Chapter 39 Apologize
Gu Jianguo was arguing with a young man. The young man looked nonchalant and Gu Jianguo really wanted to go up and punch him a few times.
At this moment, a man in his forties who looked like a leader walked over quickly, criticized the young policemen, and then smiled and issued a letter of certification to Gu Jianguo and Han Deyi.
Gu Jianguo and Han Deyi were unable to react to this sudden turn of events.
"It was a mistake on our part. Xiao Wu has just been employed and hasn't fully understood some of the policies." The section chief explained to Gu Jianguo and Han Deyi with a smile.
Normally, he wouldn't explain this to an ordinary citizen. But the director's attitude just now was wrong, and he even asked Deng Dazhu to apologize to these two people. It was obvious that there was something he didn't know.
Having worked in government agencies for so many years, he understood the twists and turns involved. Behind these two people, there must be someone who both the powerful and the weak are wary of.
Neither Gu Jianguo nor Han Deyi were the type to hold back. Since their leader had already apologized, they naturally wouldn't hold on to the accusation. They left with the issued letters of certification.
The section chief watched their backs as they walked away, then turned around and ordered someone with a cold face to call Deng Dazhu to his office.
Deng Dazhu was reading a newspaper in his office when he heard the section chief calling him. He quickly put down his newspaper and went out. As he left, he whispered, "What do you want to talk to me about?"
"have no idea."
Deng Dazhu glanced towards the office where the certificates were issued. Seeing that Gu Jianguo and Han Deyi were not there, he assumed they had left without getting their certificates. He snorted and staggered off to the section chief's office.
Arriving at the door of the section chief's office, he stood up straight, put on a flattering smile, knocked on the door and went in, "Section Chief Hu, you want to see me?"
He took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, took out a cigarette and handed it to Section Chief Hu with a smile.
Section Chief Hu didn't take his cigarette. He said seriously, "Gu Jianguo and Han Deyi's letters of recommendation have already been issued. The reason they haven't been issued for so many days is because Xiao Wu didn't fully understand the policy. Regardless, this was a mistake on our part. You should go and apologize to them both within the next two days."
Deng Dazhu thought he was hallucinating. The section chief asked him to apologize to Gu Jianguo and Han Deyi! Who were they?
Although he thought so in his heart, he still had a smile on his face, "Chief Hu, what's going on?"
Section Chief Hu stopped talking in official language and snorted, "This is the director's order."
"How does the director know this?"
Section Chief Hu leaned back in his chair and said quietly, "It should be related to Zhang Mingcheng."
"Zhang Mingcheng?" Deng Dazhu was shocked. "How is this related to Zhang Mingcheng?"
Everyone in the unit knew that Zhang Mingcheng's father held a high position, and he worked in their unit just to improve his resume.
"I was just about to ask you, didn't you say that Gu Jianguo and Han Deyi were just two ordinary people?" Section Chief Hu angrily picked up the book at hand and threw it at Deng Dazhu's face, "Ordinary people? Ordinary people can let Zhang Mingcheng stand up? I tell you, Deng Dazhu, you better go and apologize to them and make them calm down, otherwise..."
What else? Even if Section Chief Hu didn't say it, Deng Dazhu knew it. A higher-ranking official can crush someone. If Section Chief Hu wanted to make things difficult for him, his future would definitely be difficult.
But he couldn't imagine how Gu Jianguo was related to Zhang Mingcheng. If they were really related, why didn't Gu Jianguo use it earlier?
"What are you standing there for? Go and apologize!"
Section Chief Hu yelled at Deng Dazhu, and Deng Dazhu quickly bent down and nodded in agreement, but he did not leave. Instead, he whispered his thoughts.
"Section Chief Hu, if Gu Jianguo and Han Deyi knew Zhang Mingcheng, why didn't they ask Zhang Mingcheng for help earlier?"
Seeing he was still hoping for a lucky break, Section Chief Hu picked up another book and slammed it in his face. "I don't care if Gu Jianguo and Zhang Mingcheng know each other or not. The current situation is that Zhang Mingcheng has stood up for them both, and the director wants you to apologize."
Deng Dazhu clenched his fists and forced a smile. "Yes, yes, I'll go home and apologize to them right now."
After leaving Section Chief Hu's office, Deng Dazhu put away his smile and gritted his teeth as he returned to his office to pack up and prepare to go home. He had never imagined that his plan to teach Gu Jianguo a lesson would end up being the one to apologize to him.
After leaving the office, he glanced at Zhang Mingcheng's office door, wondering if he should ask him, or if Section Chief Hu had made a mistake. He still didn't believe that Gu Jianguo knew Zhang Mingcheng.
Zhang Mingcheng is from the provincial capital and his father holds a good position. If Gu Jianguo knew Zhang Mingcheng, why wouldn't he tell him?
But after hesitating for a while, he didn't go over. There were always unexpected things. What if Gu Jianguo really knew Zhang Mingcheng? What if he rashly went to get information and offended the young master?
It’s better to apologize honestly.
But I just can’t accept it!
When Gu Jianguo returned home and took out the letter of certification, Wang Yueju, Gu Yimin and Gu Erhui were so happy that they wanted to cry. It was not easy to get this letter of certification.
"Why was it opened today?" Wang Yueju asked. As Gu Jianguo repeatedly made trips to the county police station, her hope gradually eroded, until she had almost given up hope.
"I don't know how it was approved." Gu Jianguo wasn't a fool; he didn't believe Section Chief Hu's words at all. He said Xiao Wu didn't fully understand the policy, was he kidding a fool?
He had been going to get a letter of certification almost every day recently, and many people knew about his situation. Xiao Wu didn't fully understand the policy, but what about others? Didn't they fully understand the policy?
However, he also wondered why the letter of certification was issued to him today.
"Never mind that," Gu Jianguo continued, "The letter of certification has been issued. I'm going to buy a train ticket to Shenzhen tomorrow and prepare to go there."
This made Wang Yueju, Gu Yimin and Gu Erhui all a little excited. Wang Yueju said, "I'll cook some more eggs for you to take with you."
"Shenzhen should be quite far, right? What else do I need to bring?"
"Is it cold over there? Should I bring some more clothes?"
Gu Erhui and Gu Yimin were chattering away. Seeing that the three of them were busy again, Gu Jianguo couldn't help but curl his lips.
After school, Gu Siqing learned that the certificate had been issued and was so happy that she almost jumped up. She leaned over to Gu Jianguo and said, "Dad, you have to be careful when you go out to a place you don't know. Don't be too frugal. You can't always eat dry food, it's not good for your health."
Gu Jianguo's heart was filled with warmth. He touched his little girl's head with his big hand and whispered, "I'm such a grown-up, and I still don't know how to take care of myself? Don't worry about me, just study hard."
Gu Siqing: ""
Well, Dad is a straight man.
