Chapter 112 Class Reunion

Jian Yunxi curled up on the upper bunk, her fingertips repeatedly stroking the edge of the ticket. This was her first time sitting in a sleeper alone.

Although the lower bunk was spacious, she chose the more private upper bunk for safety reasons.

Just as I put my luggage away, my cell phone screen suddenly lit up. It was a message from Lu Yang.

Her fingers danced lightly on the keys. "I have found my bed."

Soon, a new message alert sounded: "Okay, be sure to stay safe. Yunxi, I miss you as soon as we separated."

Jian Yunxi's lips curled up unconsciously, and his fingertips tapped quickly: "Tsk, you're so slick."

The winter vacation at Kyoto University comes later than that of other schools, but the high school class groups are still very lively.

The former class monitor Song Xing was trying his best to mobilize his classmates for a reunion, and group messages kept pouring out like a tide.

Stars Light Up: The teacher said that everyone who can come should try to come.

Salala: You must go, comrades. I miss you so much.

The dream of youth: Don’t worry, the stars will arrive on time.

It’s a Cloud, Not a Moon: Count me in, I’m on vacation too.

She leaned against the pillow, the warm light from the phone screen shining on her face, and before she knew it, she was becoming more and more excited during the chat.

When she glanced at the time on the upper right corner of her phone, it was almost one in the morning. She sighed heavily, forced herself to put down the phone, and closed her eyes.

More than four hours later, Jian Yunxi woke up amid the noisy voices, his head dizzy and his body limp.

She followed the crowd out of the carriage. The station was crowded with people, and the noise and broadcasting were intertwined. Jian Yunxi stood on tiptoe and looked around, and saw Comrade Jian Feng standing at the exit.

"Dad, Dad." Jian Yunxi dragged her suitcase and ran towards her father like a bird returning to its nest. She hadn't seen her father for half a year, and it seemed that her father looked even thinner than what she saw in the video.

"Xixi, give me your stuff." Comrade Jian Feng took over Jian Yunxi's luggage. He accidentally touched Jian Yunxi's hand, and the slightly cool touch made him frown slightly, "Why are you wearing so little? Are you cold?"

"It's not cold. I'm almost dressed like a ball."

Jian Feng couldn't help but laugh when he saw his daughter wearing the chubby clothes.

The father and daughter walked out of the station side by side. The winter sun shone on their bodies, but they were still a little chilly.

Jian Feng opened the car door and put the luggage into the trunk.

On the way home in the car, Jian Yunxi excitedly recounted the interesting things that happened at school, and her father nodded in response from time to time. The father and daughter had a very happy chat.

When I got home and opened the door, a familiar smell hit me.

"Xixi is back!" Ms. Li Meiling came out of the kitchen wearing an apron. "I'm steaming your favorite dumplings for you. Your dad made them last night. Wash your hands and get ready to eat. Leave the food there and I'll put it away later."

"Mom, I miss you so much." Jian Yunxi hugged Li Meiling tightly.

"Kid, my hands are full of noodles." Although she said with disgust, Li Meiling still grinned.

Jian Yunxi walked into the bedroom and saw that her sister was still sleeping. Is it so late for high school morning self-study now? It’s almost six o’clock.

"Sister, get up!" She whispered in Jian Yunxiao's ear.

"Hmm?" Jian Yunxiao rubbed his eyes and sat up, his eyes suddenly widened, "Sister, you're back!"

Jian Yunxi was so happy eating the handmade dumplings. She had had enough of the big meat buns in the cafeteria.

"Sister, how come the food at home has improved since you came back?" Jian Yunfang's words made Li Meiling slap him several times.

"You little brat, you just talk nonsense!"

Jian Yunxi looked at this scene, wow, the atmosphere of home was everywhere.

At this moment, the phone rang. It was Song Xing who posted the specific time and place of the party in the class group.

Just as Jian Yunxi was about to reply, another message popped up from Lu Yang: "Are you home yet? Did you miss me?"

She slapped her head and thought, oh no, she was too excited and completely forgot what Lu Yang said, "Tell him when you get home."

She quickly replied, "I was just about to tell you when I got there, but then I passed out from the smell of the dumplings my parents made."

"So, in your heart, I am not as important as Xiao Long Bao?"

"No, you are much heavier than the dumplings."

“Sad.”

"Don't do that. If your heart is hurt, I'll just blow it for you."

It's just smooth talk, she can do that too!

On the day of the class reunion, Jian Yunxi wore a long, bright red down jacket, which her mother had bought specifically for the New Year. Each of her three siblings got one.

The party was held at a "Shunfeng Mutton Restaurant" in the town. Considering that the teacher had to go back to school for classes after dinner, we deliberately chose a place close to the school.

As soon as I opened the door, a hot air mixed with the aroma of mutton soup hit me in the face, "Yunxi! Here!" Chen Shasha's voice came from the corner. She was wearing a white coat and waving enthusiastically. Song Xing was also waving frantically from the side.

"Shasha, Xingxing, why are you here so early?"

The good sisters held hands and told each other how much they missed each other, "Mengmeng hasn't come yet?"

"Don't mention it, she called and said her electric bike had a puncture and she's repairing it!"

"I'm dizzy. I have to comfort her when I get back. What luck."

Jian Yunxi estimated that more than twenty classmates had come.

Song Xing looked disappointed: "It seems that my appeal as a squad leader is not good enough!"

"Don't say that. Some students just don't like this kind of occasion and there's nothing we can do about it."

This was what happened to Jian Yunxi in her previous life. She felt that she had disappointed her teacher with her college entrance examination application, so she didn't dare to meet him again. Until now, the guilt still haunts her.

Several boys gathered around, and one of them joked, "Jian Yunxi, I heard that the classes at Beijing University are very difficult. Do you stay up late every day to study?"
