Chapter 2 Shameless Second and Third Uncles

Liu Sisi doesn't have time to see her now; the women in the village are all concerned about her health.

"Thank you for speaking up for me, aunties."

Liu Sisi thanked the villagers and bowed. The village head patted Liu Sisi's head and said, "If you have any difficulties in the future, tell Grandpa. Grandpa will help as much as he can. Go back with your mother and take good care of your injuries."

Well, the Liu family thanked the villagers and then took Liu Sisi away.

Wu wanted to take her to see a doctor, but she refused, saying that her family was too poor and she would save the tael of silver for her future life.

She knew that the injury on her head wasn't a big problem now, otherwise she wouldn't be able to be so lively. Although it still hurt a lot, it should be fine after a few days of rest.

Back home, Wu hugged her daughter tightly, then brought a basin of water to wipe the wound on her head, and called Liu Sifu and the others over.

"What kind of brothers are you? You didn't even know your sister was being bullied like this?"

Liu Sifu lowered her head, not daring to speak. Although the original owner was usually sensible and never caused trouble for her family, she was taciturn and didn't like to talk much. When her brothers talked to her, she would intentionally hide, afraid that her brothers would discover the injuries on her body.

This made the older brothers want to care for their younger sister, but they didn't know where to begin.

However, he did not argue with his mother because his sister had been bullied for so long and they hadn't paid enough attention to her.

"I will definitely protect my sister from now on," said Liu Siqiang, the second brother.

The older brothers also chimed in.

After scolding her brothers, Wu felt guilty. She couldn't just blame her sons; she, as their mother, hadn't cared enough for her daughter either. She resolved to love her daughter even more in the future.

Liu Sisi knew that this family treated the original owner very well, but the original owner was always sensible and would endure any grievances, which led to this incident.

"Mom, I don't blame you. I will definitely tell the family if anything happens to me in the future."

"Hmm, Mother will make you some steamed egg custard," Wu said as she got up, just as she heard footsteps outside the door.

Immediately afterwards, two middle-aged men and an old woman walked in.

One of the men was tall and thin, with triangular eyes and a unibrow.

There was another one who was rather short, with thin lips and a large nose.

The old lady had a mean face, with prominent cheekbones, as if every wrinkle on her face screamed "meanness."

Liu Sisi searched her memories and realized that these were the original owner's shameless second and third uncles, and her biased grandmother.

Grandma initially wanted to separate the family because she thought the eldest son's family was too big and ate too much. When she separated them, she planned to give them only 2 mu of land and half a tael of silver.

It was only through the village head's intervention that they were allocated an extra acre of land, two taels of silver, and 100 catties of grain. The house they live in now belongs to a deceased relative of the village head, whose line has now died out.

The village head felt sorry for Liu Laoda's parents, who didn't care about her much, so he lent her his house to live in for the time being. He said she could move in later when she had money and built her own house.

The second and third uncles only know how to suck blood from the eldest brother. Usually, the eldest brother and his wife do all the dirty work at home, and the second uncle just eats what's readily available.

Whenever there was money or good food, they always got to have it first.

This year was even worse, so Grandma simply separated Liu Laoda's family to save money and food. Liu Laoda was always honest and knew that he had a large family and that his parents didn't love him, so he agreed to the separation.

"I heard that your family received eggs and money. The old house is also in trouble recently. You must not forget your parents and brothers now that you have money."

“That’s right, eldest son, you can’t forget your parents when you have something good,” Old Wang said with a sarcastic tone. After saying that, the second uncle went to pick up the eggs that were on the ground and told Liu the eldest to hand over the silver so he could take it back to his eldest son for school.

When the seventh brother saw that his second uncle was about to take the eggs, he used his body to protect the basket, saying, "These are for my sister to nourish her body, you can't take them."

The eldest son, Liu, was also very angry. "We've already separated the family, why should we give it to you? Haven't I done enough for the family over the years?"

No sooner had he finished speaking than his second uncle kicked his younger brother to the side. The younger brother was already thin and weak, and after being kicked, he coughed up blood and fainted.

After kicking her, he said, "What will you eat, you brat? Take this back to my eldest child to help him develop his brainpower so he can become a top scholar in the future."

Things happened so fast that no one had time to react.

Liu the eldest never expected his second brother to be so ruthless. After all, he was his own nephew, yet he had dealt him such a heavy blow.

"Lele!" Wu ran over, picked up her son, and glared fiercely at Liu Lao Er.

Old Liu was furious and wanted to hit Old Liu the Second, but was stopped by Old Wang and Old Liu the Third.

The eldest son was utterly disappointed. His mother said, "Didn't you see how badly my second son beat my son? And you still tried to stop me?"

"What's the big deal about a kick? Don't make a fuss," Old Wang said, pursing her lips.

Liu Laoda was helpless. His mother had never cared for him, so why would she speak up for him?

Liu Sisi never expected her own uncle to be so outrageous; he had absolutely no conscience.

She went out to find tools, because without them, she was no match for an adult.

The eldest brother, Liu Sifu, thought that his sister was scared, and it was good that she had run away so that they would not hurt her again.

He then had his younger brothers grab Liu Lao Er and punch him in the eye, leaving him with a black eye.

"You dare hit me? You little bastard, do you want to die?" Liu Lao Er's mouth didn't stop even though he couldn't open one eye after being hit.

"I'm hitting you because I know you're angry. If anything happens to my brother, I'll make you pay with your life." Liu Sifu knew his father was also angry when he saw that his father didn't stop him.
