Chapter 10 Dance Floor

Chapter 10 Dance Floor

The desire for pleasure is human nature.

No matter how backward the place, you can always find a place for an alcohol-filled night.

Yan Ming waited for someone at the entrance of the Nightfall Hotel. He was wearing a leather jacket, black pants, and his medium-length hair was loose. The last trace of a teacher he once was was blown away by the smoke he exhaled.

His figure blended into the darkness until a figure appeared at the end of the road, at which point he extinguished his cigarette and stepped out.

Upon closer inspection, he was stunned. If the girl hadn't said "Hello, teacher," he wouldn't have recognized that the person in front of him was Pu Xia.

Pu Xia is certainly beautiful, but she also keeps people at arm's length, like a rose confined in a glass greenhouse; you can only admire her from afar, never get close.

In her class, and even at school, she was the only one who wore a clean and tidy full school uniform, making her easily recognizable.

Most of the time, she would quietly read by herself. Even when she was with others, she seemed detached from the world around her, as if she were alone.

Yan Ming always felt that this was a kind of resistance and hostility, something he had seen in another person as well.

But today, she stepped out of that exquisite glass greenhouse on her own initiative. Her beauty was then released without reservation—

She wore a pair of Dr. Martens boots and super short denim shorts, with a thin silver chain hanging down to accentuate her long, straight legs.

She wore a black, fitted V-neck knit top with a tie at the chest, revealing her delicate collarbones and slender waist. But she didn't seem to want to show off her figure, so she wore a loose-fitting coat over it.

Her long, black hair cascaded down her chest, with two silver-gray highlights framing her delicate features.

His upturned eyes were filled with an arrogant acceptance of all praise.

Long, thick eyelashes, like raven feathers, flutter against the dark red eyeshadow;

Full, red lips are the most beautiful rose in a thicket of thorns.

This was completely different from her usual style. Yan Ming suddenly understood why she had asked him how his skills were.

She looked at the neon signs in the night and said softly, "Teacher, let's go in then."

"Uh, okay."

Yan Ming actually felt a little awkward.

-

Pushing open the door, deafening music and smoke burst through the night.

The so-called document check was just a formality, and they were allowed in without any problems.

The location of the night scene was between the county town and the city, and the area was crowded and diverse. Many eyes were fixed on Pu Xia and couldn't look away.

If Yan Ming hadn't been following closely behind her, people would probably have been lining up to ask for her phone number long ago.

Amidst the inquisitive and eager gazes, Yan Ming couldn't help but flex his wrists, thinking he needed to find Xie Sheng quickly and get Pu Xia away from this spot.

Thinking this, he reached out and stopped a waiter, "Do you know Xie Sheng? We're looking for him."

"Oh, Brother Sheng! He's sitting over there with the guests."

The lights flickered, and Yan Ming couldn't see clearly at first. He was about to go look for the person when he turned around and was about to tell Pu Xia to wait where she was when he found that the person had already disappeared into the crowded throng.

...

Pu Xia walked directly in the direction the waiter pointed and stopped in front of a booth.

The atmosphere here was very lively. A group of men and women sat in a booth, laughing and joking. The table was full of drinks, and they seemed to be playing some kind of game, deliberately swaying and leaning to one side.

She spotted Xie Sheng at a glance.

Without a doubt, he was the most eye-catching among them.

He wore a simple white shirt, unbuttoned to the third button to reveal his prominent collarbone, black trousers, and a tie. He managed to make this simple outfit look arrogant and sexy.

He sat there leisurely and lazily, and even without doing anything, he could still captivate people.

No matter how many times, Pu Xia still couldn't help but sigh, how could Bai County raise such people?

Looking at his side, two mature and sexy women sat on either side of him, leaning against him as if they had no bones, holding wine glasses and giggling, their desires blatant, yearning for his gaze to linger on them.

What a life of debauchery!

The person drinking was very cautious, while the person accompanying them acted like a big shot.

Pu Xia's expression grew even colder. She walked to the coffee table, raised her chin, and said, "What are you all playing? Count me in."

The group of people present were stunned when they saw Pu Xia suddenly appear. Where did such a beautiful girl come from?

Upon closer inspection, oh, the person's gaze was fixed on Xie Sheng.

Someone nearby immediately joked, "Brother Sheng, where did you get into this debt this time?"

Zhou Yuhao was also present. He was about to explain when he heard this, but then he immediately remembered Xie Sheng's warning—his relationship with Pu Xia was none of his business.

At the time, I thought he disliked this cousin who suddenly appeared.

But looking at Xie Sheng, whose eyes were fixed on Pu Xia, he had a vague sense of unease.

"Go back."

Xie Sheng spoke lazily, but his tone left no room for refusal.

"You're in charge of this table?" Pu Xia asked.

"Yes. I'll make the decision."

Pu Xia smiled and took out a card from her bag, casually tossing it on the table. "How much do you need to spend to make the decision? Can 100,000 clear out this table?"

Xie Sheng looked at the black and gold card on the table and smiled. In the light and shadow, his features appeared even more profound, and his gaze grew even colder. "What's wrong with you?"

"You can all leave now. I'll pay the bill for this table."

Pu Xia ignored him and continued talking to those around him.

"Bang!"

A crisp sound rang out at Pu Xia's feet as Xie Sheng smashed the wine glass at her feet.

Do I really have to tell you to get lost?

"You think the money isn't enough?" Pu Xia challenged calmly.

Xie Sheng felt a throbbing pain in the nerves on the side of his forehead.

The commotion quickly attracted the attention of security guards, who swiftly surrounded the area. The tall, burly man in the lead looked at Xie Sheng and asked, "What's going on?"

Seeing this, those who didn't want to cause trouble stood up and moved aside, and the originally lively and crowded booths became much emptier in an instant.

Xie Sheng watched as Pu Xia lit a cigarette, seemingly unconcerned, and even leisurely began to smoke.

He suddenly remembered his aunt, who often drove him to the point of exasperation.

What did she say to him again? Oh right, the creditor.

At this moment, he felt a sense of empathy for Pu Xia.

His place was vandalized, but there was nothing he could do about it. Could he really just have someone drag her out?

He took a deep breath and, after a long pause, managed to utter a few words, "...It's nothing."

Someone on the sidelines clearly didn't want to miss out on the show, shouting, "Brother Zhang, you don't know! This girl is amazing! She spent 100,000 yuan to buy Brother Sheng for one night! Look, the card is still there."

"What the hell is it to you? Go back and drink!" Xie yelled at the man, his anger rising. Then, suppressing his rage, he said to the nightclub security guard, "Brother Zhang, it's nothing, I'll handle it myself."

People are all out to make money; nobody turns down money. Hearing this, Brother Zhang naturally wouldn't just walk away so easily. He sized up Pu Xia's arrogant demeanor and understood what was going on.

He asked with a smile, "Is this for real, young lady?"

Pu Xia, a cigarette between her fingers, glanced over with her pretty, slanted eyes. "Do you think I'm that free to play games with you?"

What kind of wine?

She gestured with her chin towards Xie Sheng, "Whatever other people order for him, I'll order the same."

"Okay, please have a seat," Brother Zhang said politely, his fierce face masking his rudeness. He then turned to Zhou Yuhao and shouted, "What are you standing there for, Haozi! Go order!"

Seeing that nothing serious had happened and he had even made a big sale, Brother Zhang left satisfied.

Some of the people who had just gotten up and moved aside wanted to come back, so they asked Pu Xia with a grin, "Beautiful lady, is it okay if I join a table?"

These two opposing people are speaking in unison, but their words are completely contradictory.

"Whatever," Pu Xia replied nonchalantly.

"If you have a problem, get out." Xie Sheng rudely told him to leave.

"Brother Sheng..." Please don't do this.

But before he could finish speaking, he saw the hostility in Xie Sheng's eyes and stopped talking. "Just kidding, we're leaving now."

At worst, you can just find another spot to watch the show; it's not worth getting yourself into trouble with a madman just for the best viewpoint.

It's finally a bit quieter.

Pu Xia watched as Xie Sheng got up and walked towards her, his body reeking of alcohol, cigarette smoke, and cheap, overpowering perfume.

She frowned, then he grabbed her wrist. He leaned down, his deep features suddenly close, his eyes lowered, and he took a drag of the cigarette from her hand. His lips pressed intentionally or unintentionally against hers.

Pu Xia's heart skipped a beat, and his throat bobbed slightly.

Xie Sheng exhaled smoke into her ear and asked angrily, "What do you want to do?"

Pu Xia suppressed the restlessness that had been stirred within him.

"I don't want to do anything. You're not coming to class, and a lot of people are looking for me. I'm getting annoyed, so I wanted to come and make you unhappy."

Her blunt words almost made Xie Sheng laugh in anger.

"I'm quite unhappy right now, are you satisfied?"

Pu Xia didn't answer his question, her gaze lingering on him. "You don't come to school, you're selling alcohol here?"

"none of your business."

This person always has a foul mouth and doesn't know what kind of nice words are.

Pu Xia felt she had developed immunity to it, so she pretended not to hear and took off her coat on her own.

Xie Sheng looked at Pu Xia's fair waist, chest, and long neck, and his anger flared up again. "Why are you taking off your clothes?"

Pu Xia gave him a cool glance and said, "None of your business."

She returned the sentence to her verbatim and walked towards the crowded dance floor.

P.S.: I realized I still can't quite put it together, so I'll just update one chapter for now.
