Chapter 22 Monster

070.

#This should be Conan's opening BGM#

I am Jinpei Matsuda from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team of the Metropolitan Police Department's Security Department. I have lived in Kyoto since I was a child. My father, a professional boxer, was mistakenly arrested by the police in a murder case. He missed the boxing championship and became an alcoholic uncle.

In order to become the top of the Metropolitan Police Department - the Superintendent of Police, and then legitimately beat up those wise policemen, I entered the Police Academy. [1]

During my time in the police academy, I met four friends. They were the blond bastard Rei Furuya, who was always ranked first but could never beat me; Keimitsu Morobushi, who had a strong sense of justice and whose brother was also an excellent detective; Kou Date, who was always the second-in-command, who was ranked at the top but could never beat Rei Furuya; and Kenji Hagiwara, who was gentle and good at communication, but preferred to use his excellent interpersonal relationships to pick up girls rather than use them for the right purpose.

After graduation, my best friend Kenji Hagiwara and I joined the Metropolitan Police Department's Security Division Mobile Unit and became a member of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team. On a rainy day, after saying goodbye to my best friend, I was on my way home when I found a wounded boy in a white coat lying unconscious in an alley.

I originally thought that the horn on his head was just cosplay, but after I brought him home, I didn't expect that the dagger on his waist would fly in the air and glow like a light bulb!

That boy turned out to be a monster!

In a hurry, I called my best friend to come over. In order to prevent myself from getting hurt, I handcuffed the boy's hands and feet to the head and foot of the bed with police handcuffs.

Although his worldview was shaken, his heart was still strong, his bomb disposal skills were first-rate, and he shocked the famous police officers in the Metropolitan Police Department - this kind of thing can be solved in three minutes.

"Ding dong, ding dong."

The doorbell of Matsuda's house rang, and a young man with black curly hair and yawning lazily opened the door impatiently. It seemed that he had been waiting at the door for a while. "I said, Hagiwara, why did you come just now?"

"Hey, Matsuda, don't be so anxious. I rushed here as soon as I received your call." The young man with a 7:3 bangs hairstyle and a habitual smile on the corners of his mouth shrugged.

"But what's the matter that made you call me here in such a hurry? You didn't explain it clearly over the phone." Hagiwara Kenji took off his shoes at the entrance, changed into his slippers that were always prepared in the Matsuda family, and went up to the second floor.

Idiot, how can you just talk about encountering a monster and bringing it home over the phone?!

If I really told you, you would probably think I had a fever or something was wrong with my brain.

"I feel that I cannot hide this from you. After all, you are the closest person to me now," Matsuda Jinpei paused and looked at Hagiwara with a little pity in his eyes, "But if you ask me to tell you all this, I don't know how to start..."

Matsuda Jinpei waved his hands feebly, "Well, you can find out if you go to my room."

"Okay, okay, I'm really impressed by you." Hagiwara Kenji held his forehead and said helplessly.

The two of them walked straight to Matsuda Jinpei's bedroom. Hagiwara Kenji walked in front and opened the door.

After taking a clear look at everything in the room, he quickly closed the door.

The room was dark and unlit, with only the dim light of the setting sun after the rain shining in. On the large pure gray bed, a young man lay quietly, his right hand and right foot handcuffed to the head and foot rails respectively.

The boy's face was tilted in profile, so his features were not fully visible, but overall one could still tell that he was very good-looking.

This scene took place in the home of a police officer who was always upright but disorganized and undisciplined, and who always gave people the feeling that he would commit a crime at any second. Kenji Hagiwara couldn't help but imagine a lot.

"What, what's wrong, Hagiwara?" Matsuda looked at his friend who suddenly looked serious, and felt a little nervous being led along.

Hagiwara Kenji exhaled slowly, reached out and grabbed Matsuda Jinpei's shoulder, "I really didn't expect you to be such a person, Matsuda..."

"Right, I didn't expect that I would do this." I was so reckless and heartless to bring someone home, and only found out after I got home that the person was a monster. What can I do? I really regret it!

"You confessed to me, which means you regret it... I have previously assumed that if you, as a police officer, broke the law knowingly, what would I do as your partner?"

Matsuda Jinpei, who was nodding at the first half of his friend's words, suddenly burst out in the next second: "Wait, what are you talking about, you idiot?"

What did he do, what law did he break?

"Listen, while there's still time, go to the police station and turn yourself in. I'll also find the best lawyer to seek leniency for you and strive for a not guilty plea," Hagiwara Kenji, who was not affected by Matsuda, continued to speak to himself, "But I really didn't expect you to be such a person, Matsuda, you pervert!"

He grabbed Matsuda Jinpei's shoulders and began to shake him violently.

, "Tell me how long you have been eyeing this kid."

Matsuda Jinpei was shaken and said, "What are you talking about, bastard Hagiwara? I just saw him lying on the street and picked him up..."

Jinpei Matsuda felt that he was wronged.

"What? You fell in love with me at first sight? I knew you would never do such a thing under normal circumstances. You must have been overwhelmed by the feeling of first love and made such a mistake on impulse. Listen to me and hurry up..."

Either becoming perverted in silence or exploding in silence, Matsuda Jinpei felt the veins in his temples throbbing. He grabbed Hagiwara Kenji by the collar and shouted into his ear, "I say, can you listen to me, please!!!"

Xinei, this guy with a head full of yellow garbage, really, why was I so blind as to become friends with him!

The two of them returned to the first floor. Matsuda Jinpei felt that if he told Hagiwara the story in the bedroom, Ikki would probably remember the young monster in the bedroom and would probably beat him up again.

After being severely punished by the iron fist, Hagiwara Kenji obediently picked up the coffee, blew it gently, and took a sip. "You said that you picked up an unknown monster and brought it home. You were afraid that he had some superpowers and would attack you, so you tied him up?"

Matsuda Jinpei crossed his hands and supported his chin, nodding with an imperial vigor, "It's not the plot of a police officer imprisoning minors in a dark room as you imagined in your paramecium-like brain. It's all garbage."

"Yes, yes, I'm really sorry." Kenji Hagiwara raised his right hand in a gesture of surrender.

He lay back, leaning against the soft sofa. "But have you ever thought about this? If the other person really has some special ability, handcuffs won't be able to hold him. He might wake up and kill you as easily as cutting a watermelon."

"What can I do? I can only seek psychological comfort. If someone is really dead, then everyone has their own destiny," Jinpei Matsuda put his hands behind his head.

"Besides, I called you here. If he wakes up and wants to kill me, you should still stay with me." Matsuda Jinpei raised an eyebrow at his friend.

"Wow - what a vicious heart, Matsuda!" Hagiwara Kenji screamed, and then he and Matsuda Jinpei looked at each other, and suddenly both of them burst into laughter.

"Hahahaha, I won't say much, let's go up and take a look. To be honest, even though that boy is a monster, my intuition tells me that he is not a bad guy. You know, my intuition is very strong."

Matsuda Jinpei looked at the clock hanging on the wall of the living room on the first floor. "He has been unconscious for so long. I have treated his wounds and stopped the bleeding. Although I don't know what the difference is between the body structures of monsters and humans, he should wake up at least."

"There's no point in thinking too much, let's go." This time it was Matsuda's turn to take the lead, and Hagiwara pushed him from behind.

Yakuen was awakened by the slam of the door after Hagihara Kenji opened it. His confused mind became completely clear after hearing the conversation between Hagihara Kenji and Matsuda Jinpei.

The soundproofing of the room was not very good to begin with, and coupled with the short sword's detection value, Yaoyan was able to hear everything the two people were talking about.

No, are all people like this these days? I thought this was a type of cerebral healer syndrome that only sword spirits suffer from.

Yao Yan stared at the ceiling with dead eyes.

Hmm? This perspective seems a little off, something is blocking part of my vision... Yakuin was originally wondering why the police officer outside the door thought he was a monster, but when he put his free left hand on his forehead, he understood.

He called up the game system panel again, which displayed a 3D full-body portrait, which reflected Yaoyan's current appearance. As expected, Yaoyan saw himself with a unicorn horn on it.

Transformed into Yaken My Little Pony Toushirou! (crossed out)

After studying it for a while, the drug researcher discovered that the unicorn horn was actually a fashion pendant. When put on, the combat power skyrocketed. Of course, this pendant can be removed under normal circumstances.

After finding out that it could be removed, Yao Yan removed it without saying a word. What nonsense! In the normal scientific world, people with unicorn horns and inhuman fighting power do not want to enter the research institute of a crazy scientist.

“Sizzle—sizzle—”

This familiar voice reminded Yao Yan of the game system that had been activated before he traveled through time and space.

"The Sword Dance game system is loading, known errors have been fixed, and repositioning is in progress."

"Location successful, the current time and space is "That damn sweet woman - ah ~ Shirley ~""

The author has something to say: I am writing about my white moonlight. I don’t know how many people still remember him, but he will always be a regret in my heart.

[1] This is an adaptation of Mazda-kun’s line in Zero’s Daily Life: “Go and become the top of the Metropolitan Police Department, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner.”
