So the two sisters teamed up, with He Shuting's original intention being to help her younger sister pursue a husband.
One day, the two sisters happened to run into Liu Siping and Liu Si'an together.
Unsurprisingly, He Shuting also fell for it.

He Shuting was satisfied now, because she had her eye on another one.
He Shuting became much bolder and walked up to Liu Siping and Liu Si'an.
He then asked, "Gentlemen, are you married? If not, my sister has taken a liking to this gentleman. Would this gentleman be willing to take some time to talk to us?" The two men were stunned upon hearing this.
Then Liu Si'an saw He Shuman get off the carriage.
Since her sister had helped her get it done, she decided to be bold and went directly to Liu Si'an to express her feelings, saying many things to praise him.
This was the first time Liu Si'an had heard someone praise him so much. Mainly because there were so many outstanding people in his family, and he had never been particularly outstanding, he was very touched to hear such sincere praise from a woman.
He Shuting didn't speak to Liu Siping, and went back to tell the Minister of Rites about it.
The Minister of Rites was furious and gave He Shuting and her sister a good scolding, saying that they had no shame in broad daylight and how could they express their feelings to someone like that!
After his anger subsided, he realized that the Liu family was a good family, a family of talented people! He had also heard that the family treated their daughter-in-law exceptionally well, and that his daughter wouldn't suffer any mistreatment after marrying into the family. So he had no choice but to ask the matchmaker to visit the Liu family and inquire about their thoughts.
When He Shuting heard that her father had agreed to her sister's situation, she directly told him that she had taken a liking to Liu Siping and asked the matchmaker to mention it as well.
Originally, she didn't express her feelings because she wanted to get to know him better before making a move. But since things had come to this point, she figured she might as well bring it up now. If he didn't like her, she could put her mind at ease and avoid constantly thinking about it.
So the matchmaker came to the Liu family and to talk to Madam Wu about this matter.
