Chapter 42: Received, Received, Received All

After Yuan Chengzhi and Su Yi had sex, they put on their clothes and prepared to go out to make some arrangements for their son's connections. Liu Yanran followed him curiously, and saw him walk around and around to the Yuan family's ancestral hall. Then, he reached out and pressed one of the tablets. Only to hear a slight noise, and a dark room suddenly appeared before them.

Liu Yanran's eyes widened in surprise. She had never thought that the Yuan family had such a secret passage. She followed Yuan Chengzhi into the darkroom, her heart filled with curiosity. As Yuan Chengzhi turned on the light switch, the scene before her shocked Liu Yanran - a huge basement appeared before her, filled with densely packed boxes, the number of which was staggering.

Liu Yanran roughly counted and found that there were at least more than a hundred boxes here, and each box seemed heavy.

Yuan Chengzhi opened the first box and saw that it was filled with brand new "Great Unity", exuding an alluring aroma. He opened the second box and found that it was full of glittering small yellow croakers, the number of which was astonishing. Then, he opened the third box and found all kinds of jewellery, which were dazzling.

Yuan Chengzhi picked up a bag next to him, took some things out of each box and put them in, then walked out of the room with satisfaction.

Meanwhile, Liu Yanran looked at these treasures and pondered secretly. She felt that instead of letting Yuan Chengzhi use the money to support someone else's prodigal son, it would be better for her to take it all and use it to do good deeds. So, she made up her mind to collect all the treasures into her own space and then quietly left, just as she had quietly arrived.
