Chapter 94 The rest is hers

Yu Xifeng ignored him.

The man just yelled like that, and when he saw that Yu Xifeng and Zhang Qiu didn't leave, he didn't care anymore.

There is no absolute certainty and worthwhile gain.

It is not worth wasting your energy.

This is also the consensus of the survivors.

Yu Xifeng stood between Zhang Qiu and the man, looking at the house that had been ransacked by who knows how many people.

This place is still too close to the underground shelter.

Except for these medicinal herbs whose efficacy ordinary people don't know, everything that could be taken was taken away.

Those who stay are in a thankless position, like the threshold.

Those that can be recognized by ordinary people, such as honeysuckle, American ginseng, and angelica, have all been collected.

Some people, even if they don’t know the rest, will just put a handful in their pockets.

No matter what it is, at worst we can just burn it. This is what most people think when resources are scarce.

Or something that looks like garbage.

Zhang Qiu was squatting on the ground, silently digging out the garbage. He also carefully scraped off the scraps in the cabinets and put them away properly.

Then go to the next one.

The man holding the wooden stick was walking in a similar direction as Yu Xifeng.

It was not too far or too close, so Yu Xifeng didn't care. He was not the only person on the road.

Zhang Qiu continued to dig up garbage in the field, and Yu Xifeng was guarding the door for him.

I went to three or four more houses like this.

Zhang Qiu said: "You have all the materials for the medicinal bath."

Yu Xifeng: "What about yours?"

"Mine? Oh, mine is almost done." Zhang Qiu said.

As he spoke, he entered a room.

This house is more like a residential building, with a yard at the back.

Zhang Qiu squatted and walked out of habit.

Yu Xifeng took a step back and saw the man with the wooden stick at the door, hesitating whether to come in.

"Yu Xifeng." Zhang Qiu called her.

His voice was filled with doubt and a bit of undisguised joy.

Yu Xifeng raised his eyelids, but did not go in to look for Zhang Qiu. Instead, he stared at the man and the wooden stick in his hand.

The man smiled, waved his hand and left.

Yu Xifeng looked at his back and narrowed his eyes.

After the man walked away, Yu Xifeng walked inside. Zhang Qiu also realized that something was wrong and lowered his voice: "There seems to be a cellar here."

Yu Xifeng walked over and felt that something was indeed wrong with the ground.

Yu Xifeng looked back and saw two or three people in the distance, still looking around, but not coming over here.

Yu Xifeng gave Zhang Qiu a wink.

Zhang Qiu understood and moved even slower, turning around in circles and picking up the items bit by bit.

The two or three people looked at Yu Xifeng and saw that the room was empty, so they walked away with disgust.

Yu Xifeng whispered, "This used to be an urban area, how could someone dig a cellar?"

Zhang Qiu shook his head: "It's hard to say. This used to be an old neighborhood. The management was not so strict before, and there were too many illegal buildings."

The two of them leaned against the wall and huddled at the foot of the yard. Zhang Qiu gave Yu Xifeng a rice ball. Yu Xifeng didn't hesitate and ate it in three or two bites, and gave Zhang Qiu two chocolate beans.

Seeing that Zhang Qiu wanted to put it in his pocket, Yu Xifeng said, "Eat it, it will melt in a while."

Zhang Qiu ate one.

Most of the people on the roadside have dispersed.

Yu Xifeng closed the door and, together with Zhang Qiu, broke the ice on the surface.

Zhang Qiu exclaimed in surprise: "It really is."

There were a lot of dried sweet potatoes stored in the cellar, two large sacks, at least 200 kilograms, as well as radishes, dried vegetables, and smoked bacon.

Look at it, these things were here before the disaster.

Zhang Qiu saw a whole wall of medicine cabinets inside: "What a generous move! This wood is very expensive."

Yu Xifeng also likes this cabinet.

There are a lot of scattered things in her space, and this cabinet is a good choice for storage.

"Pick up the ones that are most useful to you." Yu Xifeng reminded Zhang Qiu.

Zhang Qiu put the herbs into his pocket, but that was not enough. He pressed them firmly, trying not to waste any space.

There were so many things, and the two of them could only take away less than one-tenth of them.

What a pity.

Yu Xifeng helped pack two large strips of bacon, a cured chicken, two bags of rice, and a sack of dried sweet potatoes.

The dried vegetables were wrinkled and didn't take up much space, so Yu Xifeng stuffed them into the backpack bit by bit.

These are for Zhang Qiu and Old Man Cai.

As for herself, Yu Xifeng glanced at the cellar.

The rest is hers.

"I made a lot of money this time." Zhang Qiu said cheerfully, then his face froze: "It seems someone is coming."

Yu Xifeng threw the bag on the ground and said, "Wait here, I'll go up and take a look."

Climbing up the stairs, Yu Xifeng came out of the cellar.

The footsteps outside were not deliberately suppressed, and this time Yu Xifeng also heard them.

Yu Xifeng pushed the door open. Outside, the men holding wooden sticks came back. There were four men in total, all tall and strong, with relaxed smiles.

The man held the wooden stick, a calculating light flickering in his eyes.

He had been to this room before and found nothing.

Both of them are too young, and the man doesn't appear to be a regular.

The two of them stayed in the house for so long that he suspected the young couple had discovered something.

Out of caution, he called his companions.

"Oh, you look good."

"Don't follow him. Follow us brothers and we'll make sure you have a good life."

Several people had ambiguous smiles on their faces.

Yu Xifeng took a few steps back, looking extremely frightened, and retreated into the house in a panic.

The men's smiles deepened.

He followed slowly, like a cat playing with a mouse.

The look on their faces changed when they saw the cellar.

They have been hanging around out there for quite some time.

It is still fresh to be able to discern traces of this place.

What is the cellar used for?

To store things.

A newly discovered cellar meant food, plenty of it, supplies that could be used for exchange.

The men's faces turned cold. No matter who was here, they were not going to leave anyone alive.

They had an absolute advantage and decided Yu Xifeng's fate from a high position.

One of them closed the door on his own accord.

Yu Xifeng was also very satisfied with the cooperation of these people. She took off her outermost thick coat.

The men exchanged glances and smiled playfully.

Yu Xifeng also smiled at them.

When Zhang Qiu crawled out, Yu Xifeng's knife had already slashed the last person's neck.

Zhang Qiu's face turned red: "There's no oxygen in there. I almost died in there. Oh my god—"

The entrance to the cellar was in pieces.

All dead.

Zhang Qiu sat down on the ground and gasped: "If it weren't for you, I would have died here today."

Yu Xifeng nodded.

"Then let's move the body inside and don't let anyone get involved with us."

Yu Xifeng was a little surprised that Zhang Qiu had adapted so well to murder and robbery.

He is a talented person who can be cultivated.
