Xia Minmin woke up after the first rooster crowed. She threw off the thin blanket covering her, picked up her Walkman from the desk, and gently opened the door to the balcony.
The sky was still shrouded in darkness, with only a patch of red light visible on the horizon, the place where the sun was rising.

Li Qing shook her head. "As expected of you, I didn't expect your sound waves to scare away the little snake. But the little snake is quite pitiful. Maybe this is its first time going out alone, and it didn't expect to run into you."
Xia Minmin thought about the scene of the little snake going home to complain to its parents... and felt that she had committed a great sin.
