Chapter 102 Aunt Liu Chunling

Upon hearing this, Liu Yanran's parents exchanged a glance. Their gazes met, and they instantly understood the unconcealed worry in each other's eyes. At this moment, a gloomy, oppressive atmosphere enveloped the entire room.

Liu Yanran was acutely aware of all this, and her heart sank. Her intuition told her that her aunt's return was more than simply a matter of longing. As time passed, the atmosphere in the house remained as heavy as a leaden cloud. Liu Chunxiang's interactions with the children grew noticeably stiff and distant, each word and gesture revealing an unspoken awkwardness.

Liu Yanran was filled with confusion, countless questions swirling in her mind. But at the same time, she knew that many problems in life couldn't be solved overnight. Perhaps only with sufficient patience and time could the truth gradually surface and resolve the current dilemma. So, she quietly chose to wait, hoping for the moment when the mystery would be revealed.

However, no matter how you judge this matter, Liu Chunling is Liu Chunping's biological sister after all! They are a family with blood ties and flesh and blood!

Because of this, the kindhearted Cao Cuilan meticulously furnished a room for Liu Chunling and the children. Fortunately, the brilliant Liu Yanran had already purchased the neighboring house and renovated it. Otherwise, the limited space would have been inadequate to meet everyone's needs.

The next morning, at dawn, the sky was turning pale in the east. Liu Yanran and the other children wandered out of their rooms as usual. After all, tomorrow was Liu Guoxing and Deng Wanjun's wedding! Although they had already held a grand and bustling ceremony in the capital, officially becoming husband and wife, Deng Wanjun couldn't help but feel a tinge of nervousness and apprehension about the upcoming banquet.

She was deeply afraid that she would make a stupid mistake at a crucial moment and become a laughing stock. Especially now that an aunt she had never met, Liu Chunling, had suddenly appeared out of nowhere, it undoubtedly made her feel like a thorn in her side, making her feel uneasy and unable to calm down.

At noon, Cao Cuilan was busy in the kitchen, preparing a sumptuous lunch for Liu Chunling and her two children. She had married late, and her children, aged 16 and 14, were still in school and had just had a school holiday.

Cao Cuilan served delicious dishes to the table, including braised pork, sweet and sour pork ribs, steamed fish, stir-fried vegetables, and more, all of which the children loved. Liu Chunling and the children were very happy to see such a sumptuous lunch and kept praising Cao Cuilan's cooking skills.

Everyone gathered around the table and began to enjoy lunch. The children ate with gusto, and Cao Cuilan kept serving them more food, encouraging them to eat more. Liu Chunling also chatted with Cao Cuilan about family matters and asked about her life.

After lunch, the children helped clear the table, while Cao Cuilan brought out fruit and snacks for everyone to enjoy. Everyone enjoyed the fruit and chatted, creating a harmonious atmosphere.

But she was also worried. Liu Chunling was 5 years younger than Liu Chunping, but when Cao Cuilan married, Liu Chunling was still young. Basically, she was both a sister-in-law and a mother, so she thought she knew her sister very well. She would not come here for no reason, and she must have come back for something. Moreover, looking at her current food, clothing and other expenses, it seemed that she was not so satisfied. Cao Cuilan was also feeling uncomfortable.

At first, she did not agree with Liu Chunling marrying someone from another place. They were so far away, and if there were any conflicts, she and Liu Chunping would be unable to help. But this sister was determined to climb up the social ladder and follow that rich man. She really couldn't persuade her and could only hope that she could live a good life. But now it seems that things are not going as planned.

At night, she told Liu Chunping about this. Liu Chunping couldn't guess what his sister was thinking. After all, he cared less about her than he did about his own wife. "Forget it. The wedding banquet for our two children is tomorrow. We can talk about it after tomorrow!" After saying that, she fell asleep. After a while, she started snoring. Cao Cuilan simply stopped thinking about it and fell asleep.
