Chapter 20: Encounter at the Temple Fair

When Lu Yang and his parents got home, he went back to his room to read. Mother Lu looked at her son's back and felt worried.

"Old Lu, did you see the look in our son's eyes?" Mother Lu was disgusted with her son for not living up to his expectations and not being able to hide his thoughts.

"Don't be anxious, things may not be what you think." Father Lu actually felt that he was too straightforward in judging girls, but he couldn't say it out loud.

"Last time, my homeroom teacher called me to school and said that she found Yangyang had drawn a girl with a ponytail in her exercise book."

Mother Lu felt ashamed whenever she thought of that incident. Although she could not interfere with her son's freedom to make friends, her son's best friend turned out to be that brat Yu Guanghui.

"Old Lu, you know, that brat Yu Guanghui has been in love for three years, and his mother can't do anything about it."

"Everyone should mind their own business. Why do you worry about others?" Father Lu knew his wife. She was usually gentle, but would become impatient when it came to her son's affairs. She was too concerned and became chaotic.

"He wrote a letter to Yangyang last time. It contained several thousand words of tips on how to court girls and how to fall in love."

Whenever Lu's mother thought about it, she got angry, and Yu Guanghui's mother kept apologizing to her.

"I asked her why she didn't try to stop her son from dating. Guess what she answered me?"

Mr. Lu has been working in another place and only comes home for a few days during the Chinese New Year, so he is not aware of this matter.

"She said that anyway, the boy's love affair didn't affect his studies. Besides, he was a man of tact and knew what to do and what not to do."

Mother Lu couldn't help but admire the other mother's foresight. "She also said that her child would be far away from home when he goes to college. If he meets someone from another place who she doesn't know well, there will be no friendship between them since they grew up together. Besides, she also thinks that girl is nice and they get along well."

"I think we get along well with that little girl." Mother Lu sighed. Her son never liked to talk about his thoughts since he was little. Although she paid attention to every detail, she always felt that the older her son got, the more he had his own ideas.

"You're overthinking it. My son won't take a single step forward before the college entrance exam."

Father Lu patted Mother Lu's hand comfortingly. Although he didn't communicate much with his son, he knew his son's temper very well. Although he looked at the girl with passionate eyes, he was very calm and restrained.

"How do you know? I see that his heart and eyes are full of that girl."

In fact, after talking with Jian Yunxi, Lu's mother also liked this girl. She was sincere, did things in a generous manner, and her upbringing and conversation were likable, but the timing was wrong.

"Otherwise, let's make a bet and see when our son can bring a girl home."

Father Lu has great faith in his son. He believes that Lu Yang can wait until he finishes his studies.
