Jian Yunxi and her classmates have a total of five final exams in their major, plus a paper writing course. At the end of the elective courses, they basically have to submit a summary or take an open-book exam.
Jurisprudence, History of Chinese Legal System, Constitution, English, Mathematics for Liberal Arts, and Physical Education have different examination times depending on the courses chosen.
For the students in Dormitory 307 who love learning, these are not a problem. They just need to work harder if they want to get the scholarship.
There was no more work to do at the Legal Aid Association, so Jian Yunxi concentrated on preparing for the exam. Sun Qimiao and Guo Xinyue also finished their work at the Student Union and joined the library to review.
In order to improve the review efficiency, Dormitory 307 has formulated a detailed review plan.
The seats in the library are divided into different groups, with one person taking one seat for one day, so that others can sleep a little longer in the morning.
Early in the morning, when his roommates were still sleeping, Jian Yunxi got up quietly and went to the library to reserve a seat.
The winter in Beijing was too cold. Jian Yunxi wrapped his hat and scarf tightly and stamped his feet constantly. Finally, the library opened.
She followed the group into the library, took a good seat, sent messages to each of them, and then calmed down to review.
The library was filled with a faint scent of ink. Jian Yunxi found a seat by the window and sat down. He opened the jurisprudence textbook and recited to himself in a low voice while writing down the key points in his notebook.
The cold January wind was blowing tiny snowflakes, and when Jian Yunxi came out of the examination room carrying her schoolbag, the sky was a gray-blue color.
The two-week final exam was finally over. Jian Yunxi took a deep breath, and the cold air rushed into his lungs, bringing with it a sense of freedom.
"Finally free!" Guo Xinyue caught up from behind and hugged Jian Yunxi's shoulders: "I recited until three o'clock last night, and now everything is blurry."
Huang Miao trotted after them: "Hey, you have long legs, what a great achievement! Why don't you wait for me?"
Jian Yunxi and Guo Xinyue laughed loudly. Sun Qimiao picked up the hat on Huang Miao's down jacket and said, "Let's go!"
A few people returned to the dormitory laughing and joking.
After returning to the dormitory, Sun Qimiao and Guo Xinyue immediately entered a "wartime state".
Sun Qimiao poured all the clothes in the closet onto the bed, folded them quickly and stuffed them into the suitcase like a professional organizer.
Guo Xinyue carefully surrounded the entire bed with plastic wrap, and did the same with Jian Yunxi's bed.
"Yunxi, when are you leaving?" Sun Qimiao asked without even looking up, struggling with a stubborn sweater.
"The train is at 10 o'clock tonight." Jian Yunxi dragged out the suitcase that had been packed long ago. There were several colorful luggage stickers on it - they were bought when he and Lu Yang were traveling in Qingdao.
Guo Xinyue looked up and said, "Just one box? Why is it like I'm moving house when I get home!"
"I don't have much stuff." Jian Yunxi smiled and continued to scan to check if there was anything he forgot to bring.
At four o'clock in the afternoon, Guo Xinyue's father arrived on time.
Jian Yunxi helped her carry the last piece of luggage into the car. Mr. Guo enthusiastically invited her to have dinner with him, but she declined.
Sun Qimiao had originally planned to take the bus home, but now he decided to hitchhike to the subway station, which was more convenient and faster. Before leaving, he hugged Jian Yunxi tightly and said, "Happy New Year, remember to report safety in the group!"
The dormitory suddenly became quiet, with only the sound of Huang Miao typing on the keyboard.
Jian Yunxi sat on the edge of the bed, watching the sky gradually darken outside the window.
The phone screen lit up, with a message from Lu Yang:
"Yunxi, Senior has something urgent to do here. I can't take you there. I'm sorry."
Jian Yunxi stared at the message for a few seconds, his fingers gently stroking the screen. He didn't know if it was because of the cold weather or because of the feeling of parting, but Jian Yunxi suddenly felt a sense of grievance.
"It's okay, just go do your thing." After replying the message, she looked at the time. It was almost six o'clock. It would take about an hour for her to take the bus from here, transfer to the subway, and then get to the train station. It was time to leave.
"Miaozi, what time are you leaving tomorrow?" Huang Miao said she was going back with a friend of her mother.
"It should be around nine o'clock. Auntie said it would take her more than an hour to drive here." Huang Miao turned his gaze from the computer screen and saw Jian Yunxi pulling up the suitcase.
"Yunxi, are you leaving?"
"Well, it's snowing. It's better to go to the station early to be safe." Jian Yunxi adjusted the shoulder straps of his backpack again. "Then I'm leaving. Miaozi, you should be careful tomorrow too."
Walking out of the dormitory building, the street lights on campus were already on. The wheels of Jian Yunxi's suitcase made regular sounds on the cobblestone road, and the snow squeaked under his feet.
There were students like her dragging suitcases in groups of three or four on campus, so she was not alone.
Jian Yunxi bought a cup of hot afternoon tea from the vending machine at the subway entrance and sat in the waiting area, waiting patiently.
"Is there anyone sitting next to you?"
This sound!
"Lu Yang!" Jian Yunxi was surprised and happy. The person who had just said he didn't have time not long ago actually showed up now.
"Aren't you going to the school company?"
"Because my girlfriend is in a bad mood, I have to comfort her."
He read every message from Jian Yunxi carefully. When he saw that the wavy lines and expressions that he usually added were missing from the messages, Lu Yang knew that Jian Yunxi was in a bad mood.
And it's a rare little emotion.
Lu Yang was very happy. He liked the little emotions that Jian Yunxi showed, which also proved that Jian Yunxi cared about him.
"Nonsense, you're the one who's throwing a tantrum!" Jian Yunxi's cheeks flushed, and she stomped her feet in retort, her fingertips unconsciously clenching the corner of her clothes.
