeed less of a worry and his method was indeed effective.

Recalling something, he said, "Your dad is the same. He never comes to the parent-teacher conferences. Your dad called me and said that he neglected you before. He was so busy outside that he couldn't take care of his own children."

He patted Lin Nanyan's shoulder and said, "You're going to be a senior in high school soon. You have a lot of studying to do and a lot of work to do. Your dad still cares about you. He promised me that he would take good care of you in the future. He also told me to keep in touch with him and that he would definitely come to the next parent-teacher meeting."

Zhang Kuo originally thought that Lin Nanyan would be happy. After all, which child doesn't long for love from their parents?

But unexpectedly, after hearing his words, Lin Nanyan said without even a hint of emotion, "Thank you, teacher."

Watching the students walk away, Zhang Kuo touched his nose and laughed awkwardly, "Haha, kids nowadays really have personality."

The reaction was totally different from what he expected.

On the other side, Lin Nanyan walked out of the office slowly with a stack of chemistry papers and turned into the bathroom.

He looked up amid the sound of rushing water.

The mirror reflected a wet face, bloodshot eyes, and a look of boredom. Crystal clear water droplets slid down the boy's skin, leaving rugged water marks.

He scooped up some cold water and splashed it on his face. The chill made him very sober.

He was reminding him.

Lin Chongshan actually threatened him.

"Heh." A cold sneer came out of his mouth.

If Jiang Qing was present, she would be surprised to find that Lin Nanyan, who in her impression was a bit of a dog most of the time and acted like a good boy sometimes, actually had such a cold side.

“Beep—”

The phone rang for a long time before it was connected.

Lin Nanyan stared at himself in the mirror. His face was expressionless, but his voice rose, sounding a little happy. "Mom, when will you be back? My dad said that we haven't seen each other as a family in a long time, and he wants to get together."

There was a sound of something falling down and a woman's scolding from the other end of the phone. After a long while, it seemed that the situation had been resolved. The woman then continued into the phone: "Sorry, baby, what did you say? Say it again."

Lin Nanyan stared at the mirror and repeated in exactly the same tone: "Dad said he wanted us to get together as a family. When are you free, Mom?"

The last two words were stuck in her mouth and were mumbled vaguely, which sounded like she was acting coquettishly at first glance.

It was quiet over there for a long time.

Lin Yuke: "I'm sorry, baby. Mommy's been busy with work lately. I'm here to talk to your dad. Just take good care of yourself at school. I'll come to see you when I have time."

Lin Nanyan didn't even blink and agreed obediently: "Okay, I'll wait for you, Mom."

Lin Yuke: "Baby, bye."

Lin Nanyan: "Bye."

He put down his phone and was in no hurry to leave. He leaned casually to the side, tapping his fingertips on the sink.

Three, two, one, time's up.

“Ring, ring, ring—”

The shrill ringtone of the cell phone rang on time.

Lin Nanyan remained indifferent until the third ring rang to the end, then he casually answered the call.

Before he could say anything, a roar suddenly came from the other side.

"Are you fucking sick?! Why are you calling that bitch? Do you think I'm not a slut enough?"

"Didn't I tell you to be quiet, be quiet? Are you really trying to make me suffer or what?"

"What good will it do you to kill me?"

Lin Zhongshan gnashed his teeth in hatred, "Do you really have to take revenge on your father like this?! Speak."

Lin Nanyan listened quietly, occasionally lost in thought, his eyes looking across the ground to the shaking leaves outside the window.

It wasn't until the other party seemed to have finished venting that he came back to his senses and said calmly: "I remember I said before, leave me alone."

Lin Zhongshan's forehead was bulging with veins. He was shaking with anger and asked in disbelief, "Just because of this?"

"That's why you're going to do this to me!?"

Lin Nanyan said "hmm" lightly.

"Ha, ha," Lin Chongshan laughed out of anger. He said word by word, "Lin, Nan, Yan, you really are a good person with the surname Lin."

He said, "I really wish I had never given birth to you."

Lin Nanyan's fingertips suddenly clenched, "Why bother with ifs? You can just break up with me right now."

Lin Zhongshan sneered: "Oh, don't think I don't know what you are thinking. I tell you, dream on!"

"I worked so hard to raise you up, not to do business at a loss. One month, remember what you promised me."

Lin Nanyan lowered his eyes: "Then you must abide by the agreement, and -"

"As a man, you can't have children."

"Let's go to Thailand sometime."

Lin Zhongshan's anger was easily ignited again, "You son of a bitch, what the hell did you say—"

Before he could finish his words, Lin Nanyan had already hung up the phone, cutting off the other party's unfinished words.

The bell for class had been ringing for a long time, but he stood there indifferently, took out a tissue from the side, and slowly wiped his fingers one by one.

After crumpling up the used tissue and throwing it into the trash can, he looked up and stared at the corner of the mirror.

"Come out."

The bathroom was extremely quiet, as if Lin Nanyan was the only one there.

This place is very close to the teacher's office. Generally, students will not come here, and teachers are used to going to the bathroom at the front door of the office and will not turn here on purpose. Therefore, this bathroom is very deserted. Only cleaners or students who have been punished will clean it at fixed times.

This was a place Lin Nanyan had chosen on purpose. Although he saw traces of other people along the way, he looked away without caring.

He stared at the mirror and watched the person walk out.

A boy slowly came out from behind the door. He was wearing a gray shirt and black pants, carrying a backpack, and looked at him.

Lin Nanyan withdrew his gaze expressionlessly.

Don’t know.

The boy looked at Lin Nanyan and said, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop on you."

Lin Nanyan didn't respond.

He turned around and pulled out a tissue to wipe his wet phone.

The boy pretended not to see Lin Nanyan's cold reaction and said, "I promise, I won't tell anyone."

Lin Nanyan glanced at him and didn't care.

He didn't know the boy, so it didn't matter to him whether he heard it or not. Even if the boy told others, no one would believe it, especially Jiang Jiang.

As long as he denied it, Jiang Jiang would not doubt it.

Lin Nanyan threw away the used tissue, picked up the chemistry paper that was placed high up to prevent it from getting wet, and walked past the boy with his long legs.

The boy's hesitant voice sounded behind him: "Excuse me, do you... know Chen Heng?"

Lin Nanyan paused and turned around.

The boy pointed to the black stripes on the shoulders of his school uniform and said, "I heard that the sophomores' uniforms in your school have black stripes, the freshmen's are red, and the juniors' are blue. You're a sophomore, right?"

Lin Nanyan looked the boy up and down, finally landing on a pair of eyes that looked very similar to Chen Heng's. He asked, "What's your relationship with Chen Heng?"
