The past is not like the wind, and recalling it inevitably brings heartache.
Yu Xue recalled some past events.
When Yu Xue entered her second year of graduate school, she applied for an internship at Huading. Because of her excellent academic performance, having received full scholarships from Tsinghua University multiple times, and having considerable experience in participating in projects, Huading made an exception and hired this master's student who was still far from graduating.

At the hotel entrance, she felt regret and fear, but it was too late. She couldn't remember how she got through that night; it was like a nightmare.
She took a three-day leave and returned to Huading to find out that she had been dismissed for absenteeism and failing to complete the required internship period.
She thought she would be the special one, but in the end, the outcome was the same. She went to find Gao Qiang.
"Don't let me go, I'll be very useful to you," Yu Xue said bluntly.
Gao Qiang sneered and clicked his tongue. "There are plenty of highly educated women in Huading; there will be plenty of women prettier than you in the future; and there will be plenty of women who are capable and gentler in bed. What reason do I have to keep you here?"
Yu Xue's self-esteem was worthless at that moment. She pursed her lips, processing the humiliation, and took out a voice recorder from her pocket, playing a short clip.
Her gaze was sharp as she retorted sharply to Gao Qiang, "I have a backup, so you don't need to think about destroying this. I've met many outstanding alumni at Tsinghua University, some of whom are doing very well in the media. If the recording is made public, not only Mr. Gao, but even Huading will face scandal and disaster."
Gao Qiang's hand, which had been snatching the pen, froze in mid-air, his gaze growing even colder. "I didn't expect I underestimated you. What do you want?"

Yu Xue suppressed her pain and tears, tidied her disheveled hair and clothes, and walked out of the office with a smile.
Gao Qiang gave her another long look.
Yu Xue proved her abilities. Then, Gao Ruhai assigned him a difficult collaborative project, leaving Gao Qiang at a loss. He remembered Yu Xue. Yu Xue not only completed the task brilliantly but also made Gao Qiang stand out in front of his father and the board of directors.
