Chapter 346: Once the 5 days are up, no one can help!

Chapter 346 Once the 5 days are up, no one can help!

The nurse pushed the medicine cart carefully into the ward, and the metal wheels made a slight "creaking" sound on the floor tiles.

When she looked up, she saw Fu Linghe's handsome yet cruel face. Her cheeks instantly flushed and she quickly lowered her head and pretended to tidy up the medicine tray.

"Mr. Fu, it's time to change the dressing." The young nurse's voice was as soft as a mosquito's, and her fingers were nervously twisting the edge of the gauze.

Fu Linghe slowly stood up, the desire in his eyes had not completely faded, but when he saw the outsider at the door, it immediately turned into a sharp cold light.

Yun Zheng could feel his muscles tense instantly, like a frightened cheetah.

She squeezed his wrist gently, rubbing her fingertips over his pulse soothingly.

"Thank you for your help." Yun Zheng straightened her slightly messy collar and gave the nurse a gentle smile, trying to ease the stagnant atmosphere in the room.

The nurse walked over quickly as if she had been pardoned, but shrank back when she saw Fu Linghe's gloomy face.

She deftly removed the bandage on his right arm, revealing a hideous wound that snaked from his elbow to his wrist.

The sutures were arranged neatly like centipede legs, and the surrounding skin had turned a healthy pink.

"It's healing well," the nurse said bravely, gently wiping the edges of the wound with a cotton swab dipped in disinfectant. "But Dr. Smith specifically instructed that the muscle tissue is still healing, so you should avoid strenuous exercise..."

She suddenly fell silent in the middle of her words because Fu Linghe was staring at her with a look that said, "I'll throw you out if you say one more word."

Seeing this, Yun Zheng quickly took over the conversation, "We will pay attention to it. Thank you for the reminder."

The dressing change process took place in eerie silence.

The young nurse's fingers were shaking slightly, and the cotton swab almost poked the wound several times.

Fu Linghe had a cold face throughout the whole process, and only when Yun Zheng held his left hand would his frown relax slightly.

"Okay... okay." The nurse finally applied a new bandage and evacuated the medicine tray. "If there's a fever or bleeding..."

"I understand." Fu Linghe interrupted her, his tone as hard as ice.

The young nurse almost ran away.

The moment the door closed, Yun Zheng heard a long sigh coming from outside.

She couldn't help but chuckle, but when she turned around, she saw Fu Linghe had already grabbed the back of her neck with one hand, and his hot breath hit her face.

"No one will disturb me now." His low voice was filled with a desire that had been suppressed for a long time.

Yun Zheng's response was interrupted by a sudden knock on the door.

This time it was not a polite tap, but three long and two short knocks with a specific rhythm.

Fu Linghe's temples were throbbing, and the veins on his forehead were clearly visible.

"Fuck." He squeezed out the word through his teeth and slammed his fist into the mattress with a dull thud.

The door was pushed open a crack, and Jiang Chenyu's angular face peeked in.

The man's narrow eyes moved between the two of them, and suddenly he showed a knowing smile. He clenched his right fist to his lips and coughed lightly.

"It seems we came at the wrong time." As he said this, he strode into the ward, followed by Lu Shiqian and Bo Jinnian who were also trying to hold back their laughter.

Fu Linghe grabbed the pillow and threw it at him, "You know this is not the right time to come in?"

Jiang Chenyu easily caught the flying "hidden weapon" and threw it to Lu Shiqian behind him. "We've already come in. Wouldn't it be more embarrassing to back out?"

He walked to the bedside, his eyes swept over Fu Linghe's naked upper body, raised an eyebrow and said, "You're recovering well."

"Very good." Fu Linghe said gritting his teeth, but his arms subconsciously wrapped around Yun Zheng's waist, the meaning of declaring sovereignty could not be more obvious.

Yun Zheng's ears felt hot, and she secretly pinched the soft flesh on his waist.

This action caused Fu Linghe to groan, and he glared at her, but reluctantly released his grip at her warning look.

Lu Shiqian handed over a fruit basket at the right time, his peach blossom eyes curved into crescents behind his gold-rimmed glasses, "Don't mind, sister-in-law, we just came to see if the boss is feeling better."

"Thanks to you, I'm full of life." Fu Linghe sneered, grabbed an apple and threw it accurately at Lu Shiqian's forehead, but the other party caught it nimbly.

Bo Jinnian always stood at a distance, with his hands in his pockets, calm and casual.

As the only doctor among the group, Jiang Chenyu focused more on Fu Linghe's wound. "The doctor's suturing skills are pretty good, but..."

He suddenly took two steps forward and pressed a spot on Fu Linghe's ribs before he could react. "Does it hurt here, Boss?"

"Hiss~, you fucking..." Fu Linghe sucked in a breath of cold air and almost jumped up from the bed.

Jiang Chenyu calmly withdrew his hand. "There's still a slight accumulation of fluid in the lungs. It's best to stay in the hospital for a few more days for observation."

Yun Zheng nodded gratefully, not noticing Fu Linghe's suddenly gloomy expression.

The man grabbed the hospital gown and put it on, not even bothering to button it, revealing a large, strong chest. "I told you I'm fine."

"The doctor has the final say." Yun Zheng held down his frantic hands and skillfully buttoned his shirt.

This natural and intimate action made the three onlookers look away tacitly.

Bo Jinnian walked to the window, his leather shoes making a steady sound as they stepped on the floor.

He turned his back to the crowd and drew aside the curtains. The setting sun immediately poured in, gilding his tall silhouette. "Since you're about to be discharged, the three of us will return to the capital."

He turned around, his sharp jawline clearly visible in the light and shadow. "We still need someone to take charge in the capital."

Fu Linghe's expression changed slightly.

Yun Zheng knew that they were referring to the Fu family's side branches that were eyeing them covetously.

"Well, you guys go back first." Fu Linghe's tone softened a bit, his right hand unconsciously stroking the end of Yun Zheng's hair, "This time more..."

"Stop it." Lu Shiqian waved his hand, his glasses reflecting the orange light. "Save those corny words for my sister-in-law."

He shook his car keys. "Our private jet is always on standby. Just call us if you need it."

Jiang Chenyu had already walked to the door, and the corners of his white coat fluttered in the wind in the corridor.

He looked back at Yun Zheng, his voice tinged with laughter, "Sister-in-law, take good care of this troublemaker."

After the door closed, the ward suddenly became quiet.

The afterglow of the setting sun cast long shadows on the floor, and soft music from the hospital radio came in the distance.

Yun Zheng leaned on Fu Linghe's shoulder and smelled his unique scent mixed with the smell of medicine.

"This is all thanks to them," she whispered, tracing the scar on his collarbone with her finger. "I don't know what I would have done without them."

"Oh, really?" Fu Linghe suddenly turned over and pressed her under him, his nose touching hers. "Now you can concentrate on thanking me."

He kissed her eyelids, his voice unyielding. "Five days, five days at the most, and we'll be home."

Yun Zheng softened beneath him, but she still insisted, "The doctor's approval is needed."

"Tsk, trouble." Fu Linghe bit her collarbone punitively, and when he heard her gasp of pain, he licked the tooth mark soothingly.

Fu Linghe's kiss was so powerful that Yun Zheng was pressed down on the hospital bed, her back sinking into the soft pillow.

She raised her hand and pressed it against his strong chest, deliberately applying a little force when her fingertips touched the edge of the gauze.

"Hiss~~" Fu Linghe felt pain, but refused to retreat. Instead, he bit her even harder. "Murdering your husband?"

"Didn't you hear Doctor Jiang say we need to observe for a few more days?"

Yun Zheng turned her head away from his lips, her hair scattered on the snow-white pillowcase. "Five days is a bargain for you."

Fu Linghe supported her ear with one hand and pinched her chin with the other hand, "Do you think I don't even know what's going on with my own body?"

He stroked her red lips with his thumb, a dark tide in his eyes, "Or..."

The man suddenly lowered his voice. "Are you worried about something else?"

Yun Zheng's ears suddenly felt hot, and she raised her leg to kick him, but the man, who was on guard, pinned her down with his knee.

The bed creaked under the weight of the bed, and she widened her eyes. "Fu Linghe! This is not our home!"

"So?" He raised his lip wickedly, his fingertips already unbuttoning the first button of her collar. "Who said 'just listen to the doctor'?"

Suddenly he leaned over and gave her collarbone a hard bite. "I need 'treatment' right now."

There were footsteps outside the door, and Yun Zheng pushed him hurriedly.

Fu Linghe didn't move at all. Instead, he took advantage of her struggling strength to hold her on his legs.

She fell into his arms and could feel his burning body temperature through her hospital gown.

"Five days." Fu Linghe spoke slowly, his breath scalding her ear, making her tremble. "Not even a minute longer."

Yun Zheng grabbed his collar, her nails scraping across his collarbone through the fabric. "If the wound opens, I won't take care of you."

"Then split it open." Fu Linghe nonchalantly bit her rebellious finger, grinding it gently with his canine teeth. "We have a doctor at home anyway."

Seeing that she was about to refute, he suddenly grabbed the back of her head and kissed her, swallowing the unfinished words between his lips and teeth.

This kiss was filled with the desire that had been suppressed for many days, and Yun Zheng was soon dizzy from his kiss.

He was not released until her oxygen ran out. She lay on his shoulder, panting, and suddenly felt her palms wet.

Yun Zheng looked down and saw that a light pink color had indeed seeped out from the edge of the gauze.

"Fu Linghe!" She suddenly jumped up from his arms and hurriedly pressed the call bell, "Look at what you have done!"

The man lazily leaned against the headboard, looked at the bleeding wound and actually smiled, "It was worth it."

When the nurse and the doctor hurried over, Fu Linghe was being beaten with a pillow by Yun Zheng.

He blocked with one hand, a satisfied smile on his face, not caring at all about the re-bandaged wound on his arm.

"If you make any more trouble, you'll have to stay for five more days." Jiang Chenyu's voice came from the door. He had come back without knowing when, and there was a tranquilizer in the pocket of his white coat.

Fu Linghe's face darkened instantly, "How dare you!"

Yun Zheng took the opportunity to get out of his arms, "He's like this..."

"I saw it." Jiang Chenyu raised his eyebrows, a cold light flashing across his glasses. "I suggest physical isolation."

Fu Linghe burst into laughter and pulled the quilt over himself, "Alright, you've become quite capable."

He stared at Yun Zheng and suddenly softened his voice, "Come here, the wound hurts."

Even though she knew he was pretending, Yun Zheng still softened her heart.

As soon as she approached, she was pulled by the wrist and fell back onto the bed. Fu Linghe locked her tightly in his arms and raised an eyebrow at Jiang Chenyu, "Are you not leaving yet?"

"Go, go, go, go now!" Jiang Chenyu put down the tranquilizer and said, "Give me an injection before bed."

After the door was closed, Fu Linghe immediately threw the injection into the trash can.

Yun Zheng struggled to look at his wound, but he pressed the back of his neck against hers and said, "It's really okay."

He suddenly dropped his joking expression and said seriously, "But you have to promise me that after five days, no matter who comes to stop me, it won't work!"

"I understand." Yun Zheng covered his mouth, rubbing her palm against his newly sprouted stubble. "But there are conditions."

She leaned close to his ear and whispered something.

Fu Linghe's pupils suddenly shrank, and his Adam's apple rolled. "You did this on purpose, didn't you?"

Yun Zheng smiled like a cat stealing fish, her fingertips tapping his chest. "Anyway, for these five days, whatever you say doesn't count."

The setting sun completely sank into the horizon, and the last ray of golden light passed across Fu Linghe's handsome face with gritted teeth.

He suddenly pulled the quilt over them both, and his deep laughter mixed with Yun Zheng's screams were completely drowned in the soft darkness.
