Last day
In the narrow room, a hand reached out to close the window, blocking the slightly moist wind to the other side of the glass, and water vapor smeared the window.
A boy was sitting at the table, his back straight and his slightly drooping hair covering his eyes. The cell phone on the table kept buzzing, but the boy seemed not to hear it, and the tip of his pen left ink marks on the paper.
And within these few short minutes, a communication group of Jiangyuan No. 3 Middle School was filled with the sound of messages beeping.
Li Liang just wrote down the clear characters one by one according to the order of the questions, quietly and silently.
The phone was so blinded by the messages that the screen didn't even have time to turn off, and it remained blindingly bright.
The bedroom was very quiet until there was a rough knock on the door, almost breaking it open.
The tip of the pen drew a long crack on the snow-white paper. Li Liang leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes.
Throwing the pen on the table, he stood up and opened the door.
Caught off guard by the boy who was looking at him expressionlessly, Li Mingcheng's hand that was knocking on the door stopped in mid-air. His angry expression lingered in the air for a moment, and he couldn't even swing his hand to slap.
Li Liang's eyes swept across Li Mingcheng's raised right hand. He stared at Li Mingcheng coldly, said nothing, and passed by him.
Looking at Li Liang's arrogant back, Li Mingcheng exploded instantly, as if adding fuel to the fire.
"stop!"
He breathed heavily, strode forward, pulled Li Liang over, and grabbed his arm tightly, forcing the boy to turn around.
"What the hell did you do at school? The phone calls are all coming to me!"
"I'm telling you, whatever rubbish you've done, I'll cover it up for you. I don't care what you did out there. Now that you've been caught, you have to apologize to them. Even if you have to beg on your knees, I'm going to put this behind you!"
He was so fed up with this damn terrible day, and Li Liang came up to make things worse. He was really fed up!
The man's hands became stronger and stronger. Li Liang lowered his head and could feel the severe pain in his arm.
"I'm warning you!" Li Mingcheng's breathing was heavy, and bloodshot eyes were spreading. "I don't have money for you to transfer schools, nor do I have money for you to squander."
Li Liang slowly raised his head.
"You little bastard, who taught you to look at me gloomily every day?"
Li Mingcheng raised his hands and shouted angrily: "Why are you glaring at me? If you glare at me again, I'll beat you to death! I didn't pay your tuition for you to waste it."
"Did you pay my tuition?" Li Liang spoke slowly and clearly, but his words pierced Li Mingcheng's heart like a needle.
He flew into a rage, his face flushed instantly, and he slapped her hard.
With a "pop" sound, the smell of blood filled Li Liang's mouth, but he didn't move at all. He stared at Li Mingcheng and suddenly sneered.
"I guess," he said, "you don't know what happened yesterday."
The flesh on Li Mingcheng's cheeks was trembling. He had a bad premonition because of Li Liang's eyes that were as bright as a sharp blade and the boy's abnormal questions.
"What?"
Li Liang lifted Li Mingcheng's fingers one by one, grinding each word in his mouth, "Do you know Jiang Qing?"
Li Mingcheng looked confused, wondering why Li Liang mentioned a stranger's name at this moment.
Li Liang took a step forward and said, "She almost died yesterday."
Li Mingcheng's heart beat uncontrollably and he stepped back unconsciously.
"Do you know why?" He leaned close to Li Mingcheng's ear, tilted his head slightly, and whispered, "Because her father killed someone, and that person's son wants to take revenge on her."
"I brought a knife and wanted to stab it."
“Puff—”
Li Mingcheng was startled and almost jumped up.
Li Liang looked at him and smiled. He pulled out the fork that had been stuck in the tomato and held it up. "White knife in, red knife out."
The bright red juice flowed along the metal surface, and Li Mingcheng's eyes were filled with red.
He swung his hand suddenly, and with a "bang", the fork and the tomato were swept to the ground.
"What? Are you trying to scare me?" Li Mingcheng's voice was loud, echoing throughout the room. "I wasn't raised to be scared."
Li Liang stood up and turned around.
Li Mingcheng was furious and swore that if he didn't beat Li Liang until he surrendered, he would not be worthy of being his father.
Just as he was about to recapture the person, he saw half of Li Liang's face hidden in the darkness. The boy turned his head slightly, without turning back, "I forgot to mention, Jiang Qing's father seems to be called Jiang Chengping."
After saying this, Li Liang closed the door behind him, blocking out the loud noise caused by the glass suddenly hitting the door panel.
Inside the door, Li Mingcheng fell to the ground exhausted, staring blankly at the broken glass on the ground, his facial muscles trembling constantly, and cold sweat on his back.
Jiang... Jiang Chengping!
How could it be him?
Walking on the street in the community, Li Liang saw people around him looking at him vaguely. He smiled, just like every time he went out. However, this time no one greeted him.
Someone met his gaze and was about to greet him with a smile, but just as he raised his hand with a smile on his face, he was dragged away by the person next to him in a daze.
Li Liang smiled as he stepped on flyer after flyer.
"What are you doing? I'm just saying hello to Xiao Liang. It's rude to pull someone away halfway."
"Why are you being polite? You're really behind the times."
My friend asked, bewildered: “What?”
The boy picked up a flyer from the ground and handed it to his friend. "Here, it's everywhere."
"Hiss—" The friend was caught off guard by the revelations, "Is this true or not? I can't tell."
The boy put his arm on his friend's shoulder and kindly advised: "You two aren't that close anyway, so no matter if he's real or not, it's better to stay away from him."
After saying this, he turned to look at Li Liang who had disappeared at the gate of the community, and sighed, "I have to say, what he did was quite shady."
Li Liang walked straight to the bus stop, got on a green bus and sat by the window. His eyes swept out the window without focus.
Thirty minutes later, he got off the bus and went into a cafe.
“Ring, ring, ring—”
The pleasant sound of wind chimes rang out and someone's footsteps approached. Li Liang sat there without looking back.
"Nothing to say?"
The phone made a crisp sound when it was thrown on the table, and the lit screen was still flooded with countless messages.
Li Liang then withdrew his gaze from the window, not reading the chaotic news. He met Feng Yaxuan's gaze and said, "There's nothing much to say."
Feng Yaxuan smiled, as if mocking her, "I thought you could handle it."
Li Liang leaned over and pushed a cup of sea salt caramel latte over. "Half a spoonful of syrup should be just right."
Feng Yaxuan looked at the coffee in her hand, her eyes flickering. She raised her hand and took a sip.
The complex and perfect taste was unforgettable, but she only took one sip.
Feng Yaxuan looked at the boy's slightly red face and asked, "Did you lose?"
Li Liang lowered his eyes: "I don't know."
Feng Yaxuan stood up and looked down at him, "But I think you lose."
She raised her hand, and the whole cup of coffee dripped from the boy's head. Li Liang did not dodge, as if he had expected it, and let the sticky liquid wet his hair and clothes.
The cup collided with the tray, making a slight sound, and Feng Yaxuan turned and left.
She said she doesn't like losing.
I treat myself like this and I treat Li Liang like this too.
With a slight movement of his fingers, he deleted all of Li Liang's contact information.
Feng Yaxuan didn't care how Li Liang made her notice him in the first place.
Now, it's all over.
Everything that happened after that had nothing to do with her anymore.
When Feng Yaxuan paid the bill and was about to leave, she glanced at the boy through the window. He was sitting there with a calm expression, as if he had accepted everything calmly.
Whether things can eventually develop into the result Li Liang wants is his own business.
Feng Yaxuan took another step forward, and this time she didn't look back.
Li Liang ignored the strange looks from the people around him and looked at his fingers which were slightly stained with sticky coffee.
After a long time, he moved.
I opened my mouth and took a sip. It had a caramel flavor, the familiar taste.
For Li Liang, it was too sweet.
A smile appeared on the boy's lips.
Did he lose?
not necessarily.

Jiang Qing waited for a long time before she got news from Song Yao.
[Song Yao: It's spread everywhere]
Jiang Qing couldn't help it and called Song Yao.
As soon as the other end picked up the phone, without waiting for anyone to speak, she asked first: "Do you know that this has legal risks?"
"I know," Song Yao smiled sweetly, even her voice was cheerful, "But, Jiang Jiang, do you know what? I'm really happy!"
"I'm really, really, really happy!"
She used three super words in a row to emphasize her feelings.
Jiang Qing was silent for a moment across the phone, then raised her voice again, regaining her energy.
"Congratulations, the sky is clearing up now."
On the rooftop, Song Yao looked into the distance, tears welling up in her eyes again unconsciously. She quickly reached out to wipe them away and responded heavily.
"The flyers were distributed by Zhang Chao, and the content in the campus group was uploaded by He Feipeng through an external group. It went through several hands before reaching the No. 3 Middle School group. You don't have to worry."
She tried to suppress her nasal voice and said, "Thank you, Jiang Jiang."
"Thank you for letting me decide what to do."
Jiang Qing couldn't help but sniff. "Really, Song Yao, you're super brave. The person you should thank the most is yourself."
Thank you for your courage, thank you for not giving up, thank you for finally being willing to expose your own scars and fight back.
Thank you for being able to stand up after falling, and thank you for having a strong heart that is not afraid of rumors.
Song Yao looked up, trying to let the tears flow back.
"Want to have dinner together next week?" Jiang Qing tempted him. "I'll treat you to my dad's secret barbecue. It's so delicious that your tongue will fall out. It's the only place you can find here."
Song Yao burst into laughter and said, "Okay, I will definitely go."
After hanging up the phone, the scene in front of her was blurry.
The weather was gloomy, and the color of the clouds gradually turned into ink, falling slowly like drizzle.
It's another rainy day.
Song Yao stood on tiptoe and beat the rhythm in her heart.
One, two, three, four, lift, kick, turn, hook...
Her movements became faster and more powerful, and her spinning skirt bloomed into layers of petals in the rain.
Waving his hands, stepping and turning over, and jumping to the ground, every movement unfolds like flowing water without a trace of stagnation.
The drizzle is like beads, dotted on the girl's hair.
The elf in the rain jumped high, her eyelashes wet with tears, and finally looked back and smiled.
No one can see it, but it is enough to amaze the time.
On the other side, Jiang Qing hung up the phone, stood in the corridor for a long time, and then turned back to the ward.
The first thing she noticed when she entered the room was that there seemed to be fewer people. She looked around and asked, "Where's Lin Nanyan?"
"He received a phone call," Chen Heng handed a whole fresh walnut to Jiang Qing, "He said he had something to do and left first."
"Thank you," Jiang Qing took it with a smile. "You're amazing for peeling it so completely."
As soon as she put the fresh walnut in her mouth, she suddenly froze when she thought of something.
Chen Heng, who was preparing to crack the second whole walnut, noticed the girl's abnormality and asked, "What's wrong?"
Jiang Qing turned around and asked, "What day is it today?"
"June 5th." Chen Heng replied, confused.
Jiang Qing was stunned. This was the day before the 2015 college entrance examination, and also the last day she saw Lin Nanyan nine years ago.
