Chapter 26 Don't punish yourself with other people's mistakes

"Ding Ling Ling" the class bell rang. Jian Yunxi looked back at Lu Yang, opened his mouth to say something, but then closed it again. Chen Shasha was also unusually silent.

"I'm going back to class. Thank you for today."

Lu Yang looked at Jian Yunxi's back as she walked back to the classroom, his clenched fists still shaking slightly. For the first time, an emotion called "heartache" surged in Lu Yang's heart. This emotion spread in his chest, feeling sour and bitter.

The Chinese teacher was at the podium, holding an open textbook in her hand, her eyes sweeping over every student in the classroom. Her voice was gentle but powerful as she explained an ancient Chinese article, with deep literary heritage in every word.

Jian Yunxi sat in her seat, holding a pen in her hand, taking notes seriously, but her thoughts couldn't help but drift to the scene that just happened in the corridor. Lu Yang's figure blocking her, his cold eyes, and the words "Try to touch her if you dare" seemed to still echo in her ears.

A strong feeling also surged in Jian Yunxi's heart, called "trust".

Chen Shasha bit the pen, immersed in her own thoughts. She felt strange inside. When she saw Lu Yang protecting Jian Yunxi, she felt very uncomfortable. She felt that she was "jealous" of her friend for the first time.

After class, Chen Shasha rarely looked for Jian Yunxi to chat. Jian Yunxi felt strange but did not think about it because Li Ping actually came to see her.

"Jian Yunxi, thank you for speaking for me." Li Ping didn't even dare to look up at Jian Yunxi. She had been having a very hard time during this period. Everyone who knew her blamed her. Her mother cursed her at home every day, and her father had beaten her many times since the incident. She felt that no one treated her as a human being now. She was like a piece of rag, with holes all over her body and heart.

Jian Yunxi looked at Li Ping. She noticed that Li Ping was in a very bad state. "Li Ping, look at me!"

Jian Yunxi's voice was not loud but full of power. Li Ping looked up and saw Jian Yunxi's jade-white face and her firm expression. "Li Ping, don't punish yourself with other people's mistakes."

Li Ping also knew that she couldn't stop anyone from talking. "If I say that man didn't do anything to me, do you believe me?" Li Ping went to Wenzhou Railway Station and didn't see the so-called male netizen. She found an Internet cafe near the railway station and asked the man why he didn't keep his promise. The man said a lot of sweet words and then coaxed her to go to a hotel to get a room and told him the room number.

Li Ping believed it and went to the hotel in a daze. The lady at the front desk saw that her ID card showed she had just reached adulthood and asked her what she was doing there. She said she was there to meet a friend, and the lady at the front desk became alert.

When the male netizen walked into the hotel, the lady at the front desk asked him for his room number. He stammered and guiltily gave out the same room number as Li Ping. The lady at the front desk saw that he looked quite old and did not look like the friend that Li Ping had mentioned, so she called the police.

When the police rushed into the room, Li Ping's clothes were almost stripped off by the man. Fortunately, no actual harm occurred, but Li Ping was left with deep scars in her heart.

She thought the male netizen was funny and handsome, saying sweet words one after another, but in fact he was vulgar and greasy. When he leaned over to kiss Li Ping, Li Ping could smell his breath. Li Ping kept resisting, and the man kissed her and touched her all over. Li Ping wanted to vomit but couldn't push him away. When she was desperate, the police came and saved her.

In the police station, Li Ping refused to eat or drink and lost hope of living. She felt so dirty and her body smelled of the wretched man's saliva. When the police finally contacted her father, Li Ping thought her father could comfort her.

Unexpectedly, her father rushed in and slapped her, cursing her. Several policemen surrounded her and stopped her father from taking any further action. A female police officer explained to her father, "The child has not suffered any substantial harm, but I suggest you find a psychologist for her. She is showing signs of suicide and has suffered great psychological damage."

Unexpectedly, her father cursed, "You debt collector, you eat and drink my food every day and still cause trouble for me, and you want to commit suicide, then why don't you just die, then I won't be ashamed if I die!"

Li Ping was severely shocked by what her father said. She pushed a policeman away and was about to bang her head against the wall. Fortunately, the policemen were well-trained and immediately pulled her back when they saw that something was wrong.

The police station hired a psychologist to help her with psychological counseling. Her father was busy with the lawsuit. The man was charged with attempted rape, so criminal punishment was inevitable. However, he still spoke wildly to the police, "She seduced me. Otherwise, why would she come here on her own? Doesn't that mean she just gave in to me?"

After Li Ping returned home, her mother's face was distorted. When she couldn't find her daughter, she cried and screamed, "As long as she can come back alive!" When she came back alive, her mother cursed again, "Why did you come back? You might as well die outside!"

Li Ping narrated her own story as if she was telling someone else's story, her tone calm, "I don't know why I'm alive!" She smiled self-deprecatingly.

“In the past, everyone envied my parents for loving me and being willing to spend money on me,” Li Ping couldn’t tell, had her parents changed?

Jian Yunxi really wanted to say "the deeper the love, the more severe the criticism", but she knew that Li Ping couldn't ignore it at this moment. She just needed an outlet and didn't need anyone else's comfort.

"Jian Yunxi, I really want to say thank you to you. Thank you for speaking up for a stranger like me." After saying that, she went back to the classroom without looking back.

Jian Yunxi found that Li Ping's back seemed to be a little straighter than before, and her head was raised. She thought Li Ping should be able to walk out, and she believed she could.
