Chapter 302 Zheng Zheng, Let’s Get Engaged

Chapter 302 Zheng Zheng, Let’s Get Engaged

Yun Zheng held the man's face, lowered her head, gave him a light kiss on the lips, and left.

Fu Linghe's Adam's apple rolled heavily, and the palm of his hand holding her waist suddenly tightened, pressing her deeper into his arms, "Yun Zheng, you are really playing with fire!"

Yun Zheng was caught off guard and bumped into his hard chest. She placed her hands on his chest, distanced herself from him, and rubbed her forehead, which was hurt by the collision. "Fu Linghe, you hurt me!"

Fu Linghe chuckled softly. He chuckled softly, and placed his warm palm on her slightly red forehead, rubbing it gently with his fingertips. His voice was low and doting, "Does it hurt?"

Yun Zheng curled her lips and was about to accuse him, but he suddenly grabbed her wrist and turned over. Their positions were instantly switched and they sank into the soft mattress.

His knee rested against her leg, one hand resting on her ear, the other still cupping her face, his thumb caressing her cheek subtly, a dark tide welling in his eyes. "Did it hurt? I'll make it up to you."

Before he finished speaking, he lowered his head and kissed her.

Unlike the light kiss she just had, this one was filled with irresistible force.

Fu Linghe smiled and stepped back a little, his nose touching hers, his voice hoarse, "You weren't going to tease me? Why can't you resist it first?"

Yun Zheng's ears felt hot, and she said stubbornly, "Who can't stand it? I just..."

"Really?" Fu Linghe interrupted in a deep voice, raising his hand to tidy up the messy hair on her forehead.

"Fu Linghe!" She pushed him away in embarrassment, but he grabbed her wrist and pressed it on top of her head.

He looked down at her condescendingly, with a playful smile in his eyes, and said in a low, hoarse voice, "Don't you want to play with fire? I'll play with you."

Yun Zheng's heart was pounding like a drum, and he made her whole body feel hot. However, she couldn't move at all. She could only glare at him with a red face, "You... stop bullying me!"

Fu Linghe chuckled softly, let go of her, turned over and lay on the side, wrapped his arms around her, and hugged her in his arms, resting his chin on the top of her head. His voice was still filled with lingering lust, "Okay, I won't bother you anymore, go to sleep, I'll remember this account first!"

Yun Zheng was stunned. She didn't expect him to actually stop at this point. She reached out and pinched his waist.

He groaned and grabbed her restless hand, "If you move again, you won't be able to sleep."

Yun Zheng really didn't move around and lay there quietly. Fu Linghe had no reason to touch her anymore.

Yun Zheng was held in Fu Linghe's arms, her back pressed against his warm chest, and she could clearly feel his steady breathing brushing against her head.

His palm remained on her lower abdomen, his fingertips gently rubbing circles on the fabric of her nightgown, "Are you still feeling uncomfortable?"

Yun Zheng shook her head, and was suddenly turned over by him so that they were facing each other. When their foreheads touched, she saw a tiny light reflected in his eyes.

"Zheng Zheng, let's get engaged." Fu Linghe put away the cynical look he had when he flirted with her just now, and his low voice was full of seriousness.

He lowered his head and placed a kiss on his forehead before continuing, "I'll ask Grandpa to pick a good day tomorrow morning to hold our engagement party. I still owe you one."

Yun Zheng's breathing stagnated, her eyes dimmed, and her fingertips curled up unconsciously.

"No need to go to all that trouble." She shrank into his arms, her voice muffled by the buttons of her pajamas. "We've already got the certificate."

Fu Linghe noticed her stiff reaction, gently stroked her wrist with his fingertips, and whispered, "What's wrong?"

Yun Zheng lowered her eyelashes and spoke in a voice so soft that it was almost inaudible: "An engagement party is too much trouble. We can just... do it this way, which is fine too."

He propped himself up and looked at her, his eyes burning. "Yun Zheng, look at me."

She pursed her lips and looked up, meeting his deep eyes. Fu Linghe held her face and said word by word, "It doesn't matter if the order is messed up, but I will give you everything I deserve. You will have everything others have."

"But..." Her fingertips unconsciously tugged at the corner of the quilt, "engagement is a matter between two families, I..."

Before she could finish her words, Fu Linghe suddenly kissed her lips, blocking all the inferiority complex she had.

The kiss was gentle yet strong. It wasn't until her tense body gradually softened that he leaned against her forehead and said in a hoarse voice, "The Fu family is your home."

Yun Zheng's eyes burned, and she turned away, "You know that's not what I meant..."

"I know." He pressed her into his arms, his chin rubbing against the top of her soft hair. "But you have to remember, from the day you agreed to marry me, my family is your family."

The moonlight outside the window shines through the gauze curtains, casting tiny shadows on her eyelashes.

Fu Linghe reached out to wipe away the tears from the corners of her eyes, and the heartache in his eyes was unstoppable.

Yun Zheng didn’t have no family. She chose him without hesitation between her biological parents and him.

If they are not together, and Yun Zheng's biological parents are not from the Mo family, then she also has biological parents.

"Zheng Zheng, just wait patiently for our engagement party. Don't worry about anything else. I will arrange it." Fu Linghe held her little hand, pulled it to his lips and kissed it.

Yun Zheng buried her head in the man's chest, said "OK" softly, and stopped talking.

Fu Linghe's hands gently patted her shoulders, trying to coax her to sleep like a child.

Yun Zheng had been tossing and turning all day, and soon fell into a deep sleep in Fu Linghe's arms.

——

The early morning sunlight shone into the bedroom through the gauze curtains, and Yun Zheng moved her eyelashes slightly in the warm embrace.

Fu Linghe's arms were still tightly wrapped around her waist, and his breath brushed evenly across the top of her hair.

"Awake?" A low, hoarse voice came from above my head, with the laziness that is unique to waking up in the morning.

Yun Zheng raised her head and met Fu Linghe's smiling eyes.

He bent down and placed a kiss on her forehead. "Did you sleep well?"

"Yeah." Yun Zheng snuggled into his arms, her nose rubbing against his collarbone exposed by the collar of his pajamas, and she smelled a faint woody scent. "It's still more comfortable to sleep at home."

Fu Linghe's palm touched the back of her head, his fingertips running through her soft hair. "Do you remember what I said last night?"

Yun Zheng's body stiffened slightly, and she instinctively wanted to avoid the topic of engagement.

She lowered her eyelashes and hummed softly.

Sensing her retreat, Fu Linghe held her face and forced her to look at him, "Zheng Zheng, look at me."

He stroked her cheek gently with his thumb. "If you really don't want to, we can just not do it."

Yun Zheng bit her lower lip and said, "It's not that I don't want to, it's just..."

"Just what?" His voice was gentle but firm.

"It's too much trouble, and..." Her voice trailed off, "It's inconvenient for us to get engaged."

Yun Zheng's eyes turned red instantly. She turned her face away, but Fu Linghe turned her face back forcefully.

"Listen," he pressed his forehead against hers, their breaths mingling, "you are my wife, the young lady of the Fu family. Leave all matters concerning the engagement banquet to me!"

Yun Zheng's tears finally fell, and Fu Linghe gently wiped them away with his fingertips. "Let's go back to the old house today and let Grandpa pick a date, okay?"

She finally nodded, and Fu Linghe smiled with satisfaction and pecked her on the lips. "Get up, I asked the kitchen to prepare your favorite shrimp dumplings."

Two hours later, Fu Linghe's black Maybach slowly drove into the courtyard of the Fu family's old house.

Yun Zheng looked at the magnificent Chinese-style house through the car window, and her fingers unconsciously tightened the hem of her skirt.

"Nervous?" Fu Linghe held her cold hand.

Yun Zheng forced a smile, "A little bit."

"I'm here." He squeezed her fingers, then said to the driver, "Drive directly to the main house."

As soon as the car stopped, the housekeeper, Uncle Chen, came out to greet us. "Master, Madam, the old man and the old lady have been waiting for you in the living room since early morning."

Fu Linghe held Yun Zheng's hand and walked into the house, giving her a sense of security.

In the living room, Mr. Fu was making tea while the old lady was watching.

Seeing the two people come in, the old lady's eyes immediately lit up, "Zheng Zheng is here! Come and sit down!"

Yun Zheng politely called out to everyone one by one, "Grandpa, Grandma, Dad, Mom."

"Okay, okay, stop standing and sit down." The old man smiled so much that wrinkles appeared at the corners of his eyes.

Fu Linghe pulled Yun Zheng to sit on the sofa, "Grandpa, we have something to discuss with you."

The old man smiled and poured a cup of tea for each of the young couple. "What's so serious?"

"I plan to hold an engagement party." Fu Linghe went straight to the point.
