Chapter 276 Why? Are you afraid I'll poison you?
Yun Zheng fled back to the room, her back resting against the door frame. Her breathing was still heavy, and she hadn't come to her senses yet.
She calmed down a little before turning around and going to the cloakroom.
Just as I found the clothes I wanted to change, the door of the cloakroom was pushed open from the outside.
Yun Zheng paused while unbuttoning her clothes, clutched the clothes on her chest tightly, turned around and looked towards the door vigilantly.
The man lazily leaned against the door, looking at her leisurely, "Didn't Madam say to change clothes? Why don't you change?"
As Fu Linghe spoke, he walked up to her and looked down at her blushing cheeks.
He leaned too close, and the crisp woody scent on his body enveloped her whole body.
When Yun Zheng came to her senses, she had no idea how she had ended up in the man's arms.
"How can I change if you don't go out?" she blurted out almost subconsciously.
"Why can't you change it? I won't get in your way." Fu Linghe chuckled and raised his hand to touch her buttons. "Or does Madam want me to help?"
"Get out!" Yun Zheng slapped his hand away and cursed under her breath with a red face.
Fu Linghe was amused by her little action and let her go. "Okay, I won't bother you anymore. I'll go to the bedroom and wait for you."
Without anyone disturbing her, Yun Zheng quickly changed her clothes and came out.
"Let's go." She took small steps towards the man. Fu Linghe naturally took her hand and went downstairs together.
The young couple went straight to the restaurant, where Mrs. Chen had already filled the table with steaming hot food.
Jiang Chenyu couldn't wait to pull out a chair and sit down, his eyes fixed on the plate of sweet and sour pork ribs.
"Sister-in-law, you're finally here," he said as he put food into his bowl, "I'm starving."
Fu Linghe glanced at him coldly, "No one asked you to wait."
Jiang Chenyu pretended not to hear, then suddenly looked upstairs as if remembering something. "By the way, what about Miss Cen? Is she sober?"
Yun Zheng took the soup from Fu Linghesheng and replied softly, "I asked the kitchen to make some porridge and keep it warm. I'll bring it up when she wakes up."
She paused. "She drank a bit too much today. I think she'll be sleeping late."
Jiang Chenyu nodded, and suddenly lowered his voice mysteriously, "By the way, did Miss Cen encounter any problems? Why did you drink so much?"
Fu Linghe picked up a piece of fish and put it into Yun Zheng's bowl. Without even looking up, he said, "Don't ask about other people's affairs. Even having food won't stop you from talking."
"I'm just concerned," Jiang Chenyu muttered unconvincedly, "After all, she's my sister-in-law's best friend. I don't care about anyone else!"
Yun Zheng pursed her lips, not knowing how to start. "An An might be feeling a bit stressed lately."
Jiang Chenyu had clearly heard her calling a man's name just now, and he could actually guess something, so he didn't say anything more and quietly lowered his head to eat his food.
After dinner, Jiang Chenyu said hello to the young couple and returned to his room.
Although he has a very good relationship with the eldest brother, closer than brothers, he is married now after all, so he still has a sense of propriety.
Cen Lian, who was in the guest room upstairs, slept until the next morning.
The sunlight poured into the room through the gap in the curtains. Cen Lian frowned and slowly opened his eyes.
A sharp pain immediately exploded from her temples. She couldn't help but groan and raised her hand to press on her swollen and aching head.
She was about to speak, but her throat was so dry as if she had swallowed a handful of sand, and she couldn't make any sound.
Cen Lian struggled to sit up, looked around at the unfamiliar environment, then looked down and saw that he had been changed into clean clothes. His brows furrowed slightly.
Memories are like broken mirrors, with only scattered fragments left.
She lifted the quilt and walked out barefoot. When she opened the door, she found that she was in Tanxiyuan. Her heart finally settled down.
Cen Lian just breathed a sigh of relief and was about to turn back to his room when he heard a deep and pleasant male voice coming from not far away, "Wake up, do you want to drink whiskey or tequila today?"
She looked in the direction of the sound and saw Jiang Chenyu leaning lazily against the door frame, his slender figure outlined by the morning light.
He had one hand in his suit trouser pocket and the other hand casually twirling a silver lighter. Two buttons were undone on the collar of his black silk shirt, revealing a sharp collarbone.
The cuffs were rolled up to the forearms, revealing faintly the winding blue veins, and a dark blue mechanical watch on the wrist was emitting a cold glow.
His hair was a little messy, as if he had just casually combed it. His peach blossom eyes under his brows were slightly raised, with a playful smile.
Cen Lian was a little dazed for a moment. The dull pain of the hangover made her react a little slowly. She subconsciously took a step back and leaned her lower back against the door handle. The cold touch made her a little more sober.
"What's it to you?" she asked unhappily.
Jiang Chenyu chuckled, closed his lighter with a click, stood up, and walked towards her slowly.
As the distance got closer, Cen Lian could smell the faint scent of cedar on him, mixed with a hint of tobacco, which inexplicably made his heart beat faster.
"It's none of my business?" He stopped in front of her, leaned forward slightly, his eyes fell on the tip of her red ear, and said in a long tone, "Ms. Cen, have you forgotten how you got back yesterday?"
Cen Lian frowned slightly when she heard this. She thought about it carefully, but her mind was blank.
She looked at the overly handsome face in front of her, took a step back, and snorted coldly, "Could it be that you carried me back?"
Jiang Chenyu raised his eyebrows handsomely, raised his hand and snapped his fingers in front of her eyes, "That's right, but it's not carrying, it's hugging, like a princess hug!"
He looked at Cen Lian with a half-smile, his tone a bit nonchalant, "Miss Cen looks thin, but she's quite..."
Jiang Chenyu looked at Cen Lian'an, who was frowning and recalling the past, and continued to tease with a smile, "Ms. Cen, how do you want to thank your savior?"
Cen Lian looked at the man who was approaching him step by step, narrowed his eyes slightly, obviously not believing what he said.
Just as she was about to open her mouth to refute, she heard Yun Zheng's voice coming from not far away, "An An, are you awake?"
Both of them looked in the direction where the sound came from.
When Jiang Chenyu saw Yun Zheng, the smile on his face widened. "Sister-in-law, you came just in time. Can you tell her if I was the one who brought her back yesterday?"
Yun Zheng looked at her best friend and nodded, "You were very drunk yesterday, and it was indeed Dr. Jiang who sent you back."
Jiang Chenyu on the side looked at her with a smug look on his face, as if to say, "Look, you should believe it this time!"
Cen Li'an knew her best friend had no reason to lie to her. She pursed her lips, glanced at Jiang Chenyu's smug expression, and reluctantly said, "Thank you."
Hearing this, Jiang Chenyu raised the corners of his lips slightly, took a step closer, and whispered, "That's it? Isn't Miss Cen's thanks too perfunctory?"
Cen Li'an raised her eyes and glared at him. The headache from the hangover made her tone even more aggressive. "So what do you want?"
Yun Zheng couldn't help laughing as she watched the two bickering. She interrupted at the right moment, "An An, the kitchen has made some hangover soup. Drink some first. It'll help you feel better."
Cen Lian rubbed his temples, nodded, and turned back to his room.
Jiang Chenyu suddenly reached out and grabbed her wrist, and said in a serious tone, "Wait."
Cen Li'an frowned and subconsciously wanted to shake off his hand, "What?"
Jiang Chenyu didn't let go, but leaned over slightly, took out a box of medicine from his pocket with his other hand, and handed it to her, "Hangover medicine, take it first before going down."
Cen Lian was stunned for a moment, looking at the medicine box in his hand, and didn't react for a while.
Seeing that she didn't move, Jiang Chenyu raised his eyebrows and returned to his provocative tone, "Why, are you afraid that I'll poison you?"
Cen Li'an snorted and grabbed the medicine box. "Who's scared?"
She opened the package neatly and swallowed a piece directly. Her movements were so quick that Jiang Chenyu couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
