Chapter 21: Collect all seven rainbow packs to summon the Queen.

The two girls came home early today. As soon as they opened the door, Xue Shi rushed over enthusiastically and stuck out his tongue to lick Xue Qiandai.

Xue Qiandai, who felt abandoned by the world, finally found some comfort. At least Xue Shi needed her.

"Jane, you take a shower first. I'll go for a walk with Xue Shi." Xue Qiandai had just noticed that no one was in the bathroom.

Jian Yan was a little worried about her, so she took her hand and said carefully, "I'll come with you. We've been roommates for several days, but I haven't played with Xue Shi yet." As she spoke, she imitated Xue Qiandai and patted Xue Shi's big head.

The snow lion seemed to understand human nature. It barked at Jian Yan and its tail held high in the air with glee.

Human relationships are strange. Some people become confidants after knowing each other for a few days; others become best friends but end up as strangers. Xue Qiandai was comforted by the care of her confidant. She smiled and said, "I'm fine. Go to the bathroom while no one's around. I'll take over when you get back."

Jian Yan couldn't refuse, so she had no choice but to agree.

After walking the dog, Xue Qiandai went to take a shower herself. As quick as ever, she came out wrapped in a bath towel.

Jian Yan, who was logging into Xianyu and communicating with buyers who left messages, glanced at the undulating mountains and joked, "Nice figure, curvaceous, even I, a woman, am tempted."

"Jane, you're not pure anymore!" Xue Qiandai, who always prided herself on her stunning figure, readily accepted the compliment. While drying her hair with a towel, she leaned over, glanced at the screen, and asked, "Is anyone filming?"

Jian Yan shook her head, feeling helpless. "The price is too high, and a bunch of people are trying to bargain. Some are even asking to see the receipt and want to inspect the goods."

Xue Qiandai's temper flared up again. "Buy it or don't, Jane, ignore them. If I had the receipt, I would have gone to the store to return it at full price. Why waste my breath arguing with them here?"

Jian Yan scratched her eyebrows and smiled to comfort her, "It's okay, it's only been two days. There will always be someone willing to buy. I've sold quite a few things with this account, and my reputation is pretty good."

Xue Qiandai really wanted to say, "You used to sell small commodities, but now you're dealing in large-scale goods. How can they be the same?" But she held back. She sat down next to Jian Yan, thought about it seriously for a moment, and said, "If they knew that the person selling these things was the famous Xue Qiandai, the little princess of the capital, they probably wouldn't need to check the goods. Actually, I have an idea."

"What idea?" Jian Yan's eyes lit up.

"Find a reporter to write a story, with a headline like, 'What's the heiress who once dominated Beijing's socialite circles doing now that she's bankrupt?' Oh, she's selling her stuff secondhand on Xianyu (a Chinese online marketplace). I used to ignore those entertainment reporters who wanted to interview me, but now they'll be happy to do it. I'll attach a secondhand link to the article, and I guarantee it'll sell out in minutes." Xue Qiandai said seriously, without a hint of sadness or joy, a touch of self-deprecation and mockery.

Jian Yan became increasingly certain that she had been deeply traumatized. Someone as proud as her, who would even wear freckle makeup while delivering takeout, how could she possibly lower herself to do something so shameful? "Dai Dai, what exactly happened today?"

Xue Qiandai paused for a moment, her eyes welling up with tears. "It's nothing. I've seen through it all. Compared to the realities of daily life, what does face matter? If I were shameless, I'd be able to live a very good life."

"But then, would you still be Xue Qiandai?" Jian Yan felt sorry for her, her gaze fixed on her eyes. "You have your bottom line."

Xue Qiandai stood up, hung up the towel, and smiled back. "I was just kidding, just teasing you. Okay, time to get to work. Do you have any paper?" She took out a Parker pen from her LV bag.

"What are you going to do?" Jian Yan asked curiously.

"You'll find out soon enough." With paper and pen ready, Xue Qiandai lay on the bed, writing and drawing.

Jian Yan continued to haggle with buyers on Xianyu (a secondhand marketplace app), but the buyers were too picky, and the negotiations broke down again. She glanced at Xue Qiandai every now and then, put down her laptop, and poked her arm. "Hey, hey, hey, Dai Dai, your eyes are practically touching the paper. Being nearsighted isn't pretty."

Xue Qiandai raised her eyes, her gaze as misty as a lake after a rain in a mountain valley. "Today is Black Monday, I'm not happy. Luckily, there's Lightyear Coffee, its delicious taste will make you forget your troubles."

She held up the paper in her hand; it was the logo of Lightyear Coffee Shop, a coffee cup with long arms and legs. She'd just added a melancholic expression to it, like a QQ emoticon.

Jian Yan was completely charmed by this emoji and really wanted to pat it on the head. Her hand stopped halfway through, "Dai Dai, it's so well drawn!"

Xue Qiandai pulled out another piece of paper, which again featured a coffee cup with an emoji on it. "Tuesday is a day for self-adjustment. What can relieve worries? Only coffee."

The third sheet of paper marks a hopeful day, as half the week has already passed. The coffee cup wears a faint smile, accompanied by the caption, "I'm either drinking coffee or on my way to order a coffee from Lightyear Delivery."

On the fourth sheet of paper, a glimmer of hope appeared, with a cartoon image of a small coffee cup jumping high. The accompanying text read, "Thursday, pay for good taste, and raise a glass to a good mood. Lightyear Coffee, your companion."

The fifth image witnesses a moment of happiness. The accompanying caption reads, "Enjoy this moment; light-years are eternity."

...

Xue Qiandai drew five emojis, each corresponding to a different emotion on one of the five workdays of the week. They are incredibly lifelike and adorably cute.

Jian Yan looked through them one by one, her eyes lighting up. "Dai Dai, we have material for our T-shirts! Let's use this anthropomorphic emoji. How about making five sets to form a series?"

Xue Qiandai looked at the meme. Making her wear that to deliver food? That's so cringeworthy! "No, this is a topic for online dissemination. The boss's online presence is terrible, and the copywriting is awful."

Jian Yan scratched her temple, tilted her head, and asked, "Weren't you thinking about T-shirts when you were drawing it? It's a great idea. Just imagine, we'd have different uniforms to wear five days a week, how tempting would that be!"

Xue Qiandai muttered, "No, I refuse, I don't want to be so childish!"

But it seems like that was her subconscious intention when she drew it. Xue Qiandai smiled; Jian Yan really understood her. "However, I want rainbow colors, different every day. Collect all seven colors of T-shirts and summon the Queen."

Yes, as everyone in the fashion world knows, Queen Elizabeth, who reigned the longest across the ocean, loved rainbow outfits.

"Let's not do that. We can't work overtime every weekend." Jian Yan wanted to have a good rest on the weekend.

“But I have OCD, I have to have rainbow colors. We’ll wear the weekend version in private.”

“Okay.” Jian Yan said with particular affection.

Next, Jian Yan used Xue Qiandai's emoji as inspiration, created an electronic version using AI, converted it into a saveable format, and sent it to a Taobao manufacturer she had previously worked with. They ordered fourteen T-shirts at once. The two girls laughed heartily at the screen.

"Jane, do you think the boss will be furious if he finds out we ordered fourteen T-shirts?"

"I don't know if it's outrageous or not, but I'm definitely thinking about having my wages docked. Who cares, as long as we're happy."
