Chapter 31 The Future
Negotiation requires a balance of tension and relaxation, and the same principle applies to persuading others.
Xiao Chengming said no more after giving his message, lest he overdo it and make things worse.
The two finished their meal quietly. Xiao Chengming looked at Pu Xia, who remained silent and still, and thought of what Xie Sheng had said earlier. "Are you staying in the dormitory now?"
Pu Xia nodded.
This pleased him quite a bit.
"You'll be on holiday after class tomorrow, right? Let's go out for a drive this weekend."
When are you going back?
"I've only just arrived, and you're already hoping I'll go back?" Xiao Chengming leaned closer. "Xiaxia, aren't you being a little too cruel to me?"
Pu Xia took a step back, creating distance between them. "Can't you speak properly?"
"Why are you concerned about these things now?" Xiao Chengming keenly noticed Pu Xia's unease and narrowed his eyes.
Xiao Chengming was very concerned about the self-awareness represented by this behavior. Xie Sheng's handsome yet arrogant face flashed through his mind, but he quickly dismissed the thought.
Despite his rebellious nature, the Pu Xia he knew never did anything outrageous.
Pu Xia didn't want to clash with his intuition, which always seemed to hit the nail on the head, so she immediately changed the subject, "I'm not very familiar with the area. Is there anywhere you'd like to go?"
"That's a good opportunity for us to get acquainted. I'll ask Xiao Meng to find some fun places nearby when I get back."
Pu Xia sighed, "Brother Xiao Meng is on vacation too, right? Don't look for him. I... I'll ask my classmates."
Xiao Chengming smiled through gritted teeth, "You treat Xiao Meng better than I do."
The girl rolled her eyes, turned around and got into the car, leaving him with the back of her head.
The car soon drove back to the school. Pu Xia waved to him, jumped out of the car, and walked back.
Xiao Chengming didn't try to stop her anymore. Instead, he lit a cigarette and watched Pu Xia's retreating figure thoughtfully until she disappeared around a corner.
He put out his cigarette, took out his phone, and sent a message.
"Find information about Pu Ming's illegitimate son and send it to me."

The campus at night is filled with the sounds of wind, food being collected in the cafeteria, and the quiet, lit windows of the classrooms.
The evening breeze was already chilly, creeping straight into her collar and cuffs. By the time she realized it, Pu Xia had already shivered from the cold. Looking at the lonely moon hanging high in the sky, she suddenly missed Xie Sheng.
She longed for his body temperature, so much higher than hers, and for the hugs he would give her whenever she wanted them.
Then Pu Xia thought of the question Xiao Chengming had just asked, sighed inwardly, and felt completely confused.
She lowered her head, wrapped her school uniform jacket tighter, and quickly walked through the dormitory corridor to the room at the very end of the third floor.
The key unlocked the door, and the corridor light illuminated a corner of the dormitory. She saw a figure sitting in her usual reading spot, who looked up after she entered.
He was still holding the phone in his hand, the light emanating from the screen casting a silvery glow on his sculpted and deep-set features.
Pu Xia's heart was racing, but she remained calm. "Weren't you looking for Zhou Yuhao and the others?"
Xie Sheng reached out and turned on the desk lamp, its warm white light illuminating half of the dormitory.
He didn't answer her question, and the answer didn't matter at all; what mattered was what he really wanted to say.
He opened his arms to Pu Xia, "Come and hug me, I missed you so much."
Pu Xia instinctively stepped out of the cloth and almost ran into his arms.
Countless times she struggled with her reason, but in the end, she resolutely embarked on this path. Ultimately, it was probably because of Xie Sheng's undisguised, sincere, and straightforward love, and his burning sincerity.
I miss you too.
Pu Xia held his head in his arms and whispered.
She thought of a line from NANA: "There's no meaning in life if you can't hug each other." For her, perhaps that was more accurate: being able to hug each other was the whole meaning.
"Honey, what do you think of the provincial capital?"
Xie Sheng lifted his head from her embrace and suddenly asked a question out of the blue.
But Pu Xia knew what he meant, and he also knew that he was uneasy because of Xiao Chengming's appearance.
Seemingly sensing what he was about to say, Pu Xia's heart was pounding.
She looked at Xie Sheng's focused gaze, his expression a mixture of nervousness and anticipation, and then heard him say earnestly, "After graduation, let's go live in the provincial capital, okay? Just the two of us. You can study, and I'll do business. We'll settle down there."
Pu Xia wanted to laugh, but then her nose tingled and her eyes welled up with tears.
Her heart was pounding, and she dared not speak, for fear that she would burst into tears at any moment.
She had once longed for a home, but reality had faded the word, leaving it dusty and gradually fading from her memory. Now, Xie Sheng had picked it up again, brushed off the dust, and placed it before her.
She then realized that she still longed for him. And because of him, this longing became real and tangible.
Pu Xia was overwhelmed with emotion and didn't know how to express it. In the end, he could only utter a single word, "Okay," with trembling lips.
But before he could finish speaking, a hurried kiss silenced his lips.
Xie Sheng cupped her face in his hands and kissed her passionately. The huge weight that had been hanging over his heart finally lifted, and his surging emotions flowed uncontrollably.
This passionate emotion also touched Pu Xia; she reached out and hugged his neck, surrendering herself to him completely.
The night was dark, and the cold temperature foreshadowed the approaching winter. But inside this small dormitory, the temperature kept rising.
Xie Sheng lifted Pu Xia onto the table and squeezed between her legs, his already hard lower body pressing against her soft and delicate area through his pants.
He looked down at Pu Xia, his breathing heavy, but he didn't make any further moves, suppressing his impulse, and said in a low, husky voice in her ear, "Is it okay?"
"What?"
Pu Xia looked up, her lips so red they seemed to be stained with blood, her eyes and the tip of her nose also red from crying. She seemed somewhat confused by Xie Sheng's question, but little did she know that this only made her more alluring.
Xie Sheng's throat tightened, and his neck and ears turned red, but he insisted on getting an answer, "Can we do it?"
Pu Xia stared at him with her beautiful cat-like eyes, her face flushed and hot, a little annoyed. "You're only being 'polite' now?"
Xie Sheng chuckled and stuck out his tongue, licking the corner of her lips as if to satisfy a craving. "Isn't it because I was too impulsive last time and made you angry, my darling?"
He teased her, his eyes softened with laughter, yet radiated an alluring charm fueled by burgeoning desire. Like a drug coated in honey, it tempted her to take a bite, and once tasted, became an addiction she couldn't break.
"Can."
Pu Xia conceded defeat. She licked the corner of his lips that he had just licked, then slipped her cool hand inside his clothes, sliding it up along his well-defined abdominal muscles. "Let's make love, brother."

Even I have to say, Brother Sheng is so lucky.
