Chapter 245 Yun Zheng locked herself in the room

Chapter 245 Yun Zheng locked herself in the room

Mo Chenfeng looked at Ning Zhi's stubborn back, and his Adam's apple rolled.

He leaned over to her ear, his voice as light as a feather brushing past, "I'm not going to the capital anymore. I'm not going anywhere. Where do you want to go to relax? I'll accompany you."

Ning Zhi's shoulders trembled slightly, and she finally turned around slowly.

Her eyes were red and swollen, like a frightened deer.

Mo Chenfeng's heart tightened even more, and his fingertips gently wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes.

"Really... not going to the capital?" Her voice trembled slightly. "What about work?"

"Well, I won't go." He held her cold hand, placed it on his lips and kissed it, "Shi An will take care of things over there."

There was finally a glimmer of light in Ning Zhi's eyes, like a star suddenly flashing in the night sky.

She hesitated for a moment, but finally nodded.

Mo Chenfeng reached out and held her tightly in his arms, never wanting to let her go.

——

On the other side, in the capital's Tanxi Garden.

Yun Zheng has been in a bad state. After returning from Country A, she has been locking herself in her room and has not said a word to Fu Linghe.

In the master bedroom, heavy curtains blocked out the sunlight, leaving only a dim darkness.

Yun Zheng curled up in the corner of the bed, her arms wrapped around her knees, staring blankly at the faint light coming in through the window.

It has been almost two days since she returned from Country A. She has hardly eaten anything and has lost a lot of weight. Her once bright eyes are now bloodshot, and there is a dark blue under her eyes.

Fu Linghe stood outside the door, holding the freshly cooked seafood porridge in his hand. It was Yun Zheng's favorite.

He raised his hand and knocked gently on the door, his voice very soft, "Zheng Zheng, I asked Mrs. Chen to cook your favorite porridge, would you like to try some?"

There was dead silence inside the door.

Fu Linghe's Adam's apple rolled, and his chest felt like it was being pressed by a huge rock.

He tried to unlock the door with his fingerprint, but unfortunately it was locked from the inside and couldn't be opened at all.

Fu Linghe was so anxious that he wanted to break down the door, but he was afraid of scaring her, so he could only stand outside and worry.

"Zheng Zheng, I left it at the door. If you're hungry, just eat some, okay?" There was a cautious plea in his voice, but he still didn't get any response.

Fu Linghe placed the bowl of porridge on the tray by the door and turned to walk towards the study.

His steps were heavy, his suit jacket casually draped over his shoulders, his tie long loosened.

There were piles of documents in the company waiting for him to process, but at this moment his mind was full of Yun Zheng's lifeless eyes.

Back in the study, Fu Linghe called Jiang Chenyu.

"Jiang Chenyu, aren't you a doctor? The patient is in the room and refuses to come out. Why don't you think of a solution?" Fu Linghe's voice was hoarse, and he deliberately suppressed his anger.

Jiang Chenyu was also helpless, "Boss, I'm a surgeon, not a psychiatrist. Haven't you heard that heart disease needs to be treated with heart medicine?"

"Speaking of which, what on earth did you do to make your sister-in-law angry? You two just went to Country A together, and how come you ended up like this after you came back?"

Jiang Chenyu had seen how loving they were, so he didn't believe that Yun Zheng would really ignore Fu Linghe.

If even the eldest brother can't coax his sister-in-law, then no one in the entire capital can coax her!

Fu Linghe tightened his grip on the phone, his expression gloomy.

It's all the fault of those Mohists!

"If you can't solve it, there's no need to keep talking nonsense."

Fu Linghe hung up the phone right after he finished speaking.

He looked down at his phone, thought for a moment, and dialed Cen Lian'an's number.

I simply told her about Yun Zheng's condition and asked her to come over and keep her company.

Half an hour later, Cen Lian rushed to Tanxi Garden.

She didn't even bother to glance at Fu Linghe and walked straight to the bedroom upstairs.

No matter what Fu Linghe said, she didn't believe it. She just held on to one thing: if Fu Linghe hadn't offended Yun Zheng, how could she ignore him?

Cen Lian stood outside the master bedroom of Tanxiyuan, took a deep breath, raised his hand and knocked on the door gently.

"Zheng Zheng, it's me, An An." She lowered her voice very softly, as if she was afraid of disturbing something. "Can you please let me in?"

There was still dead silence inside the door.

Fu Linghe stood at the stairs, his suit jacket already taken off, his shirt cuffs rolled up to his elbows, revealing his sturdy forearms.

His brows were furrowed, and his eyes were fixed on the closed door, as if he wanted to burn through it with his gaze.

Cen Li'an turned around and glared at him, then lowered his voice and said, "You'd better stay away. She won't open the door if she hears you."

Fu Linghe's jawline tightened, but he still took a few steps back obediently and turned to go downstairs.

After making sure Fu Linghe had left, Cen Lian turned to the door again, opened the combination lock, and skillfully pressed a string of numbers.

She hadn't wanted to go in this way, but now it seemed she had no choice.

Click the OK button and the password lock will open.

The door opened a crack, and thick darkness seeped out from the gap.

"Zheng Zheng?" Cen Lian pushed open the door, and was greeted by stagnant air.

In the light from the corridor, she saw a figure curled up in a ball on the bed.

Yun Zheng had lost a lot of weight and looked very bad. Her long hair was draped over her shoulders in disarray. She was still wearing the beige sweater she had worn when she returned from Country A three days ago, but it was now wrinkled beyond recognition.

Cen Lian'an's heart suddenly tightened.

She closed the door gently, without turning on the light, and groped her way to the bed and sat down.

"Oh my God, how did you get yourself like this?" She reached out to touch Yun Zheng's shoulder, but stopped in mid-air.

Yun Zheng's shoulders were trembling slightly.

Cen Li'an withdrew his hand and said softly, "I'll be here with you. It's okay if we don't talk."

The room was so quiet that only the sound of their breathing could be heard. After a long moment, Yun Zheng finally moved and slowly raised her head.

In the dim light, her eyes were very red and swollen, her face was as pale as paper, and her lips were chapped.

"An An..." Her voice was so hoarse that it was almost inaudible, "Why are you here..."

"That bastard Fu Linghe called me and said you refused to eat or drink since returning from Country A." Cen Li'an tried to keep his tone light. "You know, I can't bear to see beautiful women suffer."

Yun Zheng tried to pull the corners of her mouth together but failed to form a smile.

She lowered her head again, her fingers unconsciously twisting the corner of the quilt.

"What exactly happened?" Cen Li'an asked cautiously, "What did you encounter in Country A?"

Yun Zheng's body stiffened noticeably.

She shook her head, and her long hair fell down to cover her palm-sized face.

"It's okay if you don't want to talk about it." Cen Lian sighed softly, "But can you at least drink some water? Your lips are cracked."

Cen Li'an quickly poured a glass of water and fed it to Yun Zheng's lips. "Okay, dear, drink a little. I'll be worried if you do this."
