Chapter 2 Watching Movies

Chapter 2 Watching Movies

"who?"

A low, hoarse voice, tinged with panting, came from behind the entrance hall. It sounded like fingertips rubbing against rough sandpaper, and Pu Xia felt a tingling sensation in her ears.

Her throat felt like it was being choked, and she couldn't utter a single sound.

The woman's moans stopped abruptly, followed by clanging and rattling sounds from inside.

"Brother Sheng, is it your parents who are back?" someone else asked.

"They went to the city and won't be back until tonight."

"Is it a burglary?" As the voice grew closer, Pu Xia saw a tall, thin boy appear in the entryway. Upon seeing her, he quickly pulled on his belt, his panic evident as he shouted, "Brother Sheng! There's a burglar outside... wait, a woman has come to your house!"

The man inside paused, then lazily said, "Oh... I remember now."

Pu Xia could easily recognize who "Brother Sheng" was—it was Xie Sheng, the illegitimate son of her gigolo father.

She made up her mind, dragged her luggage, and walked past the boy who was standing there dumbfounded towards the living room.

As soon as I entered, I saw a high-definition screen displaying images of men and women engaging in sexual activity. Certain indescribable parts were clearly visible and uncensored. There were tissues on the coffee table, and a boy was sitting behind her, his head tilted back, his eyes full of mockery and hostility as he looked at her.

For some reason, a fire ignited in her heart.

Did he want to see her embarrassed reaction? He didn't pick her up as his aunt asked, and she even caught him watching porn in the living room. Shouldn't she be the one embarrassed?

Pu Xia looked back at him without changing his expression, while also sizing him up.

She has met many handsome men and beautiful women, some aloof, some sunny, and some gentle.

But none of them were like Xie Sheng; he just sat there lazily, yet possessed an unyielding sharpness, wildness, and aggressiveness.

His features seem to have been carved out by a bold and unrestrained artist; the deep, three-dimensional lines appear simple, but the contours are extremely refined.

The curtains in the huge living room were drawn tightly, and the only light came from the screen playing pornographic videos. She and her illegitimate brother stared at each other, neither of them speaking first.

This is not a good start; an invisible hostility has already formed.

The tall, slender male god also came to his senses. Seeing that the two were not in a good mood, he spoke up to ease the tension, "Brother Sheng, where did you get yourself into this mess of romantic entanglements? They've even come to your door with their luggage."

The two pairs of eyes finally looked at him, and he felt a chill run down his spine as he saw something similar between them.

Finally, Xie Sheng cleared up his confusion, "She is my cousin."

After saying that, he turned back and picked up the remote control, seemingly intending to continue watching.

Fortunately, the other boy was a normal person. He stepped forward, snatched the remote control from Xie Sheng's hand, then opened the curtains, took Pu Xia's luggage, and led her to the sofa.

He tried to smooth things over by saying, "Brother Sheng's cousin is my cousin too. Come, cousin, sit down."

Pu Xia glanced at the sofa, then at the crumpled paper on the floor, but did not sit down.

She finally uttered her first words, "Where is my room?"

Xie Sheng chuckled and lazily raised his chin in one direction, refusing to say a word to her.

This suited her just as well.

Turning south, there were two doors facing each other and a bathroom, which was more convenient than she had imagined.

She entered her room, which was much cleaner and more spacious than she had imagined. Although the room wasn't very big, it had all the necessary items, such as a wardrobe and a desk, and there was also a row of bookshelves by the window.

After closing the door, her tense nerves relaxed considerably.

She was quite satisfied with her new place, except for one thing—it was too close to the illegitimate child's room.

Thinking about this, she suddenly realized that Xie Sheng had called her cousin earlier.

Pu Xia felt a sense of doubt. Didn't he know about his own background?
