Chapter 10 Who knew he was the king
In that short time, Gu Siqing thought a lot. She thought about going out and calling for help. When children fight, adults will rush over and disperse. But what if they are taken to the police station by adults?
In the 1980s, there were people wearing red armbands checking everywhere.
If she went to the police station, she might get a criminal record, which would affect her whole life. So, she decided to help fight herself. At most, she would get hit a few times, which was no big deal.
Thinking of this, she bent down, picked up a brick and walked over proudly?
Before he got close, he saw Han Zhengping lean forward and knocked a kid who was half a head taller than him to the ground. Then he swung a brick and hit the kid hard on the thigh. The kid screamed in pain.
But Han Zhengping did not give up. He pressed his knee on his chest, pinched his neck with one hand, and raised the brick high with the other hand, as if to hit him on the head.
The other guys were so frightened that they just stood there in shock. When they usually fought, they would just push and shove each other, or throw a few punches and kicks, nothing like this pretty boy, who fought with all his might.
"I give up! I give up!!" the boy who was pinned to the ground shouted. He had to give up. This pretty boy was so ferocious in fighting, like a wolf.
Seeing him begging for mercy, Han Zhengping let go of him and stood up, saying in a faint voice: "Get out!"
The boys immediately ran away. They thought the pretty boy was a weakling, but who knew he was actually a king.
Gu Siqing was relieved to see the person running away. In fact, she was quite afraid of pain.
Han Zhengping walked over, reached out and took the brick from her hand and threw it away. "You're quite brave." He smiled and returned to his usual gentle demeanor. Gu Siqing even suspected that he was schizophrenic.
"Actually, my hands and feet were shaking just now." Gu Siqing shook exaggeratedly, causing Han Zhengping to laugh. "Why are you here?"
"I just learned how to ride a bike, so I came here for a spin." Gu Siqing made up a lie.
Han Zhengping smiled and touched her head. The hair was soft and comfortable to touch, so he touched it twice more.
Gu Siqing had tied her hair up herself today. It was already loose, and after he pulled it twice, it became even looser. She raised her hand and hit his hand, "You messed up my hair."
Han Zhengping chuckled, "You call this a hairstyle?" The ponytail was so loose that it was almost out of place, and the hair on both sides of the cheeks was messy, but it was quite cute.
Gu Siqing glared at him, thinking he was really ungrateful. She had just wanted to help him fight.
Seeing that she was about to get upset, Han Zhengping smiled and took off her loose ponytail, and quickly tied it up again. After finishing, he looked at his work and thought that although it was a little crooked, it was not bad overall.
"I'm making amends to you."
Gu Siqing touched her hair and felt okay. She followed him to the alley entrance. Seeing the big 28-inch bicycle, Han Zhengping asked, "How did you ride here?"
Gu Siqing: "Can you not ask this question?"
Han Zhengping saw that she looked like she had lost all hope in life, so he patted her head again. Why hadn't he noticed that Xiao Si was so cute before? "Let's go, I'll take you home."
"Aren't you going to class?" Gu Siqing asked.
"I've asked for leave." Han Zhengping lifted his legs and rode on the bicycle, supporting one leg on the ground, and leaned sideways to let her sit in front.
Gu Siqing chose to sit in the back, as sitting on the beam would have been too rough on her butt. As she climbed onto the back seat, Han Zhengping reminded her, "Don't put your feet in the wheels."
Gu Siqing hummed, then sighed inwardly. She couldn't come to town to follow Deng Zhiming, so how could she possibly get hold of something on him? Soon, the Deng family would probably come to discuss the wedding date.
She must find evidence of Deng Zhiming's connection with the young widow as quickly as possible.
"Brother Zhengping, I won't tell your parents about your fight today." Gu Siqing tilted her head to look at Han Zhengping in front of her. From this angle, she could see his profile. She sighed in her heart, "How shameless!"
Speaking of which, none of the Han uncles or aunts are white, and neither is Erpang, so why is he so white?
Han Zhengping felt that the Gu family's little fourth child was a little different these days. He used to be quirky, but not like he is now. How should I put it, he seems to be acting like a little adult.
"Just say what you want to say." I don't know what tricks this girl has up her sleeve.
Gu Siqing: “…”
Young man, being too smart is not a good thing.
"Brother Zhengping, I want you to do me a favor." Gu Siqing was going to say it directly. It was normal for children to think of things in a certain way.
"Can you help me keep an eye on Deng Zhiming, the man who's engaged to my eldest sister?"
Han Zhengping was stunned for a moment, "Why are you paying attention to him?"
"I don't think he's a good person, but I have no evidence. Can you help me find some evidence?" Afraid that she would refuse, Gu Siqing immediately said, "You don't have to follow him every day. When I ask you to, you can do so."
She thought, Deng Zhiming and the young widow must have had sex secretly, and it must have been at night. So he might not have come home that day.
She just had to wait at the entrance of Deng Zhiming's village, see which day he didn't come home, and then find the pattern. Maybe she could catch him in bed with him.
Han Zhengping hummed in agreement. Their families were close, and he even had a sweater knitted by Yimin. If Xiao Si thought Deng Zhiming was bad, then there must be something wrong with him. It wouldn't hurt to follow him for two days; it wouldn't delay anything.
As for whether it would affect my studies? As someone who always topped the class, that wasn't something I should be concerned about.
It must be said that children's thinking is different from that of adults. If an adult had listened to Gu Siqing's words, they would definitely ask her why she thought Deng Zhiming was not a good person and how she was sure of the day to follow him. But Han Zhengping didn't ask anything.
It was almost eleven when they got home, and Gu Siqing started cooking. She asked Han Zhengping to stay for dinner, but he said he had something to do and left. In fact, he had just left for school.
Gu Siqing had just added water to the pot when Gu Sanjing came back in a hurry, his hair a mess.
The two sisters worked very well together, one lighting the fire and the other cooking. Not to mention children under ten who can't cook, many children in rural areas can cook when they are eight or nine years old.
She was making noodles. Wang Yueju had rolled and dried the noodles earlier. After frying the cabbage and adding more water to the pot, Gu Siqing went to the fields to call Gu Jianguo and the others home for dinner. She would wait until they got home before cooking the noodles.
She walked to the edge of her second uncle Gu Jiancheng's field and looked inside. She saw that only her eldest cousin Gu Xueqiang was working there, and there was no sign of her second uncle and aunt.
It would be strange if a family like this could live a good life. However, this has nothing to do with her.
Arriving at her family's fields, she joined her parents and sisters in loading corn stalks onto a cart and pulling them home. These stalks could be used as firewood.
Gu Jianguo was still pulling the cart, and the sisters were pushing it from behind. When they arrived at the door, they saw Zhang Chuntao holding a piece of red cloth with blue flowers, smiling and talking to the third aunt next door.
When she saw them, she deliberately raised her voice and said, "I told you to go work in the fields, but Daqiang wouldn't let me, saying he could do it all by himself. Sons and daughters are just different."
Wang Yueju had heard this kind of talk for many years, and although she wasn't too angry, she wasn't very happy either. Seeing her mother's unhappy face, Gu Siqing approached Zhang Chuntao and asked, "Second Aunt, do you think a boy or a girl is better?"
"Of course a boy is better." Zhang Chuntao curled her lips and smiled at Wang Yueju. So what if she was pretty? Giving birth to a son was the real skill.
She was just feeling happy when she heard Gu Siqing say, "Second Aunt, you were also raised as a girl. Alas, you don't even think highly of yourself!"
Zhang Chuntao: ""
Zhang Chuntao snatched the flowered cloth from her third aunt's hand, snorted, and turned away. "You silly girl, wait and see how I'll deal with you later."
