Chapter 186 Swimming

A young coach in the swimming pool was standing on the shore, roaring wildly.

"Xia Minmin, breathe!"

"Don't you understand the concept of breathing?!"

Xia Minmin also wanted to catch her breath, but...

"I told you to take a breath, not to sink!"

The coach on the shore immediately pulled Xia Minmin up from the sinking water.

The swimming pool was very shallow, with the water level only reaching Xia Minmin's chest. Every time she sank, the coach had to pull her up.

This was Xia Minmin's ninth swimming lesson. She hadn't even learned how to breathe properly yet. The coach, sitting on the shore, was on the verge of a breakdown, repeatedly saying, "Money is hard to earn and life is tough!"

Xia Minmin handed the coach his water bottle. "Coach, don't be discouraged. With my example, you'll become more emotionally stable in your future teaching. If you can even teach me, then there probably won't be anyone you can't teach in the future, hehe."

Xia Minmin hoped that this inexperienced young coach would not give up on her, as no coach in the entire swimming pool was willing to take her on.

Xia Minmin has changed coaches nine times, from small group classes to one-on-one lessons.

After leaving the swimming pool, Xia Minmin waited for Tang Meng at the bus stop, while Tang Meng continued to learn tennis at the Children's Palace.

Tang Meng saw Xia Minmin pacing back and forth under the shade of a tree with her head down from a distance. She guessed that Xia Minmin had suffered another setback in her swimming lesson, as she had the same expression after the previous swimming lessons.

Tang Meng couldn't understand it. She had no problem with other land sports, and could even do them very well, so why did her motor skills seem to disappear when it came to swimming?

Tang Meng patted Xia Minmin on the shoulder from behind, "Xiao Min!"

"Mengmeng".

Xia Minmin's voice sounded weak and listless, indicating that her swimming lessons were not progressing well.

The bus home stopped at the station, and Tang Meng pulled Xia Minmin to sit in the last row of the bus.

"Xiaomin, did the method I taught you before not work?"

Xia Minmin shook her head. She couldn't learn to swim because she couldn't overcome her fear of water.

In her past life, she was about four years old when she had a near-drowning experience. It is said that she was dragged by a water ghost to be a substitute for her, and later the scarecrow wearing her clothes was burned.

Because of that near-drowning experience, I developed a fear of water and never learned to swim in my past life.

Xia Minmin had composed herself by the time the bus arrived at the station. "Mengmeng, let's hurry, I'm starving!"

"Your godfather has definitely prepared Chinese food for us, so we can eat as soon as we arrive at the restaurant."

Since the start of summer vacation, Xia Minmin and Tang Meng have been having lunch at Wang Aimin's tea restaurant.

As soon as Xia Minmin entered the tea restaurant, she pouted at Wang Aimin and said, "Godfather, I'm so hungry! I feel like I could eat a whole cow!"

Xia Minmin and Tang Meng sat down at their designated seats. Wang Aimin had specially arranged a small square table near the silver table for Xia Minmin and Tang Meng to eat at.

"Xiaomin, the fried rice you and Mengmeng ordered was specially made by Brother Zhong at the exact time." Sister Xia walked over carrying a tray.

Two glasses of lemon-mint water and two plates of shrimp fried rice made up their lunch. The fried rice was perfectly separated, each grain coated in egg, and the shrimp inside were all whole. A glass of lemon-mint water instantly cooled them down.

Looking at Xia Minmin, who seemed to be in a good mood, Wang Aimin cautiously asked, "Xiaomin, how was your swimming lesson today?"

Xia Minmin paused, her hand holding the spoon still. "Godfather, if you hadn't brought this up, I would have been in a pretty good mood, really!"

"It's alright, it's alright, we'll learn slowly. Tomorrow, your godfather will treat you to fried milk, okay?" Wang Aimin observed his goddaughter's expression and saw that her eyes had become more lively, indicating that she must be in a better mood.

Wang Aimin said loudly, "Xiaoxia, have Ah Zhong make some fried milk for Xiaomin."

"good!"

Xia Minmin thought to herself that although she hadn't learned to swim yet, the treatment was pretty good. Not only was there an extra meal every day at noon, but there were also lots of delicious food when she got home.

Eating the last bite of fried milk made me incredibly happy; it even cured the frustration of my swimming lesson.

"Godfather, I'm home now. Don't forget to eat."

Wang Aimin had a bad stomach when he was young. Some time ago, he didn't eat on time, and his stomach problems flared up, so he had to go to the hospital for an IV drip.

Wang Aimin nodded. "Be careful, and don't forget to call me when you get home."

Wang Aimin thought to himself that his son and daughter were really different. His daughter cared about everything, big or small, but his son... well, never mind!

"Xiaomin, see you this afternoon!"

See you this afternoon!

Xia Minmin and her friend have a Muay Thai class in the afternoon; it's a new training program that started this summer.

The foam board in the living room was still on the floor. Before her swimming lesson, Xia Minmin had reviewed the land-based training for swimming. Every coach had been impeccable in her land-based training, but she would fall apart as soon as she got into the water.

How melancholy!

Recently, Xia Jianguo and Li Chunmei have been preparing for the opening of their second discount supermarket. They are looking for a location in another factory area, but it is not easy to buy a building suitable for opening a supermarket.

Xia Minmin never takes a nap at noon. She does her summer homework every day at noon, previews her lessons in the morning, and practices English in the evening. Every day of her summer vacation is packed with activities.

After leaving the Muay Thai training class, Xia Minmin and Tang Meng went to a fried food stall. This fried food stall was owned by the same owner who had been a regular customer of Xia Minmin's elementary school days.

"Xia Minmin, you're here again! Is it the same two dishes again?"

Xia Minmin nodded. Every time she came, she only ate two things: fried bananas and fried starch sausages. The owner remembered her name and what she liked to eat.

"Give me a skewer of fried potatoes, fried rice cakes, and fried lotus root." Tang Meng also liked fried skewers under Xia Minmin's influence.

The continuous high temperatures only cool down in the evening, and what's even more rare is that there's a breeze today.
