Chapter 325 You are hurt!
Mo Shian actually wanted to stay in the hospital with her, but thinking that Yun Zheng might not want him to stay here, he didn't want to force himself to stay here and get in her way.
He looked at the faint shadows under Yun Zheng's eyes, his eyes full of heartache. "I have a meeting at the company, so I'll go back first."
He calmly took a half step back and said, "If you need anything, feel free to contact me. I'm here 24 hours a day."
Yun Zheng stroked the warm glass with her fingertips and nodded gently, "Okay."
After getting her answer, Mo Shian turned and walked out.
He suddenly stopped at the door and turned to look at the frail figure. "I'll have someone bring lunch over later. Eat something."
Yun Zheng still nodded gently. The breeze blew through the curtains and lifted her hair slightly, adding a sense of fragmentation to her lonely figure.
After leaving the hospital, Mo Shian went directly to the parking lot and drove back to the old house.
The scenery outside the car window quickly receded, and his fingers unconsciously tightened on the steering wheel.
The car quickly drove into the Mo family villa. As soon as Mo Shian parked the car and got out, he saw two familiar figures at the door.
He got out of the car and walked quickly towards them, "Dad, Mom."
Not far away, Mo Chenfeng's hand lightly rested on Ning Zhi's waist, and the couple turned to look at him at the same time.
Ning Zhi was in good condition and emotionally stable these two days, so Mo Chenfeng took her back to the old house.
When she is not sick, she is no different from ordinary people.
"Shi'an, where did you go so early in the morning?" Ning Zhi looked at her dusty son and asked in confusion.
"I just went out for something." Mo Shi'an looked at his mother and answered casually.
As he approached, Ning Zhi smelled the disinfectant on him, "Shi An, why do you smell like disinfectant? Are you injured?"
As she said this, she reached out and pulled her son to check him.
Mo Shian was stunned for a moment, then quickly took a half step back, "Mom, I'm fine. I just went to the hospital to see a friend and I smelled disinfectant."
Ning Zhi narrowed her eyes suspiciously, her fingertips suspended in the air, neither retracting nor releasing.
She knew her son too well. Mo Shian had always been calm and composed.
The panic hidden in his eyes at this moment is more telling than the pungent smell of disinfectant on his body.
"Seeing a friend? Which friend do you need to rush to the hospital so early in the morning? Do I know him?"
Mo Chenfeng looked at his son's panicked expression and seemed to have guessed something. He quickly reached out and embraced his wife, "Okay, Azhi, our son has his own social circle. I guess you wouldn't recognize them even if I told you."
"It's rare for your mother and I to come back, so you should eat at home today."
Mo Shian breathed a sigh of relief, glanced at his father gratefully, and nodded in response, "Okay, I'll have lunch with you."
Ning Zhi wanted to ask more, but her husband gently pinched her waist.
She glared at Mo Chenfeng in reproach, but ultimately said nothing more.
The father and his two sons walked into the villa together. Mr. Mo was sitting alone on the sofa, looking down at his phone in a daze.
Hearing footsteps, he turned off his phone and put it aside, then looked towards them.
He quickly adjusted his mood and said with a smile, "Zhizhi is back too?"
Ning Zhi raised a faint smile at the corner of her lips, "Dad."
"Mom, please stay here with grandpa for a while. I have some work matters to ask Dad." There was no emotion in Mo Shi'an's tone, as if he really had some work matters to discuss with his dad.
"Zhizhi, stay with dad for a while, I'll be down soon." Mo Chenfeng glanced at Ning Zhi, greeted her worriedly before going upstairs.
In the study upstairs, sunlight is filtering through the floor-to-ceiling windows, cutting the entire room into geometric shapes of light and dark.
Mo Shi'an's action of locking the door with his backhand made Mo Chenfeng raise his eyebrows.
"What's so mysterious?" Mo Chenfeng walked to the desk, put his hands on the table, and looked at his son.
Mo Shi'an stood in front of the window. The sunlight gilded his features, but it couldn't penetrate the haze in his eyes. "Dad, Zheng Zheng has come to Country A."
Mo Chenfeng paused his fingers on the table, a trace of worry flashing in his eyes, "So... the person you went to the hospital to see was Zheng Zheng"
Mo Shian frowned and nodded, "I guess so."
"Is she seriously injured?" Mo Chenfeng's tone was full of anxiety and worry.
Mo Shian shook his head gently, "It wasn't Zheng Zheng who was injured, it was Fu Linghe."
Mo Chenfeng's frown relaxed slightly after hearing this, "What's going on?"
"Fu Linghe went to Country F to handle work, and the plane back to Beijing lost contact over Country A. Zheng Zheng came from Beijing to find me in order to find Fu Linghe."
Mo Chenfeng's pupils shrank slightly, "When did it happen?"
"Three days ago." Mo Shi'an walked to the bookshelf, his fingertips unconsciously running across the spines of a row of hardcover books. "When the search and rescue team found him, he had been trapped in the wreckage for 15 hours."
The sunlight reflected a cold light on Mo Chenfeng's glasses. "How serious is the injury?"
"Multiple fractures throughout the body, intracranial hemorrhage." Mo Shi'an turned around, a shadow covering half of his face. "Doctor Smith said that if the blood clot is not absorbed within 72 hours, a craniotomy will be required."
"It's not a good situation anyway."
The study fell silent for a moment, and the rustling sound of a gardener pruning bushes could be heard outside the window.
Mo Chenfeng's brows knitted together tightly. He raised his hand and rubbed his eyebrows. "What about Zheng Zheng? How is she?"
"She..." Mo Shi'an's Adam's apple rolled. "Since she found Fu Linghe... no, to be more precise, since she learned about Fu Linghe's plane crash, she has hardly slept a wink."
Mo Chenfeng walked over to his son and patted his shoulder. "Make some arrangements and come with me to the hospital this afternoon."
"Dad." Mo Shi'an suddenly looked up, "Zheng Zheng..."
He chose his words carefully. "She's still a little resistant to us. If you rush over like this, it might irritate her."
Mo Chenfeng's eyes dimmed. "I understand. I'll just go over and take a look. Just a quick glance from a distance will be enough. I won't disturb her."
"Don't tell Mom yet." Mo Shi'an whispered, "Let's talk after I meet Zheng Zheng."
Mo Chenfeng nodded, "Let's go eat, don't let your mother get suspicious."
During lunch, Ning Zhi keenly noticed that her husband and son were a little absent-minded.
Mr. Mo was also unusually silent, only glancing at Mo Shian from time to time.
"Dad," Ning Zhi poured a bowl of soup for the old man, "You don't look well today. Did you not get enough rest last night?"
Mr. Mo took the bowl of soup and smiled a little reluctantly, "I'm old, and my sleep is shallow."
Ning Zhi turned to her husband again, "Chen Feng, can you accompany me to the mall this afternoon? The weather has been getting colder these days, so I'm going to buy some warmer clothes for Dad."
Mo Chenfeng and Mo Shian exchanged a look, "Okay, but it might be a little late. I have to go to the company with Shian to take care of something first?"
Just as Mo Shi'an was about to speak, Old Man Mo suddenly put down his chopsticks and said, "Zhizhi, the company's business is more important. Let them and their son take care of it. Well, I'll have the driver take you there. I also want to go to the hospital for a routine checkup."
Ning Zhi looked at the old man with a hint of worry in her eyes, "Dad, what's wrong with you?"
"It's just a routine checkup." The old man wiped his mouth. "I'm getting old, so I have to check more often."
Mo Shi'an clenched the chopsticks in his hand. He knew that his grandfather must know that they were going to see Zheng Zheng in the afternoon, so he was deliberately covering for them.
After lunch, Mo Chenfeng and Mo Shian went out on the pretext of having something to do at the company.
Before leaving, Mo Chenfeng still worriedly told Ning Zhi to wait for him at home.
Although her condition is stable now, it cannot be ruled out that she may be exposed to unexpected stimulation.
At three o'clock in the afternoon, the Mohist convoy drove towards the hospital.
Ning Zhi sat in the old man's car and always felt that the atmosphere today was a little weird.
"Dad," she said, looking out the window at the passing scenery, breaking the silence. "Why didn't you tell me beforehand that you were going to have the exam? I could have prepared."
The moment Mr. Mo saw her, he came back to his senses and laughed it off. "It's just some routine projects, don't be nervous."
When the convoy stopped at the hospital's VIP channel, Ning Zhi finally noticed something was wrong.
In the hospital's VIP physical examination center, Ning Zhi assisted Mr. Mo in undergoing the examinations one by one.
The old man really tried his best to cover up for the father and son, and he really did the physical examination!
"Your blood pressure is a bit high." The doctor frowned as he looked at the report. "Did the old man not take his medicine on time recently?"
Mr. Mo waved his hand and said, "It's okay to forget once or twice occasionally."
Ning Zhi suddenly became anxious, "Dad! How could you do this? Blood pressure medication must be taken on time every day!"
Mr. Mo sighed helplessly, but his eyes kept glancing at the clock on the wall.
Meanwhile, outside the intensive care unit.
Mo Shian and his father stood at the corner of the corridor, looking at the thin figure from afar through the glass window.
Yun Zheng sat motionless on the bench outside the ICU, with her hands folded against her forehead.
Her long hair was disheveled and she looked as if all the life had been drained from her.
Mo Chenfeng's heart ached suddenly, "Why does this child look so bad?"
"She hasn't slept for several days." Mo Shi'an said hoarsely, "She won't leave here until Fu Linghe wakes up."
The door of the intensive care unit suddenly opened, and Dr. Smith came out and said something to Yun Zheng.
She stood up suddenly, swayed and almost fell, and the doctor quickly supported her.
"I'll go take a look." Mo Shian subconsciously wanted to go forward, but was stopped by his father.
"Don't go." Mo Chenfeng shook his head. "Maybe she doesn't want us to see her vulnerable side."
After Dr. Smith left, Yun Zheng slowly slid back onto the bench and buried her face deeply in her palms.
Her thin shoulders were shaking violently, but no sound of crying could be heard.
Mo Chenfeng's Adam's apple rolled a few times, "How is the boy from the Fu family?"
"That was good news," Mo Shi'an whispered. "The blood clot in the brain has started to dissipate. Surgery isn't necessary for now."
Mo Chenfeng let out a long sigh and murmured softly, "That's good... That's good..."
As long as Fu Linghe is well, Yun Zheng will be fine too, there is no doubt about that.
They stood there quietly for a long time, until the nurse pushed the medicine cart past, and Yun Zheng raised her head.
There were traces of tears on her pale face and her eyes were frighteningly empty.
Mo Chenfeng suddenly turned around, not having the courage to continue reading, "Let's go."
"If I keep watching..." Mo Chenfeng's voice choked, "My old bones can't take it anymore."
On the way back, the father and son were silent.
Mo Chenfeng suddenly spoke up, "Contact the best nutritionist and have her three meals a day delivered to the hospital. Then have Aunt Wu pretend to be a nurse and come over to take care of her."
