Chapter 299 His embrace is more tempting than a hot spring!

Cen Lian watched the exquisite bamboo basket float in front of him. Inside were several packets of herbs and a bottle of essential oil. On the bottle were written four powerful words: "Promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis."

"This is..." She looked up and through the misty water vapor, she vaguely saw Jiang Chenyu's slender figure standing beside the screen, but he did not come closer.

"This is the recipe I asked someone to give you. It's very effective. Your feet won't bruise after soaking." His voice was low, slightly hoarse from the steam from the hot spring. "Three drops of essential oil, no more."

Cen Lian'an's fingertips trembled slightly as he picked up the bottle of essential oil and gently unscrewed the lid.

The crisp medicinal fragrance mixed with a hint of mint hit her face, making her slightly dazed.

"Thank you," she said softly.

"You really have to thank me." Jiang Chenyu seemed to chuckle, with a hint of lazy teasing in his voice, "How about Miss Cen consider a different approach?"

Cen Lian'an's ears felt hot, and before he could refute, he heard him say, "Call me when you're done. Don't try to be so stubborn and leave on your own."

After saying this, his figure disappeared behind the screen, leaving only the sound of light footsteps gradually fading away.

Cen Lian looked in the direction he left, his fingertips unconsciously stroking the bottle of essential oil, and his heart beat inexplicably faster.

She followed his instructions and dropped three drops of essential oil into the hot spring.

Tiny ripples appeared on the water surface, and the fragrance of the medicine quickly melted into the warm spring water. The place where the skin touched felt slightly warm, and the pain in the ankle seemed to be relieved a lot.

She exhaled lightly, leaned her head back against the edge of the pool, and let the hot spring water soak up her shoulders and neck.

Fifteen minutes later, Cen Lian came out of the hot spring wrapped in a bathrobe. The swelling in his ankle had mostly subsided, but it still hurt a little when he walked.

She hesitated for a moment, but still didn't press the call bell. She walked out slowly, holding on to the wall.

As soon as she opened the door of the bathhouse, a cold wind wrapped in fine snow blew towards her, and she subconsciously shrank her neck.

The next second, a warm suit jacket was draped over her shoulders.

"Didn't I tell you to call me?" Jiang Chenyu's voice came from above his head, low and with a hint of helplessness.

Cen Lian looked up and met his deep eyes.

In the night, his outline was particularly clear under the stone lanterns in the courtyard. His jawline was sharp and his thin lips were slightly pursed, seeming a little displeased.

"I...just feel like it's too much trouble for you." She explained in a low voice.

Jiang Chenyu didn't say anything, but suddenly leaned over, put one hand through her knees, put the other hand around her back, and picked her up sideways.

"Ah!" Cen Lian exclaimed and instinctively put his arms around his neck.

"Since you're afraid of bothering me," he lowered his eyes to look at her, a hint of a smile in his eyes, "then don't make me say it a second time."

Cen Lian's ears felt hot and he didn't dare move. He could only let him carry him through the corridor.

His chest was warm and firm, and his heartbeat could be heard through the fabric, steady and powerful.

The night wind was cool, and the moonlight sprinkled in the courtyard, casting a silver glow on the ground.

She raised her eyes quietly and saw his Adam's apple move slightly, and the taut curve of his jawline looked particularly beautiful.

"What are you looking at?" he suddenly asked in a hoarse voice.

Cen Lian hurriedly turned his eyes away, "No, nothing..."

Jiang Chenyu chuckled softly and didn't ask any more questions. He just tightened his arms and held her more firmly.

His embrace is more tempting than a hot spring!

——

On the other side, Fu Linghe and Yun Zheng were still soaking.

Yun Zheng loves taking hot spring baths. She either doesn't take a bath, or she won't come out for two or three hours after entering.

The hot spring mist rises in the soft light of the stone lanterns, shrouding the entire pool in a hazy atmosphere.

Yun Zheng leaned lazily against the wall of the pool, her white arms resting on the edge, her fingertips unconsciously paddling the water surface.

Beside her floated an exquisite cypress wood tray, laden with her favorite pastries, fresh strawberries, and a small pot of warm sake.

"Fu Linghe, would you like to try this Matcha Daifuku?"

She picked up a piece of emerald green dessert, and water droplets slid down her wrist, lingered briefly at her collarbone, and finally sank into the hot spring water.

Fu Linghe leaned on the other side of the pool, but his eyes never left her.

In the mist, Yun Zheng's skin was slightly flushed, her wet hair stuck to her neck, and a few drops of water were sliding down from her slightly open lips.

"No!" His Adam's apple moved slightly, his voice deeper than usual, "Because Mrs. Fu looks even more delicious than Matcha Daifuku."

Yun Zheng chuckled when she heard that, raised her hand and slowly took a bite of the daifuku, with matcha powder staining the corners of her lips.

She stretched out her tongue and licked it gently, looking at Fu Linghe provocatively, "Then come over and taste it yourself."

Fu Linghe's eyes darkened and he began to walk towards her step by step.

The hot spring water rippled with his movements, and the waves gently lapped against Yun Zheng's fair shoulders.

His pace was slow, as if he was deliberately prolonging the torturous distance, making every second filled with heart-pounding anticipation.

"You know what?" Fu Linghe's voice was slightly hoarse from the steam of a hot spring. "You look like a piece of dessert waiting to be eaten."

Yun Zheng deliberately leaned back so that the water just covered her collarbone.

The water droplets gathered into small puddles in the hollow of her delicate collarbone, trembling slightly with her breathing.

She picked up a strawberry and gently bit the tip, the bright red juice staining her lips red.

Fu Linghe finally walked in front of her, and the distance under the water was so close that they could feel each other's body temperature.

He reached out to remove the strawberry from between her lips, but instead pressed his thumb on her wet lower lip, stroking it slowly.

"I've changed my mind," he breathed against her ear. "I'd rather try the main course than the dessert."

Yun Zheng felt a shiver running up her spine, not sure if it was from the heat of the hot spring or his presence so close to her.

She tilted her head slightly, her nose almost touching his. "That depends on whether the main course is willing to be tasted."

Fu Linghe chuckled softly, and the laughter seemed to vibrate from deep in his chest, with an irresistible strength.

He placed one hand on the pool wall beside her ear and placed the other hand on the back of her neck, pulling her towards him.

The hot spring water ripples, the cypress tray floats away gently, and the food on it sways slightly.

"Every word you say." His lips were almost touching hers, "is a naked seduction of me."

Yun Zheng could feel the warmth of his chest coming through the water, which was even hotter than a hot spring.

Her heart was beating incredibly fast, but she still refused to give in. "Then why don't you take action?"

"Yun Zheng, you said it yourself!" Fu Linghe suddenly lowered his head and kissed her, tasting the sweetness of strawberries and the mellow aroma of sake.

Yun Zheng's hands unconsciously climbed up his shoulders, and her nails dug slightly into his tense muscles.

The waves hit the pool wall violently with their movements, and mist swirled around them.

Fu Linghe's hand slid into the water, grabbed her waist and pressed her tighter against him.

"Fu Linghe..." Yun Zheng called his name softly in between breaths, her voice already unnaturally soft.

"Hmm?" He responded, but his lips lingered on her neck.

"Should we... go back to the room?" She threaded her fingers into his hair, not knowing whether to push him away or bring him closer.

Fu Linghe raised her head, her dark eyes burning with the familiar desire, "Are you scared now?"

He tilted his head and chuckled in her ear, "It's too late."

Fu Linghe picked her up and water splashed everywhere.

Yun Zheng screamed and instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck.

Fu Linghe strode out of the hot spring, and water droplets rolled down their bodies, sparkling in the moonlight.

"Fu Linghe!" Yun Zheng shyly realized that both of them were soaked. "Our clothes are all wet."

Fu Linghe looked down at her, water droplets dripping from his chin onto her chest. "Do you think I still care about this now?"

He carried her through the corridor, the moonlight stretching their shadows very long.

In the distance, the light of the stone lanterns cast a warm orange-yellow glow, forming a sharp contrast with the silver glow here.
