Chapter 232 Have you seen enough?

Chapter 232 Have you seen enough? President Mo

There was always a beautiful curve at the corner of Fu Linghe's lips, but the smile did not reach his eyes.

He gestured to the waiter behind him, and the waiter immediately handed him an exquisite sandalwood box.

Fu Linghe put his arm around Yun Zheng's waist and spoke in a deep voice, "Mr. Lin, happy 70th birthday! May you live a long and healthy life!"

He tapped the box lightly with his fingertips, and the lid slid open a little, revealing the white jade chess pieces inside that were as smooth as fat. The black pieces were dark in color, and the white pieces were as translucent as snow.

"I heard that Mr. Lin likes playing chess, so Zheng Zheng picked this for you personally."

Fu Linghe glanced at Mr. Lin's eyes, which were filled with joy, and said in a slow and serious tone, "At seventy years old, there is no regret in making a move. I wish you all the best."

He deliberately pronounced the last syllable lightly, like the crisp sound of a chess piece hitting a chessboard.

Old Master Lin's eyelids twitched. He felt uncomfortable listening to Fu Linghe's words. Anyway, they didn't come from the heart, and he always felt that there was a deeper meaning behind them.

He paused twisting the chess piece in his hand, raised his eyes and met Fu Linghe's meaningful gaze.

"Grandpa Lin, do you like it?" Yun Zheng's gentle tone broke the slightly awkward situation.

Mr. Mo placed the chess piece in his hand back into the brocade box, closed the lid, and put on that kind smile again. "I like it very much. Thank you, Zhengzheng. You two are very thoughtful."

"Then we won't disturb you, Mr. Lin, from entertaining the guests." Fu Linghe tightened his arms around Yun Zheng and glanced down at her with eyes full of doting.

"Okay, okay, there's juice and cakes over there. Eat some to fill your stomach first."

Fu Linghe nodded slightly as a response. He half-hugged Yun Zheng and walked towards the rest area on the side.

Mr. Mo looked at the backs of the two men, and the smile on his lips disappeared instantly.

He waved to the waiter who was serving juice, "Send some juice and a small cake to that gentleman and lady. Remember to bring a glass straw and a spoon."

"Okay." The waiter nodded, turned around and went to deliver things to Yun Zheng and the others.

The waiter carried the tray and carefully made his way through the crowd.

The juice in the crystal glass reflected an amber glow under the light. The glass straw gently hit the wall of the glass, making a subtle sound. "Miss, sir, this is sent by Mr. Lin."

Yun Zheng was adjusting the hem of her skirt when she heard the voice and raised her head. "Put it there, thank you."

Yun Zheng's eyes lit up slightly as she looked at the fragrant and soft little cake.

The delicate little cake is decorated with bright red strawberries and delicate cream, exuding an enticing sweet fragrance.

Her fingertips rested lightly on the edge of the table, and her body unconsciously leaned forward.

Fu Linghe noticed her movements, lowered his eyes to glance at the cake, then looked into her slightly shining eyes, and the corners of his lips curled up slightly.

He reached out and pushed the cake towards her and whispered, "Want to eat?"

Yun Zheng nodded and reached out to grab the spoon, but Fu Linghe gently grabbed her wrist halfway.

Fu Linghe's fingertips gently stroked her wrist, and the warm touch made Yun Zheng's ears slightly red.

He picked up a small spoon, scooped a corner of the soft cake, and handed it to her lips, "Try it."

Yun Zheng opened her mouth subconsciously, and the moment the cream melted on her tongue, she squinted her eyes in satisfaction.

Fu Linghe stared at the cream on her lips, his eyes darkening.

"Is it sweet?" He said in a hoarse voice.

"Hmm!" Yun Zheng nodded. Suddenly, she noticed his Adam's apple moving slightly, and for some unknown reason, she scooped a spoonful and handed it to him. "Would you like to try it too?"

Fu Linghe was stunned for a moment, then lowered his head and held the spoon in his mouth.

When the small spoon was slowly pulled away from his lips, Yun Zheng's fingertips accidentally brushed against his lower lip, and she retracted her hand as if she had been electrocuted.

"It's indeed sweet." He said with a hint of meaning, suddenly leaning closer to her ear, "but not as sweet as Mrs. Fu."

Yun Zheng's eyelashes trembled in panic. She was about to move away, but he pulled her closer.

"Don't mess around, there are so many people here!" Yun Zheng reached out and gently pinched Fu Linghe's waist, lowering her voice to warn him.

Fu Linghe chuckled softly, a vibration of pleasure overflowing from his throat, but he deliberately moved closer, his nose almost touching her earlobe.

"What are you afraid of?" His hot breath was tinged with the smell of tobacco, but it wasn't unpleasant. "It's legal!"

Yun Zheng's ears felt hot, and her fingertips pressed against his chest, but she couldn't push him away at all.

She glared at him in embarrassment, "Fu Linghe!"

"Yeah, I'm here." Fu Linghe responded casually.

He let go of her hand, his expression returned to normal, and he wiped the cream from the corner of her lips with his fingertips, then slowly put it into his mouth.

Yun Zheng looked at his actions and her face instantly turned red!

At the same time, on the second floor of the reception room, a slender figure beside the carved railing was looking down at them.

The man held an unlit cigarette between his fingers, and his eyes behind his gold-rimmed glasses were dark and unclear.

He raised his hand to push up his gold-rimmed glasses, then turned and disappeared into the shadows.

The moment the man turned around, Fu Linghe's gaze fell on the direction he left, and the corners of his lips slightly curled up.

Yun Zheng gently tugged at Fu Linghe's sleeve and whispered, "I want to go to the bathroom."

Fu Linghe immediately stood up and picked up her coat that was draped over the back of the chair. "I'll go with you."

The two of them ascended the spiral staircase to the second floor. The light from the crystal chandelier played on Yun Zheng's skirt, and Fu Linghe's hand remained loosely on her waist, as if protecting fragile glass.

As they turned the corner of the corridor, Yun Zheng suddenly stopped. She felt as if a pair of eyes were watching them from the shadows.

But when I looked back, I only saw the flickering candlelight on the wall.

"What's wrong?" Fu Linghe followed her gaze.

"It's okay." Yun Zheng shook her head, but when she turned around, she caught a glimpse of a slender shadow passing quickly on the ground.

Her heart tightened and she unconsciously leaned closer to Fu Linghe.

Meanwhile, the lounge area on the first floor.

The waiter wearing white gloves quickly took away Yun Zheng's used glass and spoon, along with the lipstick-stained straw, and put them into a sealed bag.

The waiter placed the sealed bag into the safe, then turned and handed it to the bodyguard through the back door. "The master said to send it for testing immediately. We must get the test results as soon as possible."

"Yes." The bodyguard took the safe, turned around and quickly got into the car.

The black sedan slid into the silent night, its taillights drawing a scarlet arc around the corner.

Fu Linghe accompanied Yun Zheng to the bathroom door before he released his hand from her waist.

"Okay, go ahead, I'll wait for you here."

Yun Zheng nodded, lifted her skirt and went into the bathroom.

Only after Yun Zheng's figure completely disappeared from his sight did Fu Linghe withdrew his gaze lovingly.

Fu Linghe leaned against the gilded carved railing on the second floor, his slender fingers tapping the relief patterns intermittently.

The corridor lights cast a matte sheen on his features, and the fabric of his suit created sharp shadows at his waistline.

He casually unbuttoned his cuffs, revealing the slightly bulging veins on his wrists.

When the sound of string music from the banquet hall downstairs floated up, he suddenly opened his eyelids, and his amber pupils shrank into a slit in the dark.

Facing the slightly shaking door of the fire escape on the third floor.

"Have you seen enough?" Fu Linghe suddenly chuckled, and a black gold lighter appeared at his fingertips. "Boss Mo!"

The crisp sound of the metal cover opening and closing exploded in the empty corridor, and flames quickly bloomed at his slender fingertips.

Fu Linghe lowered his head and lit the cigarette he was holding between his fingers, letting the scarlet light flicker on his lips. The smoke swept across his drooping eyelashes, casting spider-web-like cracks on the mirrored railings.
